This was my third time using RTT. They are always very reasonably priced, show up on time and are incredibly professional when loading vehicles. We also use them one time when my mother-in-law was in an accident and they were so gracious and helpful even though she was very nervous. Couldn't recommend more highly.
Absolutely top-tier service. They handled a customer vehicle for me with total professionalism, careful, and great communication from start to finish. You can tell they actually respect the cars they transport, which is huge for a shop like mine. Made the entire process effortless and stress-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable tow.
These people towed my car from my condo complex because the resident tag wasn’t visible. In their perverse minds, they think that’s justification to charge me $298 to release my car back to me. Clearly, the issue isn’t whether or not you’re authorized to park, it’s whether or not they see the sign. What a racket. Reporting it to DMV. For $298, they can take me being a pain in the ass.
Ordered a tow for $850. Initially it seemed like a good experience, with a decent human. I had called a few other places for quotes, but one of the places showed up and i didn't realize it was two different tow companies. Needless to say, these people DID NOT tow my car the 99 miles I paid them for, but did show up. Obviously it was my mistake, HOWEVER he is now refusing to respond to me, nvm refund me. (Mind you, I don't even expect a full refund because I did waste some of his time) this is THEFT.
ALSO he texted me saying he only takes cash, then magically could take venmo. What kind of tow company doesnt take card payments?
Just checked my venmo account and it's a completely different person now, than the account that my money was originally sent to. Idk who Kirstin Smith is, but I never sent her money. I unfortunately now have to contact the police to try to get my money back.
Carlos is extremely rude and was not helpful at all! Tells me false information and when I call back to confirm he tells me he never said any of the things, when he did. Also tells you he’s going to call you back and never does. Has such a nasty attitude, absolutely do not recommend doing business with them!
A pleasure to do business with despite the unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances that occurred to my vehicle’s alternator.
The call rep was a pleasant man and understood urgency and got right to business with me; this was really appreciated. I told him where I broke down and where I needed it to be towed. Fast and easy.
I also appreciated the solid price for the job. I tried to negotiate but he was hard to budge. He seemed to know his stuff...
I want to also give a shoutout to the driver of the tow truck Wes. He was very professional and maintained composure even while juggling many things; a true talent. My car was delivered safely.
Before I knew it, my car was towed and awaiting repair at the car shop. I will be writing a review of the car shop next!
Not serious... he promises that will call back right away and never did. Called him several times to confirm that will show up on the place of the brake down, never got an honest answer. Avoid him if you can.
People need to take all the complain to CT DMV and have this company Investigated.. this is a family company where they been covered them self from everything. and they always sending a message online (saying call to this discuss the issues. listen) Don't waste your time talking to them because nothing get fix for this people company you wrong and they always right... this company is a trash ? do not follow the contract they do whatever they want breaking the rules ?
These people are so unprofessional car got towed my fault registration expired paid 299.48 125.00 for the towing another 125.00 because they couldn't let me take my car without emissions then wanted me to wait 2 hours for a driver who was in Mass. Seriously they expect me to believe they run a business with one flatbed!!!! Anyway fees and other things they charge went up 299.48 ended up picking up my truck they left outside of gate then didn't even have the face to see me out with my car so I gifted 125.00 cause driver didn't take my car to emissions test worst towing ever
Horrible towing company! They were speaking to me as if I didn’t understand English and made me feel discriminated as a hispanic woman even though I understand English perfectly. The woman I spoke to was very rude and had a horrible attitude. They are not friendly whatsoever!
This company was very rude on the phone. I have never felt more disrespected in my entire life. Would NOT recommend! Much better places than this company. I will not tolerate foul language when I just asking a simple question!
Extremely rude. They have damaged my car and refused to take responsibility! Never again!!! The driver was very disrespectful and refused to explain anything when being asked simple questions about their process.
My car was towed and it was my own fault. I took too long to transfer my registration from my parents to myself and my apartment complex had it towed for not having the correct parking pass. Does tow company charge me double of what they have posted at our apartment complex and the manager who could make those adjustments refuse to come to the office and help all the people that got towed the night before. He told his secretary if we want our cars back we have to pay whatever she asks. I recently saw on the news that there was a tow company owner that was arrested for charging more than was advertised. These cars were registered and for whatever reason didn't have their new parking pass yet and we were screwed in that way in the first place. I can understand towing vehicles that are not registered or broken down. You're already hurting people in a section 8 apartment complex and your decision is to double charge these people. I was originally given a price of three times what is posted and when I arrivedthey told me $60 less because I picked it up in the morning and it wasn't an overnight charge and I was surprised because I would have paid the extra $60 to pick it up right then and there so I could have gone to work because I also missed a day of work for this which makes me wonder if section 8 wants us to pay them or not because if I can't go to work I can't pay my rent. Please do not use this company for car repairs or any towing Service as they will overcharge you and also charge you for extra fees for items not even used on your vehicle ie: dolly, flatbed, labor... I don't understand what any of the labor charges were for since I already paid $105 for hookup and that includes the labor of hooking up that's what the charge is for. Lol. Anyways if you have any kind of common sense you will not use this company! I was charged $300 for my tow, the vehicle was picked up at 2:00 a.m. and I retrieved it from their office at 9 a.m. my car requires no special hookup or any extra labor fees or costs and is a very basic and easy transport. My toe should have been around $160 including taxes and any fees. We are 10 mi apart. Please don't use this company!
RTT just boxed in a family member dropping my young son and I after a school event at my apartment complex. Very rude company. We were being dropped off, in an open parking spot, engine running. Just unloading a bike and large instrument. Took 3 asks to get them to move. I was not thrilled by the 3rd time.
Rude, dishonest and predatory. Will be filing a complaint and legal action if necessary. Called to inform them and the guy simply didn't care. Our Bibles and kids car seats were in the car and the guy would not let me at least get them out first. I've lived her for 6 years and I'm parked illegally??? Ok RTT, let's see how this turns out.
We had a flat tire and need a tow on a Sunday. These guys came within 40 minutes and were very helpful, professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them.
The dispatcher covering on 3/11/2023 at approximately 8-10pm was very rude, insensitive and had poor customer service skills. I will be filing a complaint with the business owner on the next business day. Monday 3/13/2023
These people are terrible. Guy told me $220 and he’d drop it around the corner. Of course had to be cash. Then threatened to charge an additional $40 for taking it to the shop because I was arguing with him and then threatened again to charge more and keep until Monday! He brought it to the shop and the bill was $193 which they also demanded to be cash “because they don’t take cards when the office is closed” yet the door had all the cc logos on it and the hours said open until 3. It was way before 3. The fee was 105$ Then a mileage fee of $23 and another random charge couldn’t even read on receipt for $54 and when we called said it “might be a fuel charge”. no morals no values clearly dishonest.
My boyfriend and I were driving along the Connecticut River and saw the moon rise which was blood orange. I wanted to pull over and take pictures and he had remembered parking at a spot on the canal trail. We drive into this parking lot next to this apartment building and see no signs suggesting we can’t park there. We go up to this fence to take picture and this tow truck pulls up and makes eye contact and leaves. We didn’t think anything of it. He then comes back and as we start walking back he see him backing into my car to lift it. We scream and say hey we are just leaving and my boyfriend knocks on his window. He ignores us and still lifts the car. At this point we had been parked for a total of 5 minutes. We explained to the tow truck driver that we were just taking pictures of the moon and we would head out because we didn’t realize it was trespassing and that we had asked him to not lift it and he sped up to do so.
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE they were supposed to tow my car the man lied about doing so and said where my car was at would not let him get my car when they stated that was not true he then closed my case saying that he got my car and dropped it off when he did not and IGNORED all of my calls after that. Literally the worst towing company ever do not use please because they will waste your time.
**ALERT!! PLEASE READ THIS FULLY BEFORE CALLING THIS PLACE TO SAVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY**
I had to ring up this place to get my flat tire change during the July 4th around 2 AM . The person responded to my call and sent a service professional in an hour or so to provide service but quoted $150 for a tire change. I had to opt in as I did not have any other option to get myself on the road again. Due to the hassle at that timeI forgot to get the receipt for service to submit my Insurance company for reimbursement. So I gave a call on Tuesday to the office and requested for a digital receipt and ‘NEVER’ got it. The person in the office stopped answering my calls couple of days later and now says that they don’t do receipts in office and I have to wait till the driver who provided service rings me up which never happened.
I really don’t understand how they are in business for the past 20+ years as they’ve advertised in the website. Plus they advertise as a family owned local company which also may be a false information. I’ve never had such an experience with a family business entity as they are always willing to help their customers. I’m really disappointed and would never recommend this place. I’d definitely stay away from this place even for an emergency.
And I also you may see bunch of 5 stars in the recent reviews (all within a month) which I’m sure they are friends and family of this ownership. I would’ve rated this place with a negative rating if I could. Read the negative reviews (from already impacted customers) before making your decision. I never had written such a long negative comment but I had to as I wanted to give you all the right picture. I’m also a user who depends on the place’s service by reading through reviews. Hope this was helpful.
Great company! Came to my rescue, my tire blew out & messed up my rim, they came picked up in minutes & took me straight to my house. The best part was the great price this company offers you. Thank you so much!!
Who ever was on Saturday night around 930 PM- was awful. Very disrespectful especially when two females came in and knew what they was talking about. Family friend called the shop to get a break down of the price because it seemed too high & whoever was on, he was disrespectful and cussing at the person who called . I wouldn’t recommend! Need a good tow company in CT I recommend not going to this one!
