Surprised at the high star reviews. For a place that has a simple purpose it was jarring how rude and terrible the staff was at this place. Understanding there are limited places we can go to do our recycling, that doesnt excuse the yelling, and terrible customer service. Its very clear that the men that work here are exist and treat women with utter disrespect. They should be investigated. Unbelievable how terrible they treat women customers.

I'll never come back. First time here, there was an Indian guy screaming at me yelling me plastic goes here about three times. I said ok each time. It was my first time here I just wanted to see what to do. Then he screamed at me read the sign. I put my plastic and cans on the carts outside. I brought them in (i didn't see a sign that said don't do that. Indian guy came over and continuously screamed at me THE CARTS CANNOT COME INSIDE!!!. I broke and raised my tone ok I didn't know, you NEED TO RELAX. If it wasn't for a nice patron to help me I would have left. Worst place on the planet, ill never come back. The patron also told me they do not respect women at all so shocker

Separate your plastic,cans and 2 liter bottles and go in way faster than bringing them to the grocery store . I just returned $57 worth of returns in less than 10 min

This place is horrendous. The people are not polite that must have been somebody who works there. They require you to have a hundred of either plastic or can not collectively but individually 100. They require you to utilize their bags which now are costing us $0.50. however if you live close by there is an alternative which is key foods. They don't require a minimum they don't require you to pay for bags. They're right in the neighborhood.

I used to frequent the south Windsor location because I have a lot of cans to redeem. Every time I go there it always seems to be an issue ( the guy in charge)with my cans& bottles.( And I don't get the ones back that get rejected!)I recommend the Manchester ct location Zero issues thus far!

Quick and easy at first I was a little confused but I got in the swing of things quick just bring everything nice and separated and you’ll be out in minutes

I dropped off 1570ish cans and was only there for maybe 20-30 mins. It helps to have cans and bottles resorted before you go (i have my 5 year old grab the cans and put them in a bag so obviously it wasn't done right). For the most part people seem flexible.

Super quick, staff is always friendly and helpful, especially the guy that usually cashes you out; I was practically in tears thinking I lost my vape there (typical) and he helped me search until I found it, honestly above and beyond lol

They didn't take my glass bottles, minus 2 stars. I only had 18 of them in a box. He said they can only take glass outside the building & it was raining. OK, no big deal, my plastic & cans were redeemed just fine. But by the time I was ready to leave it had COMPLETELY STOPPED raining. But they still wouldn't take my glass bottles. Very strange. So beware, you may not be able to redeem glass bottles depending on the weather & who's working that day. "shrug*

05/10/25: Easiest & fastest way so far to redeem your plastic bottles & cans... glass bottles in boxes only. HINT: count them before you go & tell them you did. I did & got in faster. Nice man (? Owner?) . Staff is polite & fast.

They have the counter machines. Pretty organized. I was in and out quickly! Not a lot of parking though, but luckily it was not full.

Even though the website says they take microbrews, they do not. The man said “we don’t take craft beer.” How do you define craft beer? Anything not Budweiser? Number of barrels brewed per year? I had cans from several Connecticut breweries, most bought at the local grocery store. The man sorted through saying “craft” and tossing it off the belt. I came home with a big box of Connecticut purchased cans each of which I paid a .10 deposit.

First amazingly patient staff! Incredibly annoying owner. Instead of yelling at customers who put cans and bottles in the wrong colored bag maybe put it on your website CLEAR BAGS ONLY or try answering the phone.. I had 400+ bottles and cans I'm not sitting in your parking lot to rebag them.

First time going there today and was pleasantly surprised. First of all there was a line when we got there and it went very quickly considering how many bags of bottles everybody had. Number two when we got in there it was so much cleaner than I expected it to be. And number three the gentleman that works there were very pleasant and professional. Great find!!!!!

Super easy. I'd looked over their website so I already knew to separate bottles and cans (and 2L bottles), and only ended up bringing 3 bags of 12oz bottles. In and out in under 5 minutes. I think I spent longer the in parking lot doing a mobile order from the nearby McDonalds than I did inside with my redemption!

Great place do returnables. They take cans from microbreweries. The machines automate the counting process, making it fast and efficient. You have to count your 2L bottles and separate plastics, cans and glass. I recommend separating your returnables before arriving to keep things efficient. Parking can be a bit tight at times but not bad. I’ve never had to wait long if there was a line at the door. I’m looking forward to their new location in Vernon which will be a shorter commute for me.

I had a ton of water bottles to return. A ton! Staff was super nice to me - it was my first time going. It’s a fast paced place. Make sure your bottles are all separated - plastics, 2 liter, glass. It’ll go faster for you and staff. I’ll definitely go back. Quick and easy

I went here today. Overall it’s good, but there is a lady that was yelling about the bottles. I have no problem being told the correct way on how these are done, but no need to yell or follow people. Treat everybody with respect...... We are all humans and have feelings. The guy that helped me with my bottles was great!

Amazing experience! I went on Monday 6/8 and this is the best redemption center I’ve been to and I’ve been to many. Simple and easy process. Very friendly staff. The man who gave me my redemption cash even asked me “is this your first time here?” “How did you find us?” He seemed genuinely interested and invested with the business. If I can give 6 stars I would.

Every time I go to return my bottles/cans, there is someone who helps me prepare and be as efficient as possible. The staff is helpful and kind. It is out of my way a bit, but it is worth it not to have to count. They have machines that sort and count, and the experience is quick. Simple rules to follow: separate plastic bottles and cans in different bags, and being glass bottles in a case box, then it will go even quicker.

Excellent so tired of the Bottle machines at the stores. Excellent staff. Anyone who doesn't rate this 5 stars obviously has not had the experience of returning bottles elsewhere in CT at any grocery store machines
