This Checkered Flag Auto has great service! My mother asked me to post this for her. She brought her car in for her car tire to be checked because it seemed to be leaking. The owner took the tire off, inspected the tire, could find no problems and told her that the Fix-A-Flat the I put on the tire must have worked! Did not charge her and did not try to sell her or cheat her into buying a tire. She will go back again if or when she needs a tire or tire or service! He seems nice and honest!
Checkered Flag is absolutely wonderful. I admire the gentlemen Eric and Sean. They are so down to earth, and so helpful. All of the technicians work so hard to provide such excellent and timely service. I had an IID unit installed in my Subaru, and the company (intoxolock) they were trying to work with is absolutely terrible. These guys worked tirelessly spending hours on the phone with this useless company to make sure my device was going to be installed properly. Eric was SO helpful, such a genuine guy, and so pleasant to talk with. Same with Sean, so polite and friendly to talk with and they made sure my car was safe to drive. I highly recommend these folks! Wonderful people.
These guys are very honest and truthful independent mechanics. When my rogue's transmission died (shocker) and the dealership organized an independent transmission shop to repair it, there were new check engine lights despite a completed transmission swap. Neither dealership or transmission shop wanted to fix these new check engine lights and blamed them on us or wanted more cash to diagnose despite the car coming in only with transmission codes (with documented evidence too!). Dealership wanted to change a whole wire harness charging us extra thousands saying it was electrical problems that spontaneously occurred. Transmission shop said the car was our problem and wouldn't help.
Checkered flag was then given the car with the task to prove the wire harness wasn't bad and after explaining the situation did countless continuity checks, documented, and verified the check engine faults pointed to working parts and not a sudden wire issue. They verified the diagnosis from the dealership was wrong, and ultimately found a bent ecm pin. With this documentation in hand, we were able to hold the transmission shop accountable for negligent repairs and damage to the ecm when they took the car apart. These guys know their stuff and saved us money in a wasted time wite harness repair, and got us the documentation needed to compensate a new ECM on the transmission shop.
They did an outstanding job towing my car, arrived on time, and even went the extra mile to help me out (Nick) he retrieved the car key and my phone/wallet where I had mistakenly thrown them where they should not be! definitely going extra on the service aspect. Thank you!!!
These guys were able to help me in a bind and provided EXCELLENT service! They were very communicative with me and they did their best to make sure I got my repair completed before the holiday weekend. If you're looking for an honest local mechanic, look no further. THANK U GUYS???
Paid over 2k in labor and they couldn’t find the issue or point me in any right direction. And didn’t even put my truck back together when I got it towed out of there. Do not recommend
Broke down right in front of Checkered Flag today. The guys in the shop uptop were extremely kind and helpful when it came to getting me back on the road and helping me out when I was going through a stressful situation. They definitely earned my trust and recommendation.
Juan arrived quickly and towed my vehicle with no issues. That was the best tow service I ever had. I will use this company again in the future because of Juan and his professionalism and knowledge.
Do not use this towing company. They left my push button start vehicle in the on position for the whole tow and after they dropped it in my driveway. This led me to end up with a dead battery. Then when I called my insurance company for a second tow... they sent Checkered Flag again. This time I waited over 4 hours just to find out that they were not coming. Nobody called me to let me know. This is not a reputable company. They are not knowledgeable. Jeff the supervisor has awful customer service.
They are irresponsible and have no consideration for their customers. Their drivers are high on marijuana and have their girlfriends riding around with them. (LIABILITY) No seat belts on. And the owner claims to be a Master Mechanic yet none of the tow trucks have radios or air conditioners so how well does he care about his customers or employees? Also his employees should not be hitting on or asking out their passengers. Probably just a front business.
Drinking is not against the law and after being left on the roadside for 6 hours with no response or communication will cause people to be angry and call you ignorant. You treat your customers with ignorance and are mad that you got told about it. Your business sucks!
Once a year, it seems like I get unlucky and always get some nail or sharp object in my tire, causing me to lose air and flatten the tire. Luckily, these guys are here to patch it at an affordable price.
Everyone here I spoke with/ dealt with was so nice and helpful. Even though they had to deliver a bad diagnosis of a blown timing belt that killed the engine, everyone was kind and sensitive about it. Everyone was nice enough to give their advice on how to move forward. The tow driver was patient with my instructions on where to park it when they dropped it off at home. The service agent was so kind about delivering the bad news and was apologetic about having to give it and lady who answered the phone answered all my questions with care. I will absolutely be back with my next vehicle. It was nice to be treated like a human by mechanics for a change and not just $$ signs. They could have given bad advice about fixing my car but instead were very honest. I've been to a few shops over the years and this experience was the complete opposite. They didn't take advantage of the fact I'm a woman, they just gave me the honest truth about my vehicle even if it means they lose out on $$ with labor fixing a vehicle that has met the end of its life. 10/10 recommend.
My insurance company's roadside assistance linked me with Checkered Flag for a tow to my dealer when my car broke down. When Ray arrived, he looked at my car first to see what the problem was and determined that I only needed a new battery. He jumped the car and gave me instructions on how to handle the vehicle until a new battery was installed. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and saved me from an expensive trip to the dealer. Visit #2 was great. Quick service and was able to salvage my tire. The only issue was they over inflated my tire by 15 psi so I had to drain it a little. Will continue to come here

These folks give new meaning to exceptional customer service at a tire center! Everyone smiles, are friendly and accommodating. I brought in a small tractor tire for repair. Before I knew it, the job was done and I was on my way. Fair price. I would definitely use again and I am already spreading the word. These folks are GREAT! They deserve all the business they get. In the late fall of 2022, I was advised to put snow tires on the front of my 2016 Nissan Rogue AWD. This spring of 2023, I had the snow tires taken off, and I purchased two used tires to replace them. After driving the car for about 5 miles I began to hear an unusual noise from the drivetrain. It turns out that my differential was destroyed. Upon further research, the Rogue manual advises to never mismatch tires on the vehicle, neither manufacturers, tread pattern, or tread depth.
The complete repair job plus new tires cost me $3600. Checkered Flag refused to acknowledge that the mismatched tires could’ve been the cause of the problem, even though it’s a known possibility. The best they would do was refund me the cost of the two used tires that I purchased for $120.
In the final analysis, I concluded it was completely my fault for not adhering to the guidelines that are clearly stated in the Owner’s Manual, even though the Checkered Flag owner advised me that it would not be a problem.
I didn’t expect Checkered Flag to share in the repair cost with me, but I did ask them to re-purchase all the tires (the snow tires, and the other two used tires that were on the vehicle) as I would never have any use for them since I had four new tires on the car now. They refused to offer that small gesture, which signaled to me that my business was not important to them. Therefore, I will not be utilizing their services ever again.

This place has always been phenomenal. I contacted Nick after briefly considering another local shop for a second, and I was swift to be reminded on why this place is beyond the others. They worked with me on the uniqueness of my situation, looked for a tire that was discontinued, and very overall very accommodating get my vehicle in timely. When we encountered an issue with one of the wheels and tire, no fault of the shops but rather totally mine, they were very accommodating to help resolve the issue and get my truck back on the road timely. Their pricing was very fair and in all fairness they really went above and beyond for what my situation entailed. Looking forward to returning for an alignment.

Awesome service. I called 10min before I arrived got the tires I needed and was on the road within an hour. I bring my mom's car there. I trust them. They did pads rotors all the filters in one day. Called me at 330pm to pick it up. My mother was very happy with her car. There just Ricky Tik on jobs. Do it right and The prices are reasonable. the staff are helpful and fast. I highly recommend this shop.

I was referred to Checkered Flag after a few attempts at another place failed to fix the issues with my daughter's Jeep. They walked me through their thoughts, and kept me informed on everything going on. I even got texts and emails throughout the process. They were able to fix everything, including ordering and getting new tires in 2 days! Now, I know my daughter will be safe in her vehicle this winter. After multiple failed attempts at TownFair Tire to balance my tires (wrong pressure, weights falling off etc) I opted to try someone local. Checkered Flag did not disappoint! Everyone was extremely polite. The owner heard my horror story of what I went through, immediately began work on my tires. The staff were all polite and knowledgeable. They showed me how off my tires were, used heat to ensure the weights were glued on well and used black weights to match my rims. They were quick and affordable. I am a customer for life! Also bought wipers which they put on and they were a great deal for Bosch!
Dealing with used car dealerships can be a nerve wracking, frustrating and exhausting experience, but with these guys it was anything but. They understand and are very direct, straight to the point, no games and stand by their word to deliver a very safe, reliable used vehicle. The crew is very courteous and on more than 1 occasion, I've had tires replaced during lunch break from work. They have always completed the job so I wasn't late getting back.
