Interstate Batteries has a major flaw: they don't keep electronic purchase records or send digital receipts. This is a red flag, a practice you'd expect from shady businesses, not a major retailer. Why do they do this? It makes returns a nightmare. Every other modern store offers electronic receipts for easy returns, accounting, and tax purposes. It's incredibly inconvenient when you only buy a battery every 2-3 years and they don't keep paper receipts for long. This is simply unacceptable and feels deliberately unhelpful.
On top of that, the motorcycle batteries I buy from them every couple of years seem to be getting worse, so their product quality is probably only 3-star.
Top Notch!! They are quick with requests and they are always here for the weekly pickup and drop off without any issues.. Couldn't be happier with their service. Highly recommended!!
Horrible service.
Prices given over the phone are different than prices in person, no fks given, trying to warranty a battery takes 24 hrs, and warranties aren't honored by the shops receipt and install date, but rather the date the battery was manufactured, which in my case was 3 months prior to installation in my car.
Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
Edit: back again and this place is awesome! If you need a quick battery change out and or need them to test it, these are professionals that know what they’re doing. I got a little nervous going to a local auto parts store, but I knew the service I had when I was here, so I decided to come back! No waiting room, but no need! You are in and out! 2/2025
This place was outstanding! When my battery died in Fairfield the Geico mechanic that showed up gave the recommendation of coming here. 15 minutes before they closed I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. They checked my battery to make sure I needed a new one, they review the pricing and offered refurbished as well as top of the line, and I was able to choose what works best and only had to wait seven minutes to have my battery installed! Thank you so much to these professional gentleman who made it happen quickly. And now my Friday doesn’t seem as bad after all! I picked a new battery and $111 was on my way!
Been here twice, both times were fantastic experiences. Friendly, and free installation has saved my hundreds of dollars. AAA wanted over $170 just to install my Audi battery... These guys did it in ten minutes. Interstate has a lifelong customer in me.

The battery died 1 month after the 30 month warranty, and the cost to replace was another $120. Pretty disappointed as it was supposed to last 3-5 years and didn’t make it even half of that.
Also installation is no longer free, now minimum $10.
I've been coming to Interstate for 4 year now. The service provided by Hov and Kamoy are exceptional. They are not only knowledgeable but they show that they care. Kamoy saved my life changing out my battery right before closing for the holiday. I can't thank him enough!
Quick fast and easy! I went there this morning to get a new battery and the gentleman kindly came outside swap them out for me and I was on my way I always go to this place I never have any issues there!
Knowledgeable and courteous staff. Testing of batteries is performed to verify the need of replacement. Inventory of batteries is onsite so you can either take it with you or they will install into your vehicle.
I bought a battery from them about 1 year and 1/2 ago I was having issues with it do I brought it back and they gladly took it in and did a 24 hour charge on it and gave me a loner battery that worked great until they were done repairing mine for free great job

I'm giving this place 2 stars because the batteries are great. DO NOT go there if you have an AUDI A4. I thought that Audi is a normal car but after paying $200+ for the battery, the guy was under my hood for 30+ minutes and could figure out how to install A BATTERY!! LOL, Interstate didn't know how to install a CAR BATTERY. I pulled up a video on my phone to show him, but he still couldn't do it. So then another guy came out to look. After 5 mins, he told them to give me my money back -- that they didnt have "the tool" to install the battery. Mind you, i brought it to another place to install, paying $50. They said there is no special tool required. So i guess, BEWARE if you have an Audi.
Was online looking for a good battery for my battery booster box to jump cars/machines when battery’s are dead. Called them and they had the battery i needed and the battery was a better grade / amp-voltage output for better jumping power. Guy was very nice and the battery is great. Also needed two battery’s for my boat and we all know how much battery can cost for boats. He hooked me up with high grade/excellent CCA deep cell (cold cranking amps) battery’s for the boat also. Prices were almost the same then online and I know the battery’s weren’t on the shelve for a long time (nice fresh battery’s) I highly recommend the place.
I went there a year ago to have them my backup power generator battery which was made in 2013 and put in service in 2014. They tested it unloaded and loaded and told me I could probably get one more year. Just based on that experience they will have my business.
So here we are one year later, they tested it again and noted that it failed the test under load. You don't want your backup power generator to not start as generally weather conditions are not great if it needs to come on. While I was there I had my VW MkV R32 battery tested. This is a 2008 model year car with the original battery, trunk mounted and a PITA to access for the uninformed. Not surprisingly, it too needed replacement when tested under load. I watched the tech test both batteries. When they replaced the car battery they also hooked up a backup power supply to the car so that no memory settings were lost.
I was in and out in under 30 minutes. Oh yes, I also recycled another lead/acid battery that came out of my home network UPS.

Great company. Highly recommended. Seen many other customers in andbbout while my battery was changed and some were told that their batteries were ok, and to have their charging system checked. That's great service. An autocrat store would have sold you a battery anyway.
Yes cheap batteries start at $50 which they call a 1-year battery which is only warranty for 6 months ,then they tell you they have a four-year battery which in actuality is only warranty for 18 months when I asked him to explain that to me they told me that's the projected life of the battery so in actuality it's only in 18 month battery buyer beware
Super excited they were open on the weekend. Amazed at the service provided. I did not expect them to install the battery for me free of charge. Very pleased with this business besides everyone being friendly.
Its good but they gave me a bad batterie and i was confused i was about to buy a alternator but thankvgod i went to autozone to get it check and it was the baterie i bought for 100 the good thing is that interstate check it and gave me a brand new one
