Scott’s Automotive was a God send. I flew into town to buy a car and drive it home. There was a bad miss. I called to see if they could get me in that day. They took my car in and I waited in downtown Fort Collins to head back from them. My car got a new set of spark plugs and she ran like a champ. I am very pleased with the service that they provided. I had a great experience. Brian was my advisor. He took great care of me when looking to get my Jeep grand Cherokee service. They were very thorough in what I needed to fix my vehicle as well as keeping top of mine. What items were more priority over others I love the fact that They also have loaner cars if they have to keep your car for more than a couple days to not inconvenience you I did not feel like anyone was trying to get over on me. I took my car many places before and prices were just outrageous. They are fair price and I would highly recommend taking your car here For any kind of repair.
Scott’s Auto has great service ! Above all, they are honest and don’t tell you your car will explode if you don’t spend $4k NOW, like so many other places I’ve been too. They get the work done quickly, they are very specific and clear about the issues (even providing informative videos ) and they treat you with respect and kindness. They are quick to give you a ride when needed. Finally, they are the most reasonably priced auto shop that I’ve been to in Ft. Collins. Highly recommend.
I had an awesome experience at Scott’s Automotive. Logan was the primary contact, and he was professional and excellent at communicating throughout the process. Unlike some mechanics who leave you uncertain, Scott’s Automotive kept me well-informed. They also offered a complimentary shuttle service and provided snacks and ice-cold drinks while I waited.
Got an oil change there. Scheduled by appointment but they almost didnt have it done in 4 hours they almost didnt finish in the same day. They also offered to fix a nail and a flat. After charging us and finishing everything else found out ourselves they in fact didn't do anything about the nail even though they drove it to their lot and told us it was good to go
Scott’s Auto scheduled us at a convenient time and sent a thorough diagnostic inspection report for our car. Alissa was always quick to respond with details and pricing. The work was completed in a timely manner. We will use this shop again.
Driving in for graduation and had an engine problem pop up Thursday afternoon. After calls to several other mechanics, Scott's was actually recommended by another shop. Scott's did an awesome job giving me an estimated cost and time frame for getting the work done. Knowing we were leaving town Monday, they fit me in and were able to diagnose, fix and get me back on the road! Huge thanks to Scott for communicating via text and email with the progress and completion, and making arrangements for me to pick up after hours on Saturday. Whether you're from FoCo or in town and need fast professional work, I'd highly recommend Scott's!
Been coming to Scott’s for years—typically the repairs are very costly but they always do a great job so you get what you pay for.
Last week, I brought in my VW beetle for a diagnostics. Per their diagnostics report, I replaced the damaged transmission pan, new brake fluid, and two new axles. Upon finishing my car, they let me know that it could use an alignment. The alignment was just fine when I brought it in, and I even had an alignment done very recently. The alignment did not raise concerns in the initial diagnostics report—got a green check and they would’ve noticed right away if it needed to be fixed. I raised these points to the front desk at checkout and they did not offer the alignment fix even though it was recently perfectly aligned and did not have any issues until they put the two new axles on. Feels like they messed up alignment.
UPDATE:
I received a call from Scott’s a few days after this review. The person I talked to was very nice and offered to have the alignment fixed at no charge. Took it in and had it done in about 45 minutes, thanks for making it right!
Had an okay experience at Scott’s Auto. The online appointment system was nice to use, and they have a free shuttle service to take you around. Front desk staff seemed very pleasant. After the oil change, they go over a lot of info in the inspection.
I noticed there was a dirty hand print on the hood of my car where the tech had closed it. Can’t say I’ve seen that before after getting a service, but no big deal. However, when I went to wash my car, I noticed that all 4 push pins that hold the lower cover to the bumper are all totally missing and the bottom of the bumper is now incredibly loose. I will update this review if the owner reaches out.
Update, they reached out the next day. They had 4 new push-pins waiting for me and immediately put my car on the lift when I arrived without giving them notice. Based on how seriously they took my issue, I got the impression that mistakes like that aren’t the norm. I was out of there less than 10 minutes after I arrived, and they made things right.
All staff personnel I worked with were great. Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I was helped quickly upon arrival, and everything was explained thoroughly and proficiently. My car was in good condition when I picked it up-no messes. I feel confident about taking my car back to them with any further issues. This seems like a really great shop!

I can't say enough great things about Scott’s Fort Collins Auto! My boss took his car in for some repairs, and was pleasantly surprised that Scott himself took care of him from start to finish. He was not only incredibly patient but also transparent throughout the entire process.
One thing that really stood out was how he went above and beyond by working directly with the insurance company to get a portion of the bill covered—something we didn’t expect at all. It’s rare to find a shop where the owner is so hands-on and genuinely cares about making sure the customer is taken care of.

Honestly was nervous being a girl and not knowing anything about cars I was afraid of being scammed but best experience ever! From start to finish very professional EVERYTHING is explained to you and never did I feel anyone was being pushy or just trying to sell me things. I payed for an oil change and had my car inspected since I just bought a used car. All the things recommended to change had pictures attached and videos to help understand everything. Just 10/10 superstar service can happily say this is where I will always be going for car stuff and will recommend 100%!!
I recently had my truck in for a lot of overdue work. I worked with Scott Anderson and he, along with the rest of the staff, offered superior customer service. They had my truck for two days and I was able to use a loaner car while they worked on my truck. Upon getting my truck back, I noticed a couple of issues, but was able to take it back in the next day and they discovered that one of the parts they replaced was faulty and they warranted it no problem and had my truck back by the afternoon. I have nothing but good things to say about this outfit and will continue to take my truck there for all future servicing. Thank you again!
We're traveling cross country from MD and needed a repair to our truck. Mike immediately took our truck and repaired it so that we can get back on the road. He didn't even charge us for the repair! I worked with Scott Anderson throughout the entire process of fixing my car and he was incredible. I never had a problem reaching him when I called in with questions, and he ran everything by me, explaining it in detail, to make sure I understood everything they were suggesting for my car. I will absolutely consider returning to Scott’s Auto in the future!
My first impression of them was that they have a very clean and welcoming facility and a friendly reception area. They did an inspection on my 2011 Ford Edge and had a very thorough report with pictures. However the prices they charge here are outrageous I went in for a check engine light which I already got the code for at another place and did my research. The issue was a simple cleaning of a part that should have been quick and easy. I needed some maintenance so I settled for having them do the work they quoted which ended up being about $1,500 a lot more than I bargained for when I first came to them. Here is the catch that is the reason for the one star review. 2 Days after the inspection and work was done my alternator went out, not just a gradual wear and tear type issue. My cars Hud Display was going all over the place and my battery, AWD, brake system, speed gauge, everything was blinking and turning off and full chaos mode. I took it in as soon as I could and they quoted me $1,172.47 for a new alternator. After doing my own research the cost for an alternator for my make and model is around $200-350 and is a fairly simple install. I cannot say for certain that they were responsible for the alternator, but it being only 2 days since the work they did makes me too suspicious to ignore and the price they quoted is just ridiculous. I had a friend help me with it and the alternator cost $218 and a new battery $124 and it took my friend 1 hour 30 minutes to install.
Bummer experience working with these guys. Yeah their facility is nice and they have a shuttle. But everything I’ve had worked on there not only doesn’t work but gets worse! They find a way to get around warranty. This place is a money pit. Also plan on having to call them for updates and your vehicle will be there way longer than they quote you.
Communication from the beginning stages of diagnostics right through the finished repairs were both efficient and fairly priced.

Recently had to get my water pump replaced which is inside the engine and a much more difficult job than I wanted to handle myself. Due to the reputation of Scott’s, I checked with them on the repair. My service advisor, Scott Anderson, was great to work with. He kept me informed, discussed all options, went over in detail all the things the mechanics found, and had my vehicle back to me early and slightly under budget. I have had my daughter take her car in as well for another difficult repair and she had the same experience. I’m glad we have a reputable shop for NoCo and I appreciate their hard work
