Stephen was incredibly helpful. We called the store to get information about the alternator on our 2000 Avalon. We went to the store and he tested it to determine whether we indeed had an alternator or starter issue. Nope. He gave us instructions and tools we needed to clean the terminals. Even came back out of the store to inspect the work my husband was doing and pointed out where it could be improved. Excellent experience.

Will was extremely helpful and took the effort to make sure that I got not only what I needed, but also to make sure I understood how touse it to fix what I needed. He did this while taking the time to help other people. Very impressed and thankful

I told a worker here that my AC was blowing hot and he insisted on a specific r134a refrigerant and gauge, and instructed me how to recharge the refrigerant. What I did not know at the time is that this refrigerant contains sealant, and now every mechanic refuses to service my car's AC because sealant gunks it up and ruins things. Advance Auto Parts seriously screwed me over.

The general manager here is amazing! He helped me replace the back right blinker light on my 2017 Kia Forte, which was difficult for my boyfriend and I to get to. We really appreciate his willingness to help!

Came in with a check engine code right before leaving for a camping trip. The GM, Steven, who was knowledgeable on the issue was on break so I went to wait in the car till he was done. Little did I know while I was talking about the issue to my girlfriend he was in the car next to me on his break. Steven immediately started to help me out, although I said he did not need to come off break early. I was on the road quickly after. This is just one of the multiple examples I’ve been treated with above and beyond customer care here, and they also will often tell you NOT to buy one of their products if there’s a cheaper way to get the job done.

Such a friendly and helpful store! I’m temporarily living in Boulder for the summer so I didn’t bring any tools with me. Stopped by to borrow some and Stephen helped me out so much!

Lazy employee wouldn't perform a battery test for me because it was "below freezing". Any other shop would have helped out, he just didn't want to go outside.

Stopped in looking for an FM Bluetooth Transmitter and the front employee knew they only had the aux cord version currently in stock. He was also from the east coast, and we began chatting about other possible things I needed (or really didn't need, but will need soon). He was so knowledgeable and professional that I decided to purchase a whole assortment of things just a) out of convenience and because the new level of informed I was about my vehicle after coming in. Thanks George for your wonderful service!

I received the best customer service ever from Chelsea and Derrick!! I had a surprise very dead battery and showed up shortly before close. They were very knowledgeable and nice, and got my battery tested and replaced in no time!

I had a great experience here. I had a hole in my tire and I came in to get a repair kit and the person working at the counter ended up just patching the hole for me. He was so kind and helpful with the repair and very personable to talk to. He was also very respectful and didn’t assume anything about my skills or knowledge with cars. I wish I had asked his name so I could give him credit for going above and beyond on a cold snowy night to help me.

Just stopped by the Advanced Auto Parts to find a specific circuit breaker I needed. Their computer system showed they were out of stock. I left the store, but before I could pull away, Abe the clerk that had been helping me, came out of the store, holding the exact item I needed. Not trusting his computer system he had gone in search of it. This is how you build return customers and trust!

I bought a part online paid for it drove an hour to Boulder to pick it up just to find that they sold the part conveniently to a guy who who paid cash right before I got there and then proceeded to tell me it was not her fault that it was her manager who sold it then left early. I urge you not to come here.

Smaller customer area in the store, you may have to ask if the item you’re looking for is in back. (I had to ask for jack stands and a floor jack) Super knowledgeable and experienced staff, but they also have a no BS attitude. They’ll help you fill in the blanks for doing X work on your vehicle, but the closer you get to asking for a step by step, they’ll point you to buying a Haynes manual. I drive by 2 other auto parts stores to get to this one because I know I will only have to drive there once.

Do NOT go here! If you look at 99% of my Google reviews I’m an Incredibly reasonable and understanding person. But every now and again a store will show their true colors. Walked into the store after getting a flat to work on my car in the lot, and upon entering 3 employees just stared at me. After telling me they don’t do tires, a woman that worked there said, “well I hope you learned your lesson.” Didn’t take it personally, and even bought windshield wipers after. I told the next employee I didn’t think they were the right size and he assured me they were with an angry attitude. I put them on and sure enough, wrong size. Called a manager the next day and he hung up on me. I don’t think anyone here actually uses their brain. Go anywhere else in Boulder but here to be treated like a human.

The employee James lost me hundreds of dollars and a week of my time. Ordered me the wrong part, offered an exchange with my car racking up a charge in the mech bay - then told me no exchanges because all alternatives were out of stock. Really? I asked for a refund and am taking my money elsewhere. Rude and incompetent.

I was in here a few weeks ago trying to find tools to fix my flat tire. I was walking around the store for 20 minutes trying to find it since it wasn’t in the tire section. The employees were looking at me the whole time but didn’t ask if I needed any help. When I finally approached them, they knew what I was looking for (since they had clearly overheard my phone conversation.) They said that they had “been out of stock” of the tool for tires for a while… Cmon, this is a auto part store and that’s gotta be one of the most common problems. This was my first time in and will be my last.

I'm always given the best help from Conrad. The big plus is these guys could be auto mechanics if they wanted to and that's so important when you come in with a problem. Conrad has helped me in this way for years. Thanks again for a job well done.

I've been replacing the exhaust system on my car and came in for some quick questions and unfortunately the people were really rude (11/5/20 around 2:30 pm)... I doubt I'll use Advanced Auto Parts again- sick of people in this organization being condescending about auto work. They were also really rude to a woman in there about oil for her scooter. Maybe they had a bad day- but impressions are impressions and I wasn't having it at all!

The clerk's snarky attitude today was unnecessary and very unprofessional. I asked for some cut-to-length heavy gauge wire and as he was retrieving it he audibly said "Waste. Of. Time", purposefully loud enough for me, since there was no one else in the store. Didn't really need this from a customer service representative.

I've been in to this location twice, and both times I've been asked (told?!) to "go to the 30th St. location" instead. Most notably, I purchased a new battery from the 30th St location but it was more convenient to return the core to this location. I was told "we're a former CarQuest location and on a different computer system," so it would be "difficult" to refund my core charge. I pressed on whether it could be done anyway, and the response was it was "not easy," effectively inconvenient. Apparently, it's more inconvenient for them them to get me a refund than for me to drive over to the other location. I eventually got my refund at the 30th St location, who confirmed it was a different computer system and would be more difficult, but noted it was possible. So, Advance, please update you systems so it is not so "difficult." Otherwise, tell your employees to suck it up, and do the right thing in the name of customer service.

Always very helpful when I come in here. And when Kent is working, it's really great. He takes the time to find the right items and to explain tricks on how to install it better. This is the only place I come in town for my auto needs

The salesperson was very pushy. I knew exactly what I needed and he kept trying to upsell me. Told me I would need something else as well and started to scan it without asking me or telling me the price. I needed a simple part, not the whole store.

I stopped in to get some new windshield wipers and was immediately greeted and walked through the process of choosing among the many different options. Conrad took the time to explain the product as well as remove my old wipers and personally install the new ones. Conrad was great and I know where I’ll be going next time I need to purchase auto parts. Thank you!
