When I had to bring my car back, Moises went above and beyond to help me and made sure my car was running much better. The whole team was professional, honest, and helpful—I highly recommend them!

I had a leak coming from my truck and a friend referred me to Riverbank Automotive & Smog. The service we received was amazing. I took my truck in at 930 am and 2 hours later I was called with the price and results of the diagnostics. By 330 that same day my truck was ready with a new ac condenser (fluid was leaking into the condenser). They did a great job explaining the problem, friendly employees, same day service and great price. I highly recommend this business!!!
Never bring your car here for anything. They just want to rip you off and aren’t helpful or friendly at all. Don’t waste your time! Would never recommend them to anyone due to the service I just received. I would give them 0 stars if I could.

Riverbank Auto (Moses and Anna) is absolutely the most honest mechanic I have ever dealt with, in my 53yrs of driving/owning a car. I have NEVER left there feeling like I was taken advantage of or over-billed. Every vehicle I have taken there over the years (and there have been many!) left all fixed or if there continued to be a problem, was immediately returned, fixed and no new bill. Plus, they're just super nice folks!! 😊
I highly recommend Riverbank Smog and Auto for any service our vehicle needs. It can be quite intimidating dealing with car issues, but these guys are great all the way around. I had my brakes done here and I was given fair prices and the work was done faster than any other local shop I have taken my vehicle. Their shop does just about any type of work your vehicle may need. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I was greeted immediately by their team upon arrival. I went to have my AC serviced as we enter the summer months. Upon testing my vehicle, I learned I would need much more work than a service. Anamaria was able to walk me through everything I needed step by step with thorough breakdowns for each piece.
The head mechanics Moises and Andrew were able to get all of the parts I needed within a half hour. Unlike most shops that want to seemingly keep your car as long as possible, Riverbank Auto & Smog had me out of there in no time.
My air conditioning has never blown colder, and the team could not have been more friendly. I will certainly be a lifelong returning customer to Riverbank Auto & Smog because they actually care about what it is they do!!!! FIVE STARS ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Called to get price on smog but told me i need to have my tags renewal paper or they wouldn't do the smog? Literally this is off california smog website " The smog technician can simply enter the required information, your vehicle's vehicle identification number (VIN) and license plate number, right into the smog machine." so idk why they are trying to be difficult?
New to the area only been living in Riverbank 2 weeks seen this location on google. Lady at the front was an absolute headache. Came in to get my A/C looked at and couldn’t seem to get any hint they actually wanted my business. After being question and basically called a liar by the Receptionist who also had one of the worst attitudes I’ve ever encountered in my days… I decided to leave and take my business elsewhere. She couldn’t accept that, even following me all the way to my car after she yelled inside the office as I walked away. Was very weird.
Went up the street to 2 Bros auto and got helped out right away no problem.
I take both my private and company vehicles here for service and repair and have done so for many years. I have always been treated fairly and never a repeat return for the same problem.
I called on this past Friday needing a transmission service for a large work truck and they got me in and out yesterday (Monday) and back to work today. No complaints here.
Complete waste of time.
Front dest spoke to us like we were children. Like we were stupid. And very rude all 3 times we were there to drop off & pick up. (Nothing was ever done to the vehicle so like I said a waste of time)
Also looked to be lazy mechanics who could run up your bill but not want to do work.
One of the biggest Challenges with moving to a new city is finding a place you can take your car to be serviced. Finding an honest mechanic shop is hard to find now days since everyone is trying to take advantage of the average customer who doesn’t know 1 thing about automotive repairs. I took my car in for a few issues and the customer service was beyond 10/10 great friendly staff and the mechanic there is very friendly and honest and really cares about the customers needs ! Highly recommended place !!
The owners and the employees are lazy took my vehicle in to get smog after waiting for 20 minutes they said they don't want to smog my vehicle cuz they didn't want to crawl underneath customer service is terrible and like I said employees are lazy do not waste your time an go here

Asked about getting a catback exhaust installed which was taken off and they just needed to bolt it on. They wanted 150 to put 2 bolts on.
Went back a second time to ask about caster arm install. And was simply told NO!! No reason to why i was being told no but all he said was no. Lol I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Took my car in to get the AC serviced, and once before. Both times the friendly folks there were thorough in their explanation and explained me through their process and what their service would entail. They helped me to make informed decisions and gave insight into what issues I was having, along with insight into remedies and solutions I could achieve on my end.
My issue was solved, and I would be happy to come by again if I have future car issues.
I called in before and they told me my ac would be from 60-100 to fix . I was very excited to get my ac fixed until the prices , they wanted to charge me $12-14 for one valve cores that costs lower than $5 at Walmart?!! although fixing a car ac with leaks aren’t cheap but 152.85 isn’t a priced i was going to pay for , cross landing does ac repaired for almost $80!?! I have spoken to 2 other master machinist and said valve goes from little to $5. they seemed to also be a bit harsh on me because I am a young girl who is learning little about cars but I know when a price is too high and how much a product cost , won’t come here again prices are high .
had money plus whatever it takes to fix my car , I took it here I have a 96 civic all stock , need to get repairs done for smog , he didn't take it because of supposably my rubber boot that holds my intake on the throttle body In place wasn't original, Im a machanic to went to U.T.I been working for on cars for 15 yrs that are dirty old new clean , this guy likes easy work for a lot of money - I wish I could upload a picture , if he's reading this. Get your hand dirty for once. Riverbank shops suck because there only 3 smog shops so they know they can get what they want .. If you want good deals go to modesto there's more competition there ..
This is honestly the best smog place I have ever been too! Very honest and humble people. I will never take my vehicle to any other place again! I have had a few bad experiences with smog shops but they were able to fix the major issue with my truck and smog it within an hour and I was on my way to the DMV!! Thank you so much for being some of the good people in the world working to help you rather than against you
