Warning if you have a small pickup and you expect to get paid by bringing your metal to Sims metal in Redwood City, it's not going to work. They no longer take small pickup trucks. But they do take your metal for free if you go there once they tell you we don't take small pickup trucks. But if you'd like to donate your metal, there's a place right over here, we would like to take the metal that you have but we just don't want to pay you for it anymore. Nice. Highly unrecommended
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Was in and out of there. Quite fast driving in a place like that here in Redwood City that he can take our scrap metal to come back with a check. Highly recommend it.

They buy metal products from companies, not really for the public. They take old scrape cars and truck and turn them into bit sized pieces for sale to metal manufacturers.
Do not go there for the pick up or drop of metal everywhere you gonna get your tire cut or damaged by the company law they have to change tire them self take care of it but they don't keep their promises very dishonest people overthere i paid to change my tire they said they gonna refund me but nothing just a talk if you go there you gonna spend your money for their damages i suggest not to go inside the scrap yard when you go there for a pick up tell them to bring the load outside the plant, very dishonest people they don't care about others than them selfs
I love this place is a very good facility to recycle any metal,
I being coming to this facility for over 9 year and as the years pass it gets better in there.
