The manager and staff here went SO far above and beyond when my car started breaking down on a road trip and we stopped here. They helped get my car working again and I cannot recommend this store enough, they truly were kind, honest and hard working people. Thank you so, so much.

I purchased a new battery for my car but didn’t feel comfortable installing it on my own. Even though I didn’t buy it at AutoZone, José took the time to install it for me and explain how the recycling process works. Awesome customer service!
Jose and his front desk staff were super helpful and worked hard to make sure I got the right battery for my Subaru and also took the time to install it for me. I really appreciate that as my neighborhood auto store.
I was having issues with my battery going dead every six or seven days. I called AAA battery service and they were of no use. I took my car to AutoZone on Grand Avenue. Within a half hour I had a new battery installed and my alternator checked. Good people good experience. Good service will return.
Val and the rest of management have really changed the atmosphere here. I’ve avoided this autozone for years but I went in to get some wiper blades and he and the rest of the guys there were SO nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. Actual customer service is rare nowadays and I’m happy to see they have really changed the whole experience here!

I just finished a 12hour shift at the local emergency department. I find out my battery is dead on my car. I show up, both me and staff are dog tired. But. They got me a new battery and installed it. I know it's how they do business to do so, but, as someone who at that point was just trying to stay awake. It was very much appreciated.
Everyone was very friendly and polite. I had an check engine warning light, and they did a engine scan and diagnosed the problem. Save me many dollars and time. Thank you all very much.

Staff were very kind and helpful on the phone and in person. They helped us turn in 13 batteries for in-store credit ($10 each). Love that they do that! Staff were incredibly helpful and offered carts to help us move all the heavy batteries. Will go back!

Today on June 13th 2024 at approximately 1:40pm I went into Autozone and was not greeted what so ever. I stood in line and the employee that did not even have a uniform or name tag and wearing a black hoodie like he’s at home gave me the finger to proceed to come to his register. i asked him to help me open my car key fob to change the battery if possible. He then gave me the the finger to wait and he asked his coworker which also didn’t have a uniform on she was wearing a grey shirt and grey shorts like she’s was just hanging out and no name tag also. The guy asked her “do you know where the tools are for this?” She said no I don’t know where it’s at. Mind you this is their job and they should know where the tools are to help customers in needs. You would think working at a place that requires hospitality and also knowing about vehicles since this is a store mainly for that, and these employees had no clue what they were doing. It was the most awful experience I encountered. Also, it was very unsanitary in there and the floor was dirty and there was trash every where. If this is the employees your company is hiring let me just tell you they make your company look very bad. I than went to orielys across the street and a total difference from my experience at auto zone. Now that’s where I will be going from now on. Maybe Autozone can learn from a place with real professionalism and a clean environment.
Ian at Autozone was so very helpful. Multiple times he helped me and went out of his way to check my battery and tail light. He also brought out some tools and helped to change my other tail light too. It was no easy task, it took taking apart the interior of my trunk and he put it back together perfectly. I went in yesterday 03/24, I was kindly greeted by one gentleman. The other employee his name was John was very rude. I was asking questions about a car part i needed and he kept rolling his eyes, acting very annoyed. I was very disappointed i ended up asking to get a different employee to assist me. He also stated hes been working there for 27 years after I asked him how he had this job for so long with that rude and ignorant customer service. What a disgrace, terrible employee. Cheers to the other employee who helped me. Will be going to oreilleys from now on.
By far one of the best auto parts store I’ve been to in a while. I went in to get my battery replaced and my check engine light read. I was helped by a young man who is a manger named Andrew. He was very knowledgeable about his work and very respectful. Thank you Andrew for all the needed help, I hope good things come your way young man.

First off I do lots of driving and I am constantly getting stuff for my cars to keep them on the road running as well as they can. This review is specifically geared towards Vanessa who help me today she actually got everything I needed without me having to hit the shelf for anything but one item she put in my back brake light that went out as I waited and purchased other items she was super kind super helpful super efficient above and beyond better than I even expected and top-notch customer service thanks again.
I cannot say enough how helpful Noel at the arroyo grande store is. He went above and beyond with making sure my battery got me back on the road. The year and make of my car is known for being super difficult and he was very patient making sure it was done properly. Thank you again Noel. You’re a rock!!!!!
I want to start by saying one of the ONLY reasons auto zone is getting 4 stars from me today is due to DAVID SILVA. He's one of the friendliest employees here. (And I've been in this area for 8 years now. I've gone to Auto zone probably a dozen times throughout that length of time)
He went above and beyond today with helping me change out my headlights.
I originally asked Vanessa the manager. I called over the phone to ask for help with them. I could tell by the conversation Vanessa and I were having that I wouldn't be getting any help from her today. When I came in to the store shortly after getting off the phone with her, she came out to look at my headlights and instantly told me that I would have to take it to a body shop where they would have to take off certain parts to get to the lights.
LUCKILY, David overheard me talking with the cashier about what I was trying to do and he instantly asked to take a look at my headlights lights.
After going out and looking at them he started in on what's seemed like a VERY EASY JOB. He had them changed out and done within less then probably 15-20 minutes.
So, with all that said... A BIG SHOUT OUT TO HARD WORKING PEOPLE LIKE DAVID WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND WHEN THEY DON'T HAVE TO.
Somebody, please give this man a pretty raise and the management position! It will keep your business strong and looking real good!
I cannot thank and appreciate Noel and the employees at Auto Zone enough. My car's engine light went on and the car was difficult to drive. They gave us a device to plug into the car so they could place it in their computer to diagnose the problem. They determined that something was wrong with the battery and Noel determined that it was just a loose screw or nut and went out of his way to tighten it. I was so impressed and thankful. They saved me lots of time, money and stress. Thank you Noel and fellow co-workers. They also helped me choose a product to clean my headlights. Friendly people who care about their job and are good at it! Excellent customer service!!!
I went to the AutoZone in Grover Beach, Ca on a Tuesday afternoon. I was given a welcoming greeting by Robert who patiently answered all my questions. He ordered the part that I needed, said it would be in on Thursday morning, and added "we can probably help you install the part". When I picked up the part on Thursday, Robert was not working that day, however, Terry gladly stepped up to install the part for me. He was very polite and professional. 10 minutes later, the new tail-light assembly was installed in working order and I was on my way. Thank you Robert and Terry for the great customer service !! I will definitely return to AutoZone in the future. Highly recommended.
I had another exceptional service experience at AutoZone this week (Feb 10 2020) . I needed a new battery for my truck. I called ahead - they had it in stock. I arrived and was helped immediately by Robert. Then, Nate installed the battery quickly and cleaned up the existing cables and area around the battery, all the while showing/telling me what he was doing and why. Efficient, quick, courteous, and professional service. I will be back again !!
My battery died and I needed a replacement. Good thing I had a warranty on it. It's awesome, because all of their locations computers are linked. I went in, told him my name a phone number, he grabbed the battery, took it out to my car, and even put it in for me. The customer service was amazing!
As one does, I came in for windshield wipers in the rain. Robert (I believe) was super friendly and helpful, not only finding the right blades for the best price, but also installing them for me despite the rain. He also showed me a sale on another item I was purchasing. Great service!
