Just before we had hung up you had told me that my insurance was not covering the call and that I was going to have to pay for it. I asked you to let me call my insurance and then I would call you back. Less than a minute after we hung up you canceled the call... I checked and I am definitely in your area... I guess you just got caught. Good luck with all your shady business
My kid got into an accident on Miramar Rd on a Friday, made the mistake of calling the closest tow company. They charged us $300 for a 4 mile tow. They are closed on the weekend, so you have to choose between $120 weekend pick up or $60/day storage Picked it up 1st thing Monday. Charged us $260 storage plus $70 lien fee. Total for a 4 mile tow $630.00
This place is mire than just a tow yard they offer services like window tinting car wraps I even bought a scooter from there and looking to get a vehicle rom them as well. Eric there is top notch in my book!
I needed my project car towed from my old place to my new place. I gave Eastgate a call and explained my situation. They had a tow truck out to me in less than an hour and were able to get my car safely into my new garage.
I cannot say enough about this company, and specifically ERIC KERTES as a tow truck driver/ mechanic. It is rare that a driver will show up and make sure that you are not charged a lot of money and waste time on a tow if it is a more simple fix. I thought i needed a short tow down the street, when it was a simple battery connection issue, and he was able to help with that as well, and get me hooked up with a battery!!! Eric encouraged me to learn about vehicles, so i don't get taken advantage of by bullies at auto shops, and I could not be more grateful. Eric took obvious pride in his work, in the cleanliness of his tools and truck (even his pen and clipboard) and he made u feel at ease, and taken care of....as though he had been an expert in his field...and to be honest, as a woman, not getting CREEPED OUT or creeped on, is a HUGE PLUS. Eric was so respectful, and I dont ever want to be towed by anyone else. After my first experience I have sent many people your way, Eastgate, and i hope you all know what a courteous professional and kind GEM you all have in Eric Kertes.!! He has also done a tow for my brother and was awesome then as well. excellent customer service which is so important

It is very appropriate to TIP A TOW TRUCK DRIVER.
A cousin explained how they are paid, and its worse than the restaurant industry....which is sad, considering their work is often very dangerous. (Many people are aware and tip them, but most just don't know better, so I am doing my part in getting it out there....Like tipping the restaurant to-go server that prepares your to go order. Should tip them too. And anyone who assists you with luggage, or groceries,.....)

If i could this a -5 review i would. They illegally impounded my car, NEVER notified me like they ARE LEGALLY supposed to do, they ILLEGALLY SOLD MY CAR ALSO WITHOUT LEGALLY GIVING ME NOTICE OR TIME TO GET MY PERSONAL BELONGINGS BACK!!!!!!!!!! Stay tuned.....let's see what my lawyer thinks about this. Also horrible customer service with sarcastic replies when questioned due to NOT being NOTIFIED.
They must have too much work to handle because the lady who answered the phone did not seem like she wanted to help me.

Eastgate picked up my car but didn't deliver it and it became lost for two days. They had no idea where it was, then all of sudden it was at the destination. When I asked where it has been for those two days, the guy from dispatch said it was in the parking lot next to the destination, but I was there to look for it the day before it arrived thinking that's what happened and didn't find it anywhere. I don't understand how this could have happened on a four mile tow.
8.28.2018, Eastgate Towing rocks!!! Based on my experience last week I highly recommend Eastgate Towing. One of my cars stopped working and needed to be towed from the San Diego Community College. My car was covered for a "Free" towing from Toyota because it's new. Unfortunately, Toyota "Free" towing left me stranded. When I called the Toyota towing service asking when they would show up they refused to give me a time when they would show up. I immediately cancelled Toyota's badly flawed towing service and called my insurance company USAA. USAA offers great roadside service and towing. Less than twenty (20) minutes after calling USAA requesting a tow "Eastgate Towing" showed up. I met Eric, tow truck driver who was friendly and quick. Eric towed my car to the local Toyota dealer in record time. I highly recommend Eastgate Towing!
After accepting the tow call from USAA roadside assistance they refused to take me to the destination because the driver did not want to sit in traffic. After waiting over an hour for them to show up when they said they were a few minutes away.
CRIMINALS and THIEVES!!! AVOID! My vehicle got towed and placed in their yard. I go to retrieve my vehicle from them, a few of my belongings some how end up missing. I speak with the "owner" SAM and he starts to make jokes about the situation. Then proceeds to yell and get angry about me even thinking it could have been him and his drivers. DO NOT use this company if you want any kind of tow service. THIEVES, LIARS, LOW LIVES!
The driver was more helpful than the aholes at Jimmy Johnson's Kearny Mesa Cheverolet who would not let me replace a battery that I purchased from them on their property. The driver did not leave me stranded despite it cutting into his time and helped me get through it. I am more than greatful for the driver's help.
Worst place for your car to be towed to. Employees are unprofessional and unfriendly. They seemed to be very unhappy and miserable. It adds insult to injury when you aren't treated like a customer and instead you ate treated like a dollar sign.
mike was helpful and courteous he send one of his drivers to tow my car from freeway to a repair shop of my choice my driver eric keretes was very nice and friendly
These guys were great, Mike was super helpful and responsive to our needs.
My employee had a tire blowout in one of our company trucks on the side of the 805 south freeway, these guys made sure he was safe, and got him towed to the nearest Discount Tire, and taken care of.

I was in a parking lot in Miramar and noticed a man siting in one of their trucks, his tire was noticeably low on air, so as a courtesy I knocked on his window to let him know his tire was going flat, he then got out and started yelling at me, asking who I was and telling me it is not my job to inform him! So much for trying to be nice, thing is, I work at an auto shop and use towing companies all the time, we will never use this company!!!
Haven't had need to use this company yet, but on 4/28/16 around 2:20 PM, I was driving in the I-15 N going 80 mph(the flow of traffic), when I noticed 1 of their tow trucks behind me, weaving in and out of traffic much faster than I was going. The driver immediately began to ride my ass. Once they were able to change lanes, they again started driving erratically, speeding off through traffic again. I would not want my vehicle to be transported by these people. The driver obviously doesn't get that how they drive in a vehicle with their companies info all over might affect how people perceive them.
