Called in for a part, I was told a inventory check is necessary and i would get a call back. I DID get a call back, for reals!!! The man I spoke to did call me back later with the inventory information, not a computer call back but the same person I had spoken to earlier! I went down and picked up my parts, same day. Now that is excellent customer service!

The people here are top notch and honest. They installed a rebuilt transmission in my 2000 GMC 1500. After 7000 miles and a few months past the warranty period the transmission failed. We called and spoke with Frank he was very nice and said to bring it back in he wants to be sure his customers are happy. After inspecting the truck he confirmed the transmission was indeed bad and replaced it it with us only having to pay for the labor. I could no ask for anything more fair. It is nice to see that there are still honest shops around. Frank thank you and your team for the help.
Went in to see if they had some hoses that were missing from my truck but didn’t know what exactly they connected to to describe over the phone. A gentleman took me back to the same truck I have and let me point out all the ones I needed and removed them right then and there. They were super nice and REASONABLE when it came to pricing. Will definitely be back if/when I need any parts again.

That I’m planning to come from Burbank. I told them please make sure that everything is there before I come. I ended up driving there for three hours and once I got there they told me “sorry it does not have the motor”. That is not professional for a business that it’s been Around for 50 years. I would not recommend this place at all.
Nice and friendly business. Took my son's car to A & B for a new head gasket about 10 months ago. 10 months in and noticed car was producing white smoke and found water in engine oil. Warranty was only for 90 days. Per A & B probably head gasket they installed failed, they said there was hydrocarbon in coolant. A & B said it probably just needs a new engine and it might be more money than we want to spend to fix.
Well at least we got 10 months out of the car. I wish we would have found out the problem while it was under 90 day warranty. Looking back, should have asked and paid for a 1 year warranty. Life is tough, but what do you do. Good luck in your car endeavors...
I must have called 20 junkyard/used car parts shops, and this shop called me back with a truck part I needed for an old truck. I didn't haggle but I suppose I could have because I think their price was reasonable enough. I hope not to need another repair, but if I do, I'll def call them first. Nice guys
This place is a diamond and the rough, nice and local here in San Diego every time I have a hard time finding a part they have been able to either supply the part or tell me who's got it so I can get it for my vehicle. They have saved the day at least four different occasions. I like this place !
Excellent place especially for repairs and parts for older trucks cars and vans. AJ is a stand up, honest guy that cares about helping the customer. They were able to replace a drive shaft on a old van for me which was a difficult part to source. This place is a gem. Thank you!
I've been coming here for years to see Andy and now A.J. It is always a pleasant experience to get the parts I need. Anything from a cup of coffee to a full suspension lift. They are always busy so plan on spending some enjoyable time
These guys are on point!!! If you have a problem with them, then its probably you. I sat in there waiting room for a few hours and watched them work. Always on the move, no one sitting around unless on break. Great deals and if something unforeseen turns up, they inform you and give an option instead of forcing the part at you. Prices are affordable and they honor their guarenty. If they are short with you on the phone or brash, its because there is 10 other people on hold and they are going as fast as possible to service your request.
I recomend these guys to anybody and to all service memebers.
Awesome place
I was recently out in San Diego and the differential on my Jeep Grand Cherokee went bad. Dan and Ron (?) at A&B were friendly and helpful. They had the differential I needed in stock. They took the time to inspect what they had and provide me with the best one. Good folks, and I would absolutely use them again.
We selected A&B as our repair shop to rebuild the rear differential in our 2005 Dodge Ram. After getting quotes from all over the county theirs was bar far the most reasonable. They came and picked the truck up for a small towing fee. The full rebuild only took a day. When I went into pay it was uniquely comforting. I got the feeling that they were true mechanics and weren't in the business of wheeling and dealing people. I felt like the guys there were honest hard working men and I was glad they worked on my truck. I highly recommend this place for repair needs.
These guys are great. They have almost everything you need. I recently spent a little over a $1000 there on a rebuilt transmission and a camper shell for pick up truck. They even threw in some stuff for free including delivery. Friendly, and knowledgeable staff from the counter to the yard guys and the delivery men.
They are a full service salvage yard. I have been using them for years.
Very helpful crew. I bought a rebuilt transmission for my truck. They have a small selection of trucks for parts and they pull the parts for you, so the prices are a bit higher than a yard where you pull your own parts, but their service is top notch. They gave me a great deal on other parts I needed, and took the time to answer my questions. I really appreciate all of their help. I highly recommend this place.
Chris was helpful on the phone when I called, and when I came to buy the part he was friendly and took a moment to show me how to install it. Their price was reasonable, and he knocked a bit off the price he quoted on the phone for a minor defect he noticed when I bought it. Friendly, helpful, reasonably priced, and honest- what else could you want in a salvage yard? Good place!
