Complete nightmare dealing with Copart and USAA Insurance. We told them we decided to keep the car and pay out of pocket for the repairs and for USAA to close the claim. Copart then sends an email saying they're going to pick up my vehicle and issue payment for the title. We never said we wanted to sell them the vehicle or wanted to accept payment on the claim. This company is shady and will tell you your car is totaled then try to buy your car from you for cheap then repair it and sell it for triple what they paid you for it. Avoid this company at all costs.

Scam. Save your money. They take in fees whatever you would have made selling the car. A car you get for $400 will cost you $2000. Not to mention the scam with getting the car out.

This is the worst experience my brother and I have had. We visited this place about a 3 ago and were denied entry by a staff member who claimed we needed to have “business” there to be allowed in. That didn’t sit right with us, so we did our own research—and found out that guests are actually allowed to walk in without any special requirements. As a combat veteran, I found the treatment we received deeply disrespectful and unwelcoming. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this place to anyone in our community. Their attitude and misinformation are unacceptable.

This company is a bunch of crooks. Charged me $100 for a membership fee in 2024. I disputed and thought it was cancelled.Then another $100 this year. You can't cancel on this website. Don't support this business.

Had them come pick up a car. Off the bat dude tried to ripp us off. When they try saying ok your free to go don't go until they pay you.and had the nerve to lie and say we wanted them to take it for free. Not true. So just becarful when doing business with these guys they will try and pull a fast one.

Only one person to help and we are in the line 30 minute and they make me feel they are broke they don’t have money to hire more people and they charge $700 dollar for each car and horrible service

Uhm so I sold a car to them over a year ago in august. I thought all was well when they gave me my check I did mobile deposit. Fast forwards months I’m seeing that the check declined.. and called them & asked why, turns out they didn’t have all the forms on their end. Instead of contacting me, they just canceled the check. I’ve still been trying to contact them since! They keep sending me to third parties overs the phone. I want my money back

I’ve had several frustrating experiences with Copart. Many of the vehicles I’ve purchased through their auctions have hidden damage that wasn’t clearly disclosed, resulting in unexpected repair costs. On top of that, their service is horrible. Customer service is unresponsive and unhelpful when it comes to resolving these issues. I expect better transparency and support from a company in this industry. If you’re considering buying from Copart, be prepared for hidden problems and poor service. Buyer beware!

All i can say that you guys are thieves, they took my totaled vehicle without even my permission(without documents while i wanted to retain the vehicle, after many complaints and issues they released my vehicle and dropped it off in my house but they stolen the seat cover and they destroyed the original seats for the vehicle while they cut the airbag wire while i did not have any issues in the airbag system not even deployed, also they scratched the whole vehicle interior…. dont buy cars they are straight Thieves

A Nightmare Experience at Copart San Diego I wish I could give Copart San Diego zero stars. My experience here was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I arrived, I was met with an incredibly rude staff who seemed to have no interest in helping customers. It was as if they were doing me a favor just by acknowledging my presence. Customer service should be a priority, but that clearly isn’t the case here. As for the vehicles, the hidden damages were beyond unacceptable. I inspected several cars, and it was alarming how many had undisclosed issues. I felt like I was playing a game of roulette, not knowing what kind of problems I might uncover after purchasing. It’s clear that transparency is not a value they uphold. I left feeling duped and frustrated, wishing I had done more research before wasting my time. The buyer fees are absolutely outrageous! I was shocked at how quickly the costs added up, leaving me with a fraction of what I thought I’d be spending. It feels like they’re intentionally obfuscating the total price to lure you in with low auction bids, only to hit you with exorbitant fees at the end. It’s a predatory practice that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I genuinely don’t understand why people continue to buy from this place. The combination of poor customer service, hidden vehicle damages, and ridiculous fees makes it a terrible choice for anyone looking to purchase a car. This location is a disaster and, in my opinion, should be shut down. There are so many other options out there that treat customers with respect and honesty. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of Copart San Diego!

After I was hit by someone driving through a red light in a car accident Farmers insurance took full responsibility and sent my car to this location without my consent. They stole ALL of my car's documentation, ALL of my power tools and my WiFi router from my school. This place is run by criminals. Do not consent to have your car towed to this yard under any circumstance.

I sold them and i keep calling about the check they said they mail. Each call they tell me something differant. Last call I would get it in a few days. I never did and today I have been on hold well they try to figure it out. I don't really understand what is going on but I would AVOID this company.

I had a terrible experience with Copart San Diego. I attempted to sell my car through them, but it didn't sell. The customer service at the front desk was appalling—the representative was incredibly rude. Adding to the frustration, they required exact change to pay fees, with no ATM available. It's unacceptable that they lack basic conveniences. I will not be engaging with these unprofessional individuals again.

This place has made a lot of great improvements over the last couple of years. You can see that this managers here are trying to improve this Copart. The waits are pretty long though as its insanely busy here.

Best customer service I have ever experienced at a Copart location. Employees are extremely helpful and would multitask just to have everything done and ready for you. Im an owner of 2 dealerships and have worked with many Copart locations but non have ever given me the experience I had at Copart San Diego

I’m sorry to say this but this is the worst Copart locations ever. You guys have to do a better job on training and ensuring your employees are knowledgeable in their line of work. Some of them don’t have a clue of what they’re talking about. This was my first experience with Copart in San Diego and it was a complete waste of time and money.

they have the worst service. they lost my title and I HAD TO pay for a replacement. 2 months ago ,so far i keep calling and the branch manager does not call back (voice mail only) ,when the desk people answer they tell you we cannot do anything, I called the DMV they said its a maximum of 2 days when we issue titles . the buyer is trying to sue me for a COPART mistake i will never buy a car from this branch

Horrible service. After delivering my vehicle to the WRONG location and giving me false information. My car stay abandoned on a random street for 2 weeks. In that time, they told me that they had not delivered my vehicle, WHEN IT WAS ABANDONED. The "Manager" Sylvia has horrible customer service. She gave me different ETA's and at the end she would Forward all of my calls. Horrible service!

Hands down the worst Copart location, we been purchasing vehicles from copart many years , and these locations is the worst , starting with the management, with and attitude, followed by the secretary, only one secretary helping, with bad customer service, and then the loaders, the worst attitude, if you look in the parking lot , you see people working on cars and putting fake license plates on their cars on order save the tow truck fees, management don’t say anything , long wait, remember a happy customer pays your check

The worst Copart ever. The que says 30min and it’s keep going up and inside they all speak Spanish and let them just skip the que and when even it’s your turn you gotta be in the line again as you walked in without que.

Terrible there check in system is not user friendly. If your disabled there is no signage or seats , against the California law. I'm in the lobby calling as I am to wait 119 minutes. Very understaffed. At last a very nice polite woman called me to counter and was very good at getting me back out the. I have two knee replacements was outside a half hour, people were sitting on the ground waiting. Cowart needs to provide benches for there customers to sit in as there wait time are also unacceptable. Shame on your operations manager.

I came in at 9:30 to pay for one of the vehicles that I have purchased. As I am 2 hours in the parking lot waiting, suddenly I see a group of 5 or 6 employees outside waiting for more employees to go to lunch. While my phone tells me I need 80 more minutes for my turn. I understand employees need a lunch hour, but I would like to suggest that they do it one at a time so that way there are employees working and people don’t have to wait as long. Another suggestion would be having more employees in the front desk helping people in line that have simple things such as paying or cars, picking up papers or little things that are fast and simple and don’t require 3 hours wait. I have bought so many cars from here and I’ve spent a good amount of money here. I would still love to do more business at this facility but I kindly ask to work on these issues to avoid customer frustration.

Just sharing so nobody is as frustrated as I was. When signing in online to be helped it might say 7 minute wait to be called. Very wrong, I was helped almost 45 later. With only 2 people at front desk...with several, several workers at their desk. Hopefully facility manager can pay more attention to customer service.

Came here on Tuesday with a check to just pay for a vehicle that was purchased at a different branch. They told me to scan and get in a virtual line. Ok, 9.30am scanned, 22 people in front, estimated 52 min wait... ok, I go get coffee, check in 30 min and now shows 62 min and still 22 people. Ok, can't wait so I leave to work, but stay in virtual line... so at 3.30 pm its my turn. I'm sorry , but to just pay for the lot it takes 5 minutes and should not take this long. Corporate management, please make a change here, this is very unprofessional.

Place where you can find mainly totalled vheicles. This lot is in San Diego close to the border. It is easy to notice from the car. In the front they have free parking spot for customers. If you want to see the car you need to have Copart account. Waiting time to be escorted to the lot around 50-60 minutes. Overall be prepared to spend around 2 hours at least. Staff is friendly and does his/her best to help.

Horrible service. Missed one appointment and then showed up the next day LATE! Acted like it didn't matter to them...basically, they didn't care if they were causing me or USAA any issues. Terrible customer service all around. The worst group I have ever had to use. USAA should drop these guys and never use them for any claim services!!!! Would give them a negative 5 star if I could

Forklift operators, don't stop to get the gate pass. They just blow their horn at the exit door, and don't even stop for paper work. Waited for more than 30 min on a slow Friday morning. Very poor service, ridiculous! After my complaint to main office, a manager came out in a forklift to assist, that was a better service.
