Love that they keep it moving and it’s a ‘no fuss, no muss’ kinda place. No small chit chat, separate your bottles/cans, and whatever else you got, they weigh it, give you your voucher, then they cash it out right there. No more having to take it to the grocery store and waiting in line for $5-$10 bucks (depending on how much you have to recycle). Only bummer thing is the parking lot. (It’s small and shared with another business) Still worth it though.
Ever since I work in Poway these guys are my go-to. Such nice and polite gents. Always helping and it’s super fast service. This country needs more workers like these folks!
The workers are nice helpfully and hard workers. Good crew always polite and happy and helps without even being asked. I couldn't say enough good things about their workers. They are the best around. Thank you poway crew.
This place was solid up until today maybe just certain workers but dont bring your wine boxes/cartons here if you go your suppose to get 25 cents per one they ring it up as something else and set aside for them selves

They have you drop the plastic bottles in one of those disgusting grey buckets and then pretend to weigh them and give you half of what the bottles are worth and then when I told them there were 75 plastic ones they paid me for the 75 but did not add the glass and aluminum cans that were in the original slip
I realized they were truly scammers when I went to the counter and guess what that the biggest con’s picture at the counter on a $2 bill. I realized these are the folks at the four corners by Pomerado road and they will scam you of any possible loose change. Avoid them unless you don’t have an alternate place to recycle.
Come here about every other month and the guys who work here are great; their redemption values are good too.
They're generally very fast BUT there are a few things to note...
The parking lot is microscopic and it can be nearly impossible to maneuver around when it's busy.
(There's only about 4 spaces available).
This place fills up fast and it's not uncommon to find a line of cars waiting to get in.
Lastly, you'll need to load all recyclables into plastic trash cans that they provide.
These cans are really abused and are quite difficult to separate, but don't hesitate to ask for help with them.
They also recycle steel, small appliances, etc. but you won't get any money from it.
Despite any short comings about recycling here, I recommend giving this place a try.
It’s a bit intimidating coming here. You have all walks of life and as a first timer, I had no idea what to do because there are no instructions. I just observed and followed others. For the most part, people seem to be in a rush and everyone was working so fast.
The first thing you want to do is to get a close parking spot and reverse your car in. Find a trash bin to bring to your car and dump all your recyclables in the bin.
Tips:
-make sure your aluminum, glass and plastic are separated. It’ll save time.
-reverse park into the parking stalls
-go grab an empty trash can
-poor your recyclables into the bin
-stand in line, they pour the items in your trash bin into a wire bin, then weigh it, give you a receipt and you redeem it at the window for cash
-bring and wear disposable gloves because the trash bins and recyclables are sticky
-don’t wear your best clothes or shoes. Even the floors are sticky.
*You must have your items in the trash bin when you’re in line. Otherwise you’ll be kicked of line and go to the back. This happened to me because they were out of trash bins. I had to wait for an empty one from someone else.
There are other items on the list to recycle. I was able to get $38 with 3 full trash bags of cans, bottles and glass.
Thought we'd try a new/different place to recycle our glass and plastic bottles and cans so I found this one in Poway. It's located near the Best Western, car maintenance places and not far from Lowe's.
We pulled up in the car in one of several parking spaces. Having never been there before, we weren't sure how it went exactly, (and the guy wasn't about to tell us) but we gathered we had to 'self serve' and pour each of our recycling categories into different (sticky) bins.
The guy comes and takes your bin, goes inside and I assume weighs them. You then go to the kiosk window, get a receipt and your cash.
The guy doesn't say much, so don't expect much.
Glad to have the option in the area.
Do not bring scrap metal here, they will give you a third of the rate that others will. They do not adhere to CA law for scrap metal over 20$. Outside of cans, they are looking to scam you and steal from you. Only take bottles and cans to this place.
I was selling my bottles and cans at this place at around 2:50 pm and a young lady came in with her stuff right as I was coming in. She was trying to sort her own stuff out and a man by the name “Diego” tried to pull her can from her in a real rude manner. She told him that the recyclables were mixed up and he rudely turned around and told her that doesn’t matter. I understand that they want to go home on time and that we got there with about ten minutes left before closing but he should of never been rude to this young lady. I had been here before but this will be the last time that I ever do business at this place.
Been going here for the past 5 years and they have always been helpful and kind. I unknowingly left my drivers license there and they were even kind enough to swing it by my home.
So far the experience was very good. Quick service. Accepts almost everything but pays only for the crv products. Easy place to recycle cardboards etc.
Best recycling place in all of San Diego county!!! The dudes who work here are friendly and helpful!!! They are the ones who really make this the best place to do your recycling!!!

Fast and friendly staff. If you come prepared with your materials separated they appreciate you being quick. Payment for materials is done by weight, not by piece count so if you're looking for every single $.05 CRV you might be disappointed. Parking lot is small, you can park on the street with the other business parking. They will take household appliances for a flat rate.
This was my second visit to Quality Recycling in the last 6 months. The first time I recycled an window A/C unit and a water heater, and this time a couple boxes of assorted metals, which I didn't even want the money for, as it was so small a transaction. People there are super nice and very quick!
My first time to use this recycling center, ‘was impressed with the speed of processing time. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Parking might be tight because of the other businesses nearby, other than that, I recommend this center who lives in Poway, Rancho Penasquitios, Mira Mesa, RB. Location is very easy to find.
Wow, the staff was super fast and efficient today! I can't say that's always been my experience. Seems like they had additional employees compared to the last time I dropped off material. Keep up the great customer service! P.S. they have a coupon online.
Got some epic cash! Don't show up just before closing, they'll shut their doors on you. Saw a bunch of people trying to cash in their cans a minute before closing and were denied.

count before I leave home, shorted us 2 @$.10 each, paid us for small bottles instead of large, went back to guy that checked them in and he told the cashier he gave the wrong amount, they corrected it on the spot for me. My GF didn;t understand what took place as I told her to expect $7.50, (50 cans and 50 24oz or larger bottles) gave her $5.10 which did not compute at all but corrected it with the exception of the 48 count instead of the 50 I pre-counted
Horrible service. Really rude behavior from the workers there! You don'thave to be a jerk. "What do you want? Geez, how many bags you have?! Fine, hurry up!" I wouldn't even want to come back here with that kind of work attitude. Leave your crankiness at home!
Fast friendly I had two big black bags full of bottles and cans in other bag so I don't need to sort out I was in and out in 5 mins and made 20 bucks and helped recycle. Awesome place I went on Tuesday at 12 not busy . By mechanic shop a little hard to see .
This place is awesome! Super fast and friendly service. Went on a busy Saturday, parking lot is tight but people are always leaving, so quick to get a parking space. Highly recommend.
Amazing, friendly and fast service. I usually spend about 10 minutes from arrival to cash in hand compared to other recycling stations with well over an hour wait. These guys are professional and efficient. They not only recycles CRV, they also do other recycling as well. If you live nearby, I would definitely use them as main recycling center.

People bring in truck loads of bottles and cans and are processed very quickly. Love this place.
Hate going here. First time I felt it was great. Later realized they smile while they take all the larger CVS bottles (Arizona Tea, large water bottles, etc) and throw them in a separate bin, NEVER to be counted in. I DON'T TRUST THEM. When questioned about it, they say they aren't refundable. When challenged, they gave me credit for 5 of them when I had at least 25...I wonder what they figure the weights are on all the other stuff...DON'T TRUST THEM!
