My older Honda Pilot wouldnt start because capacitor clear outs erased all security programming, meaning the car could not validate the key so the motor wouldnt turn over. I was thinking about towing it to the dealer but thought Ron could handle it and he did. Thanks so much Ron and to everyone at Greg's Auto Helix!!!

I paid $195 for diagnostics!! But they made may car worse and the mechanic just drove my car around the block! I changed the battery 2days before taking my car to Greg’s there was rat droppings I called Greg’s today to ask if rat could have caused any issues the lady didn’t even want to ask the tech or the mechanic?? so I literally paid them $195 to make my car worse and drive it around the block what a joke!! What a shame this place went down hill! Maybe the El Cajon one is better idk!

We have been taking our vehicles to Greg's for years and have always received great service for general repairs! I would have given them a five star review this time except the problem I was having with my car will require a chevy dealership to repair. I will say they went over and above to get to that diagnosis, they have a great team!

had a rear end put in my son's Caddie to the tune of almost 7k. In 5 months or less the axel seal and diff cover were leaking and Greg's Auto would not warranty the work. My vehicles will never come here again.

The team at Gregs auto continues to carry the legacy of caring first and charging later. The team handled my complicated request like I was family. Even though more pushy and sensitive clients were ahead of me, they communicated the issues with care and resolved my most pressing problems without objections or upsell. Trust is a hard thing to acquire, but easy to loose. The folks at Greg's understand that and guard what they have dilegently.

Greg’s Helix Auto Service was less than 1/2 the cost of Toyota Dealerships to replace all lug nuts on my 2015 Toyota Avalon, $30 cheaper for complete alignment and way cheaper for window wipers! They were efficient, honest, friendly, reliable and conveniently located! We have used them for services on our cars in the past and will use them again.

I live right up the street from this shop. They are not only conveniently located but come with “a highly recommended reputation.”I received my car back quickly, the price was reasonable, (much better than expected) I definitely will be returning. They repaired my old ford flex and my newer Range Rover. Prices are fair. I will be going back when needed.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was driving to an early morning meeting in El Cajon and was just coming down Forte when the tire on my old work truck blew out. I posted into Greg's and park there and had a spare underneath and was going to work on changing the tire myself. I knew I could do it but of course I was running late and didn't have the best work clothes on. The manager said they needed my truck move because customers were coming in and I was able to pull it to the side. While I started working on it Greg's Automotive was kind enough to bring a check out and one of his technicians assisted taking the tire off and putting it on so I could get out of their parking lot and on the way to my meeting. Thanks so much Greg's for your kind help!

I took my daughter’s car to check why is it leaking oil, they charged me $230 and they told me we don’t know where is it coming from. This is not the problem, they said they change the battery, when I went to start the car the car was dead. The mechanic came out very rude asking questions, not to mention the owners wife was also rude. They said they changed the brake lights but they never did, the warning light still active in the dashboard. And also was some damage to the car they said they didn’t do. Never again will I take to these people. I don’t recommend to anyone and calling AAA to report them.

They took care of my back breaks in one day and I felt they were honest and respectful of me and my car! I will go back for any other mechanical issues I have. I also believe they are very fairly priced and even gave me a AAA discount!

I brought my Jeep in for an oil leak. I have had to bring it back 3 times to try to get the issue resolved. I picked up my car and the technician left grease hand prints and grease on the floor mats.This is a follow up post. My Jeep is leaking oil again. I have given them 3 chances to fix this. It’s time to take it somewhere else. I’m going to ask for a refund on the cost of the parts and labor for replacing the seals. I will update this post with what they say.

I came to Greg’s to have periodic maintenance for my 2012 Mercedes. Received a highly comprehensive inspection, inspection report, oil change and fluid top off. I was also advised of the need of a brake fluid change. I have used Greg’s for over 15 years now, & have always been happy. Everyone there is always helpful and very courteous (the pricing was great, too). I have two other cars and will continue to take them to Greg’s. THANK YOU!

Everyone from the time I walked in until the day I picked up the car were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Geo spent a lot of time over the phone explaining the reason and the codes for why our check Engine light was on and what would be needed to fix it.

Needed a new mechanic for my Mitsubishi, found Greg's through a search of an AAA shop. Super easy to schedule an appointment, easy drop off night before appointment, very friendly service manager, clear communication, up front pricing. I knew that I needed a lot done (brakes, rotors, other maintenance) and they were able to get it all done same day. They also honor the AAA discount, which is a nice courtesy. Very satisfied, my car is also much happier. Will be back! Highly recommend!

My old '95 Chevy Van needed a new starter and not only were they able to find one, they had it repaired by noon at a very reasonable price plus AAA discount. My car needs to last as long as I do so I am counting on them to make that happen. That's my shop for the duration!! Pleasant and easy to work with

Greg’s is the only mechanic I can take my vehicles to without having my guard up. They are very accommodating and always go above and behind to fix problems while keeping budget in mind. Whenever I need them,they are there. It feels more like asking my uncle for help than trying to negotiate with a business. I appreciate their transparency and they always have great attitudes during what is usually a stressful situation for me. They have my loyalty without question!

Greg’s Automotive Service Helix serviced my Prius as they have before. I am always happy to walk in their place of business. Always treated like a Queen (everyone else is too) and given all the attention needed. They are so friendly, professional and caring. They are so honest and fair that I look forward to the car service visit each time.

I live in WA and my mama lives in La Mesa. She has had so many issues with finding great, reliable, thorough, timely, honest and reasonable maintenance and repair places for all sorts of things. Fortunately, she happened upon this amazing shop and I am beyond grateful she did. Thank you for being there for my mama who is on a fixed income so keeping costs low while getting supreme service is a huge bonus. It is so refreshing to know she isn't taken advantage of and cared for. Thank you from a concerned a grateful daughter!!!

My car overheated on a Sunday near Greg’s location so I pulled into the location. I had heard only good things about Greg’s so felt confident in leaving my car there, even though they didn’t open until Monday. I left my keys and a note explaining the situation. I received a call Monday morning stating that they would contact me back advising me of the cost. I am extremely happy with my interaction with them and the reasonable cost to repair my car. They are going to be my go to place from here on.

The front desk service girl was awesome (Kate? Katie?). Very bubbly and attentive. She even recommended the donut shop next door while I wait, which was worth it and then gave me directions on how to get to my next destination! You don't get customer service like that anymore. My car was taken in right away and I was waiting less than 30 minutes for an oil change -- quicker and much nicer than the Jiffy Lube I usually go to. The mechanic was quiet but very professional and very nice. I'll be back and send everyone else here! Fabulous customer service, quick work. Easy to get to, plenty of parking.
