Service here was phenomenal! Fernando is such a wonderful person. He changed my battery and gave me some advice about my vehicle. He was so pleasant, kind and friendly. I was fretting about having to buy a battery and he made my visit so nice.

Amazing staff, have purchased multiple batteries of all kinds here, from truck batteries, to batteries for my lift. Every question I had was answered and they helped me pick the right battery for the application. I recommend them to everyone I know, the quality of the batteries is top notch, have not had an issue.

I stopped in to buy a battery. I didn't know that they could also install it. I was told it was now too late and after the time that they could install it. Another associate then entered the room. The person helping me asked if they might have time to install it. That man agreed and he had it installed in less than 15 minutes. He said he also used to own a Honda Element and was very familiar with them. While installing, he checked some other electrical things on my vehicle and said they were all performing well. I was so impressed with the level of customer service that was provided to me that day. Thank you so much!

The place was super friendly! In and out within 10m. The battery was for my 79 yr. Mom. They treated her with respect and kindness. I had been there before and felt the same then. Higher quality batteries as well than part stores. Highly recommend.

They let me borrow tools and helped me install it in the parking lot. I had charged my old battery enough to get there and had my toddler with me. I had already gotten stranded due to my dead/dying battery twice and it was right before Christmas so I was worried about trying to drive home and do it there. They were great and cheerful. I’ve been buying various vehicle batteries from them for several years now. You can always run all over town to find something cheaper, but here you pull up, they have a quality battery that you need (I repeat QUALITY), you can get it installed and you are on your way. Excellent.

Incredible service and I didn’t even purchase anything. I have so much respect for this business - Ferny is such an honest man. When our battery died, we took it to Interstate and instead of just taking our money, Ferny recommended we first call the dealership to see if we could get it replace for free (we had just bought the car three months ago). He coached us on exactly what to say, and low and behold, the dealership agreed to replace it for free. Truly blown away by this experience and highly recommend! I drive a Ford F-250 7.3 diesel and it needs full power to starter. I replace my batteries with Interstate Batteries on January 2020. They did a great job on the install and I was very pleased. I was having problems starting my truck and took it in to have the batteries replaced in Upland California at a Interstate Factory Store. I had nothing but problems and had to talk with the manager in order for them to replace one of them. I asked him to replace both of them and they refused to do so. I had my truck in for some repairs and he told me the second battery was bad and returned it to Interstate in La Mesa and they change it out for me at no problem. They also did the install. They did a fantastic job and I highly recommend this locations because we all know not all Interstate Battery companies are equal. Hands off to the crew at the La Mesa location and I highly recommend this facility. Thanks again guys. Cheers

Customer oriented service professionals and I've always had a positive results whenever purchasing my car batteries here. Due to covid, all business is handled from the large roll-up door facing their parking area in the back of the building. For a small fee they can install the battery for you or they will provide the tools to replace it yourself. If you have chronic back or shoulder issues it's best that you have them do it.

I've come here three times for three different car batteries. They're always super fast and helpful. Even with covid when I came today they were still pretty quick and did their best to provide great service. David was very helpful, and another tech there I don't know his name but he let me use some stuff when changing my battery which made the process a bit easier for me. I appreciate the service and I'll definitely come back.

Not very happy about having to replace battery for second time. No charge last time, but it was out of warranty this time. Cost me $78, half price. Outrageous to have to pay $150 every 2 years. They were friendly as they charged me for their defective product. Battery prices are ridiculous everywhere. Don't recommend "Interstate".

I exclusively use Intererstate batteries for all of my vehicles. I usually have three reasons for using a business: location, product, customer service which this has two of criteria. The location is further than I would like to travel but I rely on this product on a everyday basis. Lastly, I would recommend this product highly for the price one would pay for similar products.

I came in with an Interstate battery and they were able to guide me. The replacement warranty was expired (apparently the other place sold me an old battery) but they did the prorated warranty. Great to know they are local. They handle business great even with COVID-19 safety measures in place.

Very professional and helpful! Fernando saved the day during my cross country trip! Helped diagnose my battery problem. Had a new updated battery in stock. Installed it in a few minutes and made sure my alternator was charging properly. Thank you guys so much!!

Prices are very reasonable, customer service is great, they usually replace the batteries for you on the spot. I drive a commercial company vehicle, they could not replace my battery because it was tucked in the back. They went out of their way to find a place that would replace it for me!!! Awesome!

OMG! Saved my life. Brian at the La Mesa location helped me find a reasonably priced replacement for my ailing battery. Being on a fixed income, I was in a panic. He told me I would need to go to their warehouse off Miramar. He was patient and helpful, which was so appreciated. At the warehouse, there was no waiting and the technician named Caesar, was professional and very kind to me and took care of everything. I hope Interstate appreciates how well they are represented by the likes of Brian and Caesar. I recommend this company. If I could give them six stars, I would.

Fast and efficient install of my new battery. They provided a battery condition check prior to replacing the battery. I had read previous reviews and most said they had their battery installed free, I was charged $15.00 for the installation. It saved me a 15 mile return trip if I had to return the core after doing it myself. So I had it installed.

Fernando helped me on a Saturday. He was the only employee, and was handling traffic and phone calls both. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and nice to to deal with. He tested the battery and alternator. I had conflicting test results from other stores. He explained it was definitely the battery. He gave me tips to help prolong battery life. I followed his recommendations, and purchased the best battery size for my truck. The price was competitive or better than other stores. He checked out everything after I installed it. I feel very confident with my choice, and purchasing from Fernando at this store. Highly recommend for your battery needs.

Top quality car batteries at competitive prices. Unlikely I will have any problems with battery for next 5 years. Probably good for 7 years or more. Interstate is superior compared to batteries at Orielly's or Autozone. Those fail in 2 or 3 years.Great service. I like going to this store. The person at the register was knowledgeable and courteous. I have been to La Mesa store many times for personal and for my work and always have a good experience.
