Total SCAM, they seriously give you 1/2 of what you could get somewhere else, on top of that, I'm pretty sure they don't give receipts to anyone because they don't give anyone what they should be, my total was $17.89 and they only gave me $17, they do that to everyone, and pocket the change, that is so freaking illegal, not to mention in most cases not all but I know for me, I'm having to recycle because I'm homeless and broke, $0.89 my not be much to a lot of people but it is to me, pissed me off, like don't put it on your receipts if that's not what your giving people. It's a very convenient location and open every day is a plus.. wish you guys would read these and take some advise from the people who are not satisfied with your business, look at all the negative comments, and how long it's been going on. I'm sure you would have a lot more business that was happy if you did.
This facility is well-maintained and operates efficiently. Staff members are knowledgeable and courteous, and signage makes the entire process easy to follow.
Really happy with this recycling center! The people working here are always in a good mood and super helpful if you’re not sure where things go. It’s quick, convenient, and makes getting rid of cans and bottles way less of a chore.

Been coming here for months for extra cash with inflation rising and the pricing is really fair you have to collect quite a bit to get a worthy payout but anything helps these days!
I went there today with my truck full of plastic bottles CRV Plus
15 pounds aluminum cans I only get $41 starting today I will put everything in the trash can that was my recycling for more than one year recycling doesn't work with companys like that one
Have used this satellite recycling facility to recycle for nearly two years, and the staff have always been polite, professional, and helpful. Today, Sam and Madison were friendly, helpful, and professional. The good service here is always consistently good. You don't have to separate glass by color either, and I like that! There are always enough bins for many people to use simultaneously. I would definitely recommend Sunset Recycling Ctr if needing to bring yours recycling in.

I had a lot to recycle and I was assisted by the staff who was very friendly, but professional. No I didn't get a receipt but there were a lot of people there and I was just happy to get rid of my recyclables for a little bit of cash. Thank you for helping me
We call their number and their automated message say they are open so you load up the back of your truck with 10 bags of cans and drive across the city only to find they are not open. Received a text message from them after we called and we asked if they are open and was told they are. Once we told them there is no one there and everything is closed up they quickly went silent. Will not use again
I brought in a lot of cans and waited for them to weigh everything. When I checked the scale, it showed 26 pounds. They handed me $25, so I did the math, knowing the rate was $1.68 per pound. By my calculations, I should’ve received around $42.
Confused, I went back to the guy at the stand and asked, “It was 26 pounds, right?” He replied, “No, it was 16 pounds.” At that point, I didn’t even want to argue, but it was clear they weren’t paying the full rate—they just claimed the weight was lower to cheat people.
If you want to get what you’re owed, I’d recommend driving a little further. The place in Temecula that closed down used to be great, but unfortunately, this spot is a scam. Better to take the time to go somewhere honest.

Guys working here every friendly & tripped me out one guy working there has a sick rare car . Very clean spot kept up well and very respectful. Definitely recommend coming here if you want to stop by in and out they get it done!
Been coming here for a few months now and it’s insane how today was a perfect day nobody was here and I got to talk to the gentleman Mike a little got to know him such a great guy and customer service from him and other gentleman Jesse that works there really good ! Pricing is also pretty fair here and they will help you load you stuff if you need help loading it highly recommend coming here since other places are now closed down in town !

I took a few bags of recycling today with my kids. My kids each count out 50 bottles because if they weigh them we get close to nothing. So each of my 3 kids counted out 50 bottles but this man didn’t want to accept them and gave me the nastiest attitude because they aren’t 18 or have a valid license he said. He said in order to recycle you have to have an id or else he wouldn’t accept them. When I questioned him and said fine just weigh the rest he then proceeded to make sure he asked for my license. When has that ever been a thing? It’s damn recycling. Why make it complicated.
First time going was today, looks like the 2 other recycling centers we usually go to closed down. It was a pretty easy and smooth process. However i had an extremely BIG amount of water bottles this time , thinking i would get a good amount back. Joke was on me, wasnt sure how much they pay for weight but it was a huge disappointment. Not even worth recycling anymore. Less than half of what i usually get. I guess first and last time going here.
Curious to know who's running the company, and how they calculate the value of your items.
The amount I received in return for the CAR LOAD of recyclables that I turned in was extremely questionable!!!!!
I would get more than double the amount at the other facility that I used to go to before it closed.
I will definitely be going to another recycling center in the future!!
Customer service was great, staff was friendly and their whole setup was easy for separating your recycling and getting everything weighed. The only drawback (being the most important) is how much they pay for the recycling. It is almost exactly 50% LESS than what I'm used to getting. My other recycling place would have paid just under $30 while Sunset paid me $15. The center I had been recycling at for the past 10yrs closed down and I needed an alternative. There's one other place nearby that just happened to be closed today so I'll try them next time. If they pay this low, it's not worth my time or gas to continue recycling.
I love coming here the service is great, I always get more than expected, theres no waiting, they are always willing to help out sorting out the recycling if needed! Also the guys always have great attitude which that’s a plus! Definitely recommend 100%
Well, we should have read the reviews here before coming here as they are all true. I took my son here and he was so excited as this was his first time recycling cans as he is saving for a car. This guy completely ripped us off. Said his printer was broken and he couldn’t give us a receipt. He showed us the screen super quick like he didn’t want us to see it. We brought in so many cans and all he gave us was $25. Total tip off. DO NOT bring your recycling here! We will be going to the place behind Stater bros next time!
First of all I am writing this review after receiving such great customer service. This place is extremely fast & very clean! The two new guys working there are extremely helpful, hardworking, & friendly. What can I say…I was in and out of the place in less than 10 minutes. I’m very impressed on how fast these men are. The two men working appeared to know a lot about recycling. They were very informative and explained to me what cans and bottles I should look out for that are recyclable and let me know which ones pay out the most. I have had bad experiences with other recycling places because their workers are often rude if you ask questions or rob you of your money. These men appeared honest and happy to answer any of my questions. This place really cares about their customers. I will definitely be coming back again! I had forgotten to get their names but all I can say is Give these men a raise!
