I went in for regular service on my EV car. Jose was really awesome and offered shuttle service to my house and back. He actually drove me in my car so I could use the carseat for my toddler and didn't have to deal with uninstalling it and reinstalling in their shuttle vehicle. I made an appointment and everything was completed on time as promised. Jose was a pleasure to work with and I'll definitely be back.

Amazing!! My former mechanic was in this space and after he retired I didn't know where I was going to go. It is such a pleasure to deal with the El Sob Town Garage. Professional, friendly, fair prices, and tech savvy Diagnostics; so the customer can see the issues prior to approval. I stopped by today (4/11), after calling to request they order a battery. Once I arrived, Jose tested my battery and it was ultimately determined; that I did not need one. I value HONESTY!! ?

Brought my truck in for an oil change and got an inspection with the service. The inspection findings were explained to me and shared in a report complete with photos. I took my son’s Jetta in for service based on a family member’s recommendation. I found the business to be great! I called for an appointment and dropped off the car. It was for oil change and to check a noise from the back as well as check to make sure everything is ok. Natalie was great with all communication. I especially like the fact that they sent me pictures of everything and why they recommended the work to be done. They found the sway bar link broken (ie the noise), the rear break needed to be replaced and 2 new tires. My husband and I agreed with everything they recommended. We had to leave the car overnight while they waited for parts. We found them to be professional and knowledgeable. Their prices were very reasonable and they guaranteed the work. We will definitely take our car back here again on the next service.

I went in for a tailgate that wouldn’t stay open and some electrical work They inspected the entire vehicle as well and gave me an accurate timeline as to what was needed now and what was safe to wait on. Up front about costs and scheduling. Reasonable and very professional. I won’t go anywhere else.

Jose and his team are excellent. I have been here a couple of times, and the work and customer service are excellent. They were efficient, professional and clear about cost, and how long it would take to finish job. I am very happy with the work and will return in the future.

I had oil change, shocks replaced, and replaced brake pads, hardware and rotors and four tires. I use this business because they are honest and don’t try to sell you more services than you need even though you might be a women, a lot of businesses do. They gave me a ride home and pickup while they had my car. I was only going to get two tires that were really bad and the other two could last for a while however they informed me since I was going on a long road trip I should get four tires to be safe so I did. They do look out for their customers. I will continue to do business with them for as long as I drive.

Jose, Natalie and the rest are great people. I’ve been there twice for two different issues in the last month! Nothing but a purely positive experience each time. Wonderful service. The crew there go above and beyond what is expected or that I have experienced in the past with any other car service. They keep detail records and the work they do is keeping my car on the road safely. No extra add on to a bill and will go thur the list of wha it’s need if I am tight on money and honestly charge me.

El sobrante Town garage has for years provided me and my 1999 Nissan quest minivan excellent service at reasonable rates. I cannot praise them enough. They do great work, they care, and they know how to do great work. I recommend them highly! My one fear is that if enough people read this and flood the business, I'll have to wait longer to get service in the future!

The receptionist was super supportive and helpful. She went out of her way and found tires in my price range and was able to get them to the shop same day and i picked up my car that same evening. Super efficient, professional, friendly and down to earth.. highly recommend!

Jose and his crew are the best. They take care of all of our cars and have made sure that when our cars are on the road they are safe and won’t break down. We take our Subaru Outback, Mercedes sprinter van, and Toyota Prius for maintenance and repairs. All cars are serviced accordingly and on time. Super honest, transparent, great service and fairly priced services. A+

Jose was very helpful and had a professional demeanor. Abby at the front desk was super friendly. Price seemed steep for an oil change/tire rotation, but I get the impression that they are the kind of people you can trust to get the job done right. Would recommend!

Recently, I had my first experience at el Sobrante town garage. My check engine light came on and I brought it in to see what code came up. Jose informed me that he wanted to check the code, clear it and go for a drive just to see if that would take care of the issue. He let me know that if the code were to pop back up during our drive that we knew the car had an actual issue and that the code didn’t pop up accidentally due to the sensitivity of the engines computer. I know absolutely nothing about cars so this was all very informative :) We went for a drive to see if the code popped back up and it remained cleared for that day. Jose said that if the check engine light popped back up to bring it in and we would go from there to try and single out the issue. A day or so later the check engine light came back on and I brought it in. From there Armando kept in constant communication with me to inform me of their processes and where they were at with fixing my car. They had my car back to me in 2 days :) Armando walked me through the costs and other potential issues that I might want to consider fixing for safety’s sake and their costs were totally affordable. Armando’s communication was professional, informative and super friendly at all times. On a personal note it means a lot to a woman that she knows that she can take her car into a mechanic and know that she’s not getting screwed on the price or recommended services. I’ve been looking for a solid mechanic since I moved to the bay almost 4 years ago and I’m so glad that I finally found one :) One thing I know for sure is that I will be back and no matter where I move to these guys will definitely have my business for years to come.

Just got my 61 Caddy back earlier today after having some upgrades done to the Carburator and ignition systems. Jose and his team had a few hurdles to deal with and handled them with no problems. Car is running really strong now. I am very happy with the outcome and recommend this shop.I will definitely use them again for future projects on my car. Thanks again!

Great customer service! Armando called with estimate of costs for work needed on my truck. He discussed which work items were needed and which work items could wait until next time. Team is very thorough with their explanations, their inspections and services provided for my truck. Happy to have them now as my car service goto!

Very disappointed. I made a appointment with Armando. I called & stated what issues my car had,valve cover gasket oil leak, sensor light going on & off 3 different indicators & slow tire leak. After the inspection of One hr. & WAS TOLD EXACTLY WHAT I ALREADY KNEW & if i wanted ANY work done i had to bring it back. I WAS CHARGED over $100. A waste of $$ .NO Mechanical Work to car .NICE courteous PEOPLE BUT, THAT DIDN'T HELP MY ISSUE .

This place is great. Price to fix your car is great. I had several service lights on. Toyota wanted to charge me 200 just to check out the lights. El Sobrante checked out all the lights and fixed the problem for less than Toyota. Who wanted 200 just to check out the lights. El Sobrante charged me 108!!!

I was lucky to discover this garage after hitting road debris on I-80 that completely eviscerated my car front to back. AAA towed me to this garage (I live near Sacramento). They were able to rebuild my exhaust system, fix the dings, work with my insurance company, and get me back in my car with new parts. Their garage is pristine and their people are friendly. Judging by the interactions I saw between them and their regular customers, I'd say they are seen as reliable and a resource (my repair came with a 2 year warranty on the work). Mark, the owner, clearly takes pride in his work. If you're in the area (or road debris brings you by), check them out!
