Like many mentioned, he washes his car, or talks to a friend and kept 2 of us waiting.
There are not smaller baskets for when you have smaller amounts. I understand, as he is the only employee, so he has the power. And the boredom.
I will have to watch to make sure he isn't ripping me off. But this recycling ♻️ is convenient and VERY CLEAN.
The guy that works here will input lower weights than what is shown on the scale. He only stopped and inputted it correctly when he saw I was recording the weights. He also many times is washing his car or talking with friends instead of manning the center and you have to wait for him. I like the convenience of this center but just beware of the worker.
I’ve tried giving this place a try TWICE both times I was underpaid and I even told him hey you didn’t count these, thinking I wouldn’t notice he took them from me and still didn’t adjust the total. I had a similar experience the first time I came but I just don’t have the time to go back and forth with them. It’s sad but from the looks of these reviews he does this a lot.
We asked if they could take our empty gas cartridges (which you are supposed to bring to a recycling center), and the only thing the employee could say was "no" multiple times even when we asked where we could bring them instead.
I was short changed too yesterday, he makes 2 receipts, if you do not ask for the total and watchful of the number on the weighing scale, his cheating habit succeeds. So bad we need and want to help these people but we do not need cheaters like him.
I used to use this place for the past couple of years but about 3 months ago I stopped going. there was a new employee there and he underpaid me by $30!!!! when I questioned him he got nervous and said he didn't speak English. When I asked to speak with his manager or for him to call his manager he right away said here $15 trying to make me go away.
There were other people there one particularly a girl who usually comes with the same amount of recycles she also said she was shortchanged by him so just be aware know what you're recycling and pay attention to what the scale says and what he inputs.
I have used them for several years with no issues. Conveniently located behind Ralph’s in the Target Center. However, today I had an unusually large amount of plastic to recycle. I did a running total of the weight of my 2 1/2 gallon water jugs, myself. The worker didn’t add the third can he weighed into my total. So he underpaid me. Not worth a confrontation to me over a few dollars. But just an FYI to anyone using this recycling center.
My main place I bring my recycles! Not only are the workers friendly they are really quick so never expect a long wait if there are others before you! It's never busy which is also a plus! The prices are fare and on-point when it comes down to weighing and the final payment.
