This dude is awesome. Absolutely love him. He's hilarious, his pricing is great, he's fast and he's honest. If he can't do it he will send you off to people who do not screw his clients. Been going to Casey for years, and will continue. He's never turned me away, and always tries to fit you in.
Omg, thank God for Casey. We were visiting from Santa Cruz and were just starting home when our car wouldn't start. Five different people (ok, so three WERE lawyers, but they tried) tried to jump-start it. No luck. The tow truck driver suggested we tow it to Casey's, just a few blocks away.
First thing next morning Casey put a new battery in it, but the car (a '11 Mitsubishi Outlander) would not start. We paced around while Casey sat in our car and thought. Occasionally he would turn the key and the car would start. But not always. Even with a fresh battery!
Long story short, not only was the battery almost dead (we knew this but hadn't gotten around to replacing it), but the tiny battery inside the electronic key fob had almost died as well. The reason the car would start occasionally was because my husband had the fob IN HIS POCKET and was pacing in and out of its (almost down to zero) range as Casey worked!
Before that, we had kept the fob in our glove box all the time because (don't tell) many folks don't lock their beater cars where we live. From that location two feet to the ignition, our car's anti-theft feature is always OFF and the car will start just by turning the ring around the ignition. It's unique to the sport model and is a feature, not a bug. It has its own little battery and transmitter.
Not knowing the area well, my husband had locked the car and put the electronic fob in his pocket where it didn't have the signal strength to tell the car it was not being stolen -- and so the engine could start.
See?
Yeah, Nobody else did either... But Casey figured it out and shrugged it off as no big deal.
That's why Casey could charge double for what he does.
But he doesn't, and that is one reason why YOU want your car fixed at Casey's.
My Dad would have admiringly called Casey "a mechanic's mechanic". That is the other reason to let him fix your car. He's "vintage" :-)

Casey is a great human being. I've been to multiple mechanics in the past but Casey takes the cake for the most empathetic one. His phone etiquette can sometimes feel off but do not be deterred by this. He is a great mechanic who does not take advantage of people in a hard spot of life. He has done repairs for me for way more affordable prices than anyone around.

I took my car to Casey for the exact same issue several times and each time he told me he’d repaired it and charged me for different repairs each time including a “new radiator”, hoses, reservoir and my car is still overheating, the very same issue!! He ripped me off ( car is still leaking and overheating) and then told me maybe to take my car elsewhere. Don’t take your vehicle to Casey!
Casey is AWESOME! He fit me in on short notice. When the part(AC compressor) was not properly delivered by the first parts store, Casey worked diligently to aquire the part from another outlet as a "rush order" and did NOT charge me more than guys original estimate. He and his staff are courteous and efficient. I was in my way with very cold AC for our drive home in just over an hour total. TOP RATE!!
Casey helped me with repairs needed on my car, first time going to him and he is a very genuine man. I felt complete honesty and he did not try and over charge me or sell me on things not needed. I will return for future problems should they come up. Highly recommend. Thank you for helping me!

I took my car to Casey’s Discount Auto for a diagnostic test for the check engine light and Casey figures it out and reset the check engine light for free. We will be taking our cars there from now on. Casey is one of the nicest and honest men I know. God Bless you Casey

I almost always do my own work on my cars, but working on my A/C system was beyond my diy skills. I wound up taking my car to have them drain the system. It has been a long time such I've met a mechanic so knowledgeable. Casey is incredibly friendly and professional, and cheap! Took my car here to get it looked at for a battery drain. Car stayed there two days and small items were Stolen out of ny car including my brand new jump starter. I DON'T TRUST them and NEVER will. I advise strongly not to take your car over there. You are NOT protected. Stayed in his locked yard for two nights. He doesn't know who took my things and acted nonchalant about this whole ordeal. I'm disappointed and upset that this man treated me this way. CASEY is Responsible for this!!!
