Seen that Mike has been caught for his terrible business, I had tried buying a truck from him a couple years back and when it came down to the deal we had waited a full 8 hours to get the truck that was getting new cats, when the whole time he had been telling me it was getting detailed and of course never passed smog. Luckily the next day I had told him and double checked paper work and put down I had put down more money then I gave him I did seek legal advice and he was quick to drive my truck I traded into him 3 hours back to bakersfield refund my money down. Now looking at the most recent transaction that people are going threw I got really lucky.
Worst, most dishonest and unprofessional service I've ever received from a business!!
Purchased the vehicle middle of April. Was told the day we were driving down that the backseat was taken out of it, but they had one ordered and it would be shipped to us (we have a child, which they met and were aware of, so obviously cannot use the vehicle as needed with no seat). Almost a month later, after being told numerous times its now been ordered (when it was supposed to be ordered before we even picked it up), I had to threaten to file on their license to get a response and then had to go to Madera to make sure he didn't flake (5 hours round trip). There were also mechanical problems that were supposed to be fixed before we picked it up, no surprise that turned out to not be done (did end up getting parts and money for that, again after threatening his license). Now we we are at 94 days with expired registration (legally they have 90 days and hadn't even started paperwork until I called to inquire about my tags 6 weeks later) and DMV advises the dealer hasn't finished the paperwork. No answer, no return calls or texts, crickets
Last week i texted Mike to find out where my registration was for my jeep i purchased from him March 5. He sent me a picture of them and said he was putting them in the mail that day. As of today nothing. I told him i was going to give him bad reviews he sent me an Emoji Sad Face. Mike is a liar over and over again. Does not return phone calls or textes. This is the 2nd jeep ive purchased from Mike same thing with registration with first Jeep intill we went in person to pick up. Mike had them on his file cabinet all along.
Mike is a nice guy and will promise you whatever you want. But does Not follow thru. I purchased my jeep March 5 and did not get it till 7 days later. He put a 2 1/2 lift on it and Rims and tires. I told him a 2 inch lift. Mike and I picked out rims and tires for jeep.That he thru in if i purchased jeep. He promised it would be ready on Saturday 3 days after signing paper work. Which he called and called me to meet him in Chowchilla to sign paper work. I meet Mike gave him the down payment.(he was late). Saturday came he would not answer his phone or return my textes. Intill finally i was so upset I texted him with not nice words. He finally called me back around 2pm and said the rims and tires did not come in from some ventor in Oakland. Lie! He never ordered them. When i told him i was so upset, Mike told me to calm down . Mike started sending me pictures of rim and tires. And said he was very busy that day( rainy day) I told him i did not care to get my jeep done as promised. He then called me and said Jeep would not be done intill Monday. Mike said i could come get it as is intill rims and tires were in. I told him hell no.
Mike said he would drive it down to where i live on Monday. Monday came he texted me he was leaving Madera at 4 or 430 to bring Jeep. Iam only 1 hr away. Mike finally showed up at my house at 930 pm!!!!!!! My jeep DID NOT HAVE THE RIMS AND TIRES I PICKED OUT!!
Jeep was lifted higher then 2 inches. Gas tank empty. Only 1 key to jeep. Mike said he would look for other key and put it in the mail. Still no key!
Mike is a liar! Beware people! MIKE comes off as a nice guy . . I got stopped by the police on Monday. They said i should have received registration. I hated to call Mike but i did and i still get the run around. But still nothing!!!!!!
Mike did ask how the Jeep was. I told him clutch went out. He said he would pay for clutch because of all the mess ups. Mike asked were jeep was getting fixed. Mike said he would send a clutch to them. He still continues to lie. Lol still No clutch!
Mike does not even deserve a Star. But had to put it.
Best advice I can give about this place is take any vehicle you want to buy and have inspected. He buys cars from auction and swaps parts with vehicles he has there to make look different newer better ect. Mike will tell you anything you want to hear in order to sell you the vehicle he is pure car salesmen. I bought a jeep off of him only to realize this thing needs 3k worth of work before I can even drive out of town. Hes done nothing for me and just keeps up with the lies if you can take your business elsewhere. There customer service if you want to call it that is terrible. He gave me run around for 8days even had his secretary lie to me and say he wasn't there when I could clearly hear him talking in background. This place sucks give your money to a more reputable dealer this place is a con good luck!
Great small business who specialize in getting you a quality pre owned Jeep Wrangler. Very educated on Jeeps, nice staff. It's not a corp lot like Carmax it's boutique. They do upgrades and custom work to. Great experience!
Great looking jeeps, but terrible customer service. Got the runaround for a week before finally getting the jeep and a month after having it realize the heater core they supposedly replaced wasn't replaced, the radiator is cracked, and they never replaced the shocks they said they did. Also never gave me the keys to the aftermarket glove box after repeated calls. I would never deal with this place again for anything. Nothing but constant lies and telling you whatever you want to hear with no results.
I HAVE BOUGHT A TON OF CARS AND HAVEN'T HAD THE GREAT EXPERIENCE BEFORE! LIKE I DID HERE. GREAT PLACE TO BUY YOUR NEXT JEEP OR TRUCK! THE TEAM HERE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND HONEST. I LOOKED ALL AROUND CA FOR A JEEP AND BY FARE THE BEST PRICES AROUND. THANK YOU TOY HOOK UP FOR MY NEW JEEP THE FAMILY LOVES IT!!!
Buyer beware, the owner of this business is a liar!!!This dealership is a joke, we bought a jeep in August with a rear main seal leak, was told to leave it and it would be fixed in 4 days, drove an hour and a half to pick it up and was told no one knew anything, waited around and told no one had Mike's number, when the mechanic figured out we were not going to leave he gave us his number. Mike told is just take it to our mechanic and he would pay, this repair was noted in the due bill! It is now December and he has lied 3 times saying the check is in the mail and now will not answer any call or text!! We still do not have the plates for the jeep!! I will be reporting him to the BBB!!
Super nice guy! Has worked REALLY hard to help my husband get the jeep of his dreams. Knowledgeable and honest, we will always come to him for advise, parts and repairs!
I am sorry to hear the prior comment. I have bought several Jeeps from Mike at Toy Hook Up Inc, and have never had a problem with either the service or the vehicles. I buy all of my aftermarket parts from them also, and they have done nothing but quality work for me. I would highly recommend Toy Hook Up Inc for all of your Jeep, and OFF ROAD needs. I have no problem sending my friends and family to them. I bet if you called Mike and expressed your issues he would gladly make things right!!
