First time going here. I found the people very efficient, professional and speedy. Received much more than I was expecting. Now, I am looking around my home to see what I can recycle. Will be returning. Thanks guys!
They definitely don't pay the correct amount money to the custtomers what is worth it. the guy who wrote the receipt makes an extra receipt whe hen was writing other customer and mine at the same time when I make a coment he became agresive his name is jose. They keep money writing three receipts for two customer at the same time. And keeps one.
Before it was an excellent place they paid the right price
Now they have the containers marked and you can no longer see the exact weight
and they rob you
because you already know how much it weighs more or less and when they weigh it they steal from you
better look for other places
I feel like they don't give you the amount that is supposed to be owed or given, due to everyone always being in a rush and perhaps you think we aren't necessarily paying attention, however don't stiff us costumers!! It's very unprofessional.
I was here a couple days ago only because 2 other recycling centers were closed and I did not want to drive back home with a load of metal in my truck. After I weighed in on the scale, I was directed to the back by some African American man…the dude kept on wanting to position my truck further in the back. I was hesitant but wanted to get done and get out. As I pulled up where he wanted me to park, I heard a couple loud pops. After I unloaded my truck I noticed that I had parked right in a large bed of nails and had 2 tires nearly flat. I had approx 15-20 nails in my truck tires. I immediately had my wife go and talk to one of the guys driving a fork lift and also to the girl behind the window only to be told that they are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle. I’m so pissed I can’t believe it! I can’t even say anything because one lie out of any of these pos mouths can land you in prison. I’m still attempting to contact the owner to see what he says about it. Straight garbage!!
Cal City recycling closed up, so I tried this place and I am NOT disappointed at all. You get your money's worth back. Very quick and efficient! In and out in 10 minutes!
Very good place to bring bottles and cans. The staff is rapid and efficient and it all provides for a worthwhile experience. Was very satisfied with AV.
Horrible service they rip you off they completely don't pay the prices that are the going prices for scrap they cut off pounds at the scale they don't give you accurate weight these guys do bad business I would not recommend them they'll rip you off every time

Usually fast service as well with a receipt unlike the former one in Kern County.
Sometimes they are douchey and only take CRV which doesn't make it competitive with the other recycling centers in Lancaster.
Arrived at this spot Saturday at 2:30 pm. Guy closes the gate on me saying they're closed. If you're closed why does the sign say close at 3? Then he lets someone else walk through after I leave. I used to go here all the time now it feels like their business isn't like it used to be. The cash back too. I get better prices in Santa Clarita. Very disappointed now...
Two times I’ve been to this location before their posted time of closing, only to be told “We’re closed”. If your business says you close at 3pm on the painted wall, google,and Siri then you should stay open til 3pm. I arrived exactly at 2:39 pm on Saturday 04/23/22 and was told that they close at 2:40 pm. I only had 3 bags of recycling and all of my recycling was already sorted so I could’ve been out of there in like three minutes. The issue is doing business properly. I asked to speak to the manager calmly and with respect and was told “the manager will come talk to you in a little bit. The manager never came to speak to me and everyone kept saying “I don’t know where the manager is”. I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!
Turned out my timing was great. Was able to get in get and done with no real wait time. They are usually on point handling business. Good place in my opinion
So disorganized it was a nightmare today FYI do not go there anytime before closing even 2:00 is terrible it clearly stated closed yet there were still people thinking they would still get in just trying to do what they want and ignore the fact that they were being told not to somebody just drove in past everybody and still got kicked out just dessert I say
Parking was a bit disorganized and it was very free-for-all in terms of finding buckets to put your recyclables in, however the staff were attentive and worked at a fast pace, ensuring the wait was only as long as neccessary. They have a good reputation of paying fairly for what is brought around as well, making them a popular place to recycle.
Cashing out was hassle free and easy. They also seem to be a great pillar of the community as well, knowing some of the regulars and encouraging them to bring in all sorts of recyclables. Apparently good prices and good community support is enough for me to recommend them.
They have fast service. I was surprised when I went today there was hardly anybody there. They are usually packed and sometimes hard to get in and out. Overall a good place to go
I’m only putting one star so that I can post this review (if I could I wouldn’t even put one star) I weighed my aluminum cans at home and they weighed 28.3 pounds and when I went here they said it only weighed 13.1 pounds. This place is a gross dump, never going back.
When there was a not so friendly customer, the workers were firm with the man, and didn't allow him to cut in front of anyone, even though he was being really rude and disrespectful. The employees were great about keeping the line moving and trying to keep up with the demands of recycle containers that w as needed.
New management? Definitely new employees. They guy in line behind me warned me that they aren't paying people right. Another man complained because his receipt was wrong. They ripped me off too! First, they gave me 5 cents for 10 cent cans then instead of giving me the money for brass they labeled it as scrap metal. 19 pounds of brass and I got 38 cents.
When I went they were packed but I understand why. They give you top $ for your recycles and they are fast, you would never feel like they were as busy as they are.
Ok first off no one wants to get taken advantage of...be aware they will not do a count on bottles ect unless you ask...which yields more$, being taken is not ok...when we recycle we want the most and I can say I will never return. They know they taking advantage, and shame on them.
Make sure you do your own weight math (weight when full basket minus weight when empty basket, then multiply that # by the going rate/lb) and ask for the going rates. The guy made a "mistake" and I almost lost $15 (simple MATH PEOPLE!!). Other than that it's a recycling center....so yeah.
They said our bottles had water in them, but we said no, they were crushed bottles. They wanted to give us only half the money. So we had to put all our bottles back into bags ourselves. At other times we have counted bottles and taken it there, and have only gotten a little over half the amount we would have gotten had we went to a recycling machine. So instead of 5 cents a bottle, you get 2-3 cents a bottle. We will never come here again.
This has been, hands down, the best recycling center that I've been to in the Antelope Valley. There was a long line, the workers there accommodated me even though it extended past normal hours of operation. I will DEFINITELY going back for my recycling needs.
