Illegal withholding of cash and professional tools - Violation of CVC 22651.07.
I am filing this complaint against Freeway Towing Santa Clarita for their inconsistent and illegal practices. I presented my legal Bill of Sale (REG 262) and my Sheriff's release to retrieve my personal property. In a completely illogical move, they gave me my check and credit card because they were 'in my name,' but they REFUSED to give me my cash and over $1,000 worth of professional tools that were in the same place.By giving me the check, they already admitted that the property in the vehicle belongs to me. However, they are now illegally withholding my cash and my tools, which are my livelihood. According to California Vehicle Code 22651.07, a towing company must allow the retrieval of personal property without charge. They are using the 'name in the system' as an excuse to keep my belongings, even though I have the legal DMV documents. This is without mentioning the way they provided the service, telling me that what the sheriff says is what happens in his office and that the establishment's rules were independent of what the sheriff said. I understand things to a certain extent, but I don't think that's the professional way to respond. Now my cash, my house keys, and my tool are I'm locked up there, I don't refuse to pay and I understand that this situation is my responsibility, but they really shut the doors on you, it even seems like they treat you badly. With disgust, but the law is very clear and I will file my complaint all the way to the authorities that regulate the licenses of these types of companies. Not to mention that he has a contract with the city, I'm not a troublemaker, but neither He left me when I had the legal arguments written under California law, and when I spoke about it Under the knowledge of the law... That's because they don't have my name and my Reg 262 is not valid to prove that I am the owner of the property. This is a predatory practice and a violation of state law. I will be taking further legal action and reporting this to the City and the DMV.
This was by far the worst towing service I’ve ever experienced. Be extremely careful before calling them—they will keep charging you excessively and won’t release your equipment until they’ve drained every possible dollar. The staff is highly unprofessional, and the whole operation feels like a complete scam. I’ve been in the trucking industry for 5 years, and this is easily the worst service I’ve encountered anywhere in the United States. Completely unacceptable.
El motivo de dar una estrella es porque el servicio al cliente es demasiado mal luego me hicieron un cobro y el que me atendió me hizo la transacción en 2 veces me cobró doble ya llevo 3 semanas y no me regresan mi reembolso dan un servicio muy pésimo pienso que el dueńo debería prestar mucha atención en eso.
I would rather walk onto the freeway into oncoming traffic than ever use freeway towing again. This place is a complete scam. My car was stolen and I went there four times to try and get my car out. Every time they would come up with a new requirement And rack up additional days of storage fees. I have no idea how this place ever got a county of Los Angeles contract, but I will be filing complaints directly with the city. Do yourself a favor and use any other tow company. Do not let yourself become a victim of the free freeway towing criminal enterprise.
They illegally impounded my car. They took it shortly after I left and it broke down they falsified the report. The chp recognized my car and contacted me. So did DMV. The chp found it hidden in the back of freeways lot. They stated that the Santa claritashetiff called it in sergeant Nelson Rios said that they didn't they injured the date, repairs, and the time, and the cars information the DMV contacted me and I refused to let it go. When I found out where it was I went up cash in hand. They kept making all kindS of flimsy excuses kept raising the fees. Anthony Haddad with freeway is a weasel my car is a red, Ford,1965 Shelby ac cobra they want to keep it they won't my new lawyer us suing them for a lot of money. I'm seeking criminal charges. Several counts of predatory towing

Super aggressive employees, they speak badly to you, super expensive charge16k just for moving a truck a few feet Anyone who has a bad experience with this company should file a complaint with CHP.
Our situation was scary for us, as it was our first time dealing with a flat tire on the busy I-5. After a Good Samaritan kindly stopped to put on the spare tire for us, Vincent arrived. Vincent then gave us the best advice on what to do from there, and was honest in saying that we didn’t need to have the car towed. He even followed us to the closest exit as we were nervous about driving on the freeway with the spare. He then recommended the best place to get our tire repaired, and everything ended up working out. We are so grateful to everyone that helped us out that day, especially Vincent. Thank you thank you!
Nobody likes to deal with this kind of situation whereas your vehicle gets impounded when your homeless and have two dogs to take care of. Some people are just heartless and the far and few between aren't but as for the towing it was a pain in the as- and I was 15 minutes late making it 5: 15 pm and they charged me an additional 94 bucks for that was another heartless act. In all this madness the tow truck driver did a good job.

My uncle was in a car accident and the CHP officer made a mistake in documenting his license plate information. Another uncle drove down from Sacramento with a notarized letter to get the car. The workers there were able to help my uncle due to the unfortunate circumstances. They allowed my uncle to grab the belongings while his brother was in a coma. Thank you so much for helping us out during that difficult time.
This place has very rude employees and the services here sucks Vincent is so rude he told a customer to get off his phone or get out this businesses shouldn’t be in business how they treat customers as an employee if you want respect you have to give it so don’t be getting upset when customers talk to you how you talk to them I wish I know who owns this company because they should know how it’s getting ruined by employees but I will be contact the BBB and also the Automotive Breuer
They are very money hungry rude and basically steal your car just for being parked on the street near your home for over 72 hours and charge you alot of money to get it back watch out for them!
I got into my first accident on the way as a driver and let me just say that Vincent from freeway towing located at Lebec CA was amazing at his job! Vincent was there taking care of my burned down car through the whole process and even gave me a ride to Frazier park. His customer service was amazing and I cannot ask for anyone else after working with Vincent. He definitely set the expectation high when he did his job that day!
Was in a rear end collision and car was towed to their yard staff was very helpful with getting everything and Kimberly helped me get all my belongings with no hassles.
It was soo cold on Christmas and I was stranded in middle of nothing and before I even hung up the phone they were already backing up to tow my car to safety. It cost more than i had expected but I'm grateful they were avail thanks Adam for getting my "broken down car " to motel 6. Lol.
Employee in a ford wheel lift truck harassed us in the parking lot at 1 in the morning for parking sideways in parking spots with a trailer just so he can park in the spots to eat his in n out while there was numerous open spots around us.
Totally unprofessional & just a lame guy
No good deed should go unnoticed! I have believed and acted on this most of my life. I was recently stranded in my motorhome at the nearby Speedway. Calls through an 800-number were getting me no where. I walked to Freeway Towing and explained my situation to Kimberly. She referred me to another local business and was happy to do so. Though I didn't need a tow, I did need help getting my diesel pusher started and she referred me in the right direction though there was no financial gain to her company. The world needs more people like her.
Anthony was very patient helpful they assisted me with all my needs even escorted me as I’m handicapped and I’m a wheel chair Anthony had ed drive me and my fiancé and son right to the front of my car to get my stuff given my condition I don’t know what these other reviews are from people but they are very fair kind and helpful I must freeway towing isn’t as bad as everyone is saying yes fees may be high but what tow yard fees aren’t high

My truck was towed after a breakdown and officer called them to take my truck. They towed me left me in there yard
I asked them how was I supposed to pay and had no answer
Two hrs later they tell me they are charging 500 per hour and counting, enseño up to de 2750, the time frame would have been way less if they would have charged me sooner

The worst towing company and management team in the business, these are straightforward crooks, beware of the owner name Vincent… he’s got a scam which involves Officers from CHP where they impound your vehicle and then don’t even want to talk to you so they can start charging by the day, they also don’t have a mechanic on site and determine your vehicle “out of service” just by looking at it, all this is possible with the support of the local CHP.
This guy so crazy,he work so slowly,keep talking,keep walking, and he charge me 3000$,just towing my truck from the runway,only about 30miles,he told me need 3hr come and back.don’t call this guy for towing.he will charge you big money.
My car Hot towing yesterday for parking in front of my house for more than 72hous I have tags 2023 and insurance the open the car without my concent they broken the driver door handle and to top it off the stole the radio at their yard I had to pay 500 to get it out for one they carefully this guys are thiefs.
