What clients say about M&R Recycling in Jackson (CA)
They don't just take regular glass bottles for recycling they also take green glass bottles (i.e. wine/champagne/beer) as well. Including aluminum cans, plastic bottles, clear glass bottles, etc. Services is good, payouts are comprable to other recycling places. Closed on Sunday's.
Count your money before you leave. I sold 18 bucks worth of cans. Took the money and put it in my pocket. Later pulled it out and it was 8 bucks. No accusations, just be vigilant.
I do this weekly and this is the first place ever to tell me my cans were too crushed to take. And what I'd normally gotten80 to 90 for I got 65. Never again
I went there today 4/24/25 and was turned away they said that my cans were smashed too much! I never heard of that my entire life. I guess next they’re gonna want you to wash out your cans! I’m never going back to that place again!!! They are rude
The people that work at M&R are so nice and they’re fair. They’re helpful, they’re kind, and they worked their butts off. Thank you M&R.

Great guys,clean facility and very fair prices paid. I save my heavy duty trash bags after I dump out the cans and give them to the attendant,so they can get used again.
I go here, and attendant is always nice, but I wonder how accurate the figures are because attendant uses a calculator from the eighties to calculate them.
I'm old and disabled and arrived at the center just before closing time. My Dodge Ram was packed full both inside and out. Without hesitation these folks recognized how pathetic I am and were courteous and helpful without telling me they were closed as most places would do. They may not always pay the most but their courtesy and willingness makes up for it. Thank you for your kindness and help :) .
This is the only place i recycle!! The couple that works there is so nice and friendly and really fair and honest with their paying ame prices. I trust them completely and will not recycle anywhere else. Good job guys. Keep up the great work. You both have excellent customer service!!
Super Nice. Very consistent with weights and measurements. After some very bad experience at a place in Auburn. Santiago and his life are a breath of fresh air.
'20-6 1st time customer & review accompanying elder relative as the driver:
-- While parking is not sheltered, the weigh-in area does have overhead shelter from the elements, but still outdoor so dress accordingly. Also, sloped parking, so be mindful if have a mobility impediment.
-- Staff was laid back, but helpful and attentive. The client flow steady.
-- For a recycler, the place was clean and spacious.
-- Cash issued for items turned in.
Got there at 4:52. Told it was closed. I said, the sign says OPEN. He said, we close at 5:00. I said, it's not 5:00. He said, I close 5 minutes before 5:00. I had very little recycling. It would have cost him a whole two minutes. What is It? Do they close at 5:00 or 4:55? He told me both.
