am writing this review to warn other drivers and companies about my experience with this tow yard in Arkansas. After my vehicle was stopped by the Department of Transportation, it was taken to this tow yard. When I went to retrieve my equipment, I discovered that approximately $150 worth of diesel fuel was missing from my truck. The auxiliary diesel tank was completely empty, contaminated with water, and the fuel cap was left off. The police did not remove any fuel, and the last fuel purchase made by my driver was about $200 in Arkansas, shortly before the tow. Based on these facts, I believe the fuel was taken while the vehicle was in the custody of this tow yard. In addition to that, I was shorted $17 in change when paying to retrieve my equipment, and no effort was made to correct it. What made this situation even more disturbing was a phone conversation with the owner/operator, who made inappropriate and discriminatory comments about my LLC and told me I should “stay off Arkansas roads,” making assumptions about my legal status. These comments were unprofessional, offensive, and completely unacceptable. I am legally in this country and fully entitled to operate my business and exercise my rights. This review is my first step in raising awareness. I will also be filing formal complaints with the appropriate authorities. If you value your equipment, fuel, and being treated with basic respect, document everything carefully if you ever deal with this tow yard.

This tow company was extremely rude, unsympathetic, and flat out lied to me! My husband was in a serious accident, that was NOT his fault. He did not ask for or cause this situation. When Newcomb arrived at the scene, my son and I immediately told him we had cash and a credit card. We asked if we could pay him, on the spot, to take my husband's truck to a location less than 3 miles away. He would not even tell me a price, and danced around it until I gave in. He said it WOULDN'T cost us ANYTHING for him to tow it 15 miles away to his yard, bc my husband was not the one at fault. Fast forward 6 days, when I went to get my husband's personal belongings. My name is on the title, and I had that title with me. They still refused to let me get any of my husband's things. They told me I would have to pay for the towing and storage in order to get anything out of the truck. Which is NOT what he said at the scene. I contacted our insurance company (bc the driver at fault did not have insurance) and they said they've never heard of a tow company not allowing ppl to get their personal belongings. Basically, what this tells me is that Newcomb is keeping my husband's personal belongings unless WE pay them. Yet, at the scene I was told we wouldn't have to pay anything, AFTER we offered to pay him right then and there. What do my husband's sunglasses, earbuds, and bandanas have to do with your outrageously priced towing and storage fees? Nothing. We told them where we wanted the vehicle towed and they insisted on taking it to their yard. Now, they are pretty much holding his personal belongings for ransom. Maybe if you hadn't judged me at the scene, assumed we didn't have enough money, and taken me up on the offer to tow it where we requested, you would have found out I had $500 cash AND a credit card in my pocket. I have the means to pay your ridiculous fees Newcomb. At this point however, because you lied about it not costing us ANYTHING, that will be exactly how much we pay you. I know you'll still get paid, but it will be far less than what we were willing to pay you. You will not get a dime from us. You shouldn't mislead people. You took advantage of a moment, and because I was still rattled from my husband's accident I didn't have the mindset to think clearly. You knew that and didn't miss a beat. You saw my vulnerability and took full advantage. I have no doubt I am absolutely not the first person you've treated this way. I'm sure I won't be the last. I seriously doubt that I would have been spoken to the way I was, or treated so disrespectfully, if I were a man. I also don't believe I would have been given the run around and lied to about money and payment, if I were a man. That's the impression I got when I came into your office. When you spoke to me you never stepped around the corner to say it to my face. You just rudely told me I could not have his things from the other side of a wall. Newcomb is an example of a company that thinks nothing of their customers, and only cares about collecting a pay check. Yes, we all have mouths to feed and have to get paid for the job we do. I understand times are tough for so many of us. However, that's not a free pass to lie, disrespect, mislead, or talk down to people. Newcomb didn't want to take our offer bc they thought they'd get more from insurance, not knowing the at fault driver had none. They have denied us my husband's property bc they want money from an insurance company that does not exist. That is called greed, and it's a poor business model. I have a feeling when we finally get access to what is rightfully ours, it's not all there. I am willing to bet not one of those men would allow someone to deny them access to anything that belonged to them, no matter the reason. Do better Newcomb! Have a little more respect, understanding, sympathy for someone who was put in this situation at no fault of their own, (a.k.a the victim) and try to hide your greed and sexism a little better

Awful company. My 75 year old grandmother was in a bad wreck. The city of Benton Police did not give her the opportunity to call her own towing company. Which is already kind of fishy, my grandma’s nephew owns a shop less than a mile from the accident and he could have towed her but I guess the City & Newcomb have some sort of deal worked out. The next day my grandma wanted to go get some of her personal belongings out of her vehicle on Newcomb’s lot. My mother took her to go get her personal belongings. Newcomb would not allow my grandmother to get her things without a police report. This caused my mom to get very upset with them, my mom ended up calling the police to get the police report from the accident. When the officer came to the site to issue the report Newcomb trespassed my mom from the property. How are you going to treat the elderly like that? Don’t go here. Stay away from Newcomb.

Very greedy company, my car got towed and I asked for a same day release and was told no. Once I got the vehicle they upcharged me a few hundred for her reasoning of no. Lesson learned.

I initially was quite upset with my experience of being towed and coming up with the ticket to get my vehicle, but I calmly asked for a bit of mercy regarding the final price, and Newcomb's people delivered a price reduction that truly made my life much simpler.

We broke down on our way through Benton on a Friday afternoon, and were stranded on the side of the road with a 20 foot travel trailer. I called 2 other wreckers that said it would be 3 hours or more, and was fortunate enough to reach Dakota with Newcomb Towing. He was there in 15 minutes, loaded up our truck on the flatbed, and hooked the trailer up behind. He even called a 2nd wrecker to help transport my family because we couldn't all fit in one. He dropped us off at the nearest Chevrolet dealership, and mentioned that Newcomb could tow the trailer to a campsite for us if it was going to take a while to repair our vehicle, so we had them come back and move the trailer to a state park for us the next morning. All around a great experience in the midst of an awful day. Thank you Dakota! I didn't get the name of the second driver, but a big thanks to him as well.

If you are anywhere near Little Rock, AR and you find yourself in a ditch (or just in need of a tow) I would highly recommend NEWCOMB Towing. Their service was above and beyond when I needed help the most. Their staff was courteous, respectful, and friendly (they didn’t even laugh at me when I told them they could). At the same time I was calling for help I found that the local police also called Newcomb Towing to come help me too. At first Dakota was sent with a HUGE tow truck and we tried various ideas to get me out of the ditch I found myself in while towing my RV. When those ideas failed Dakota called for help and several other drivers and even the owner, Clint, came running. After 3.5 hours we had success with NO DAMAGE to my home. I will always remember Newcomb Towing and all the help they provided and how they worked with local police to help a girl in need. FIVE STARS ARE NOT ENOUGH!!! ********************************

On the side of the road with broken tools. Tried to get help from the police who never sent anyone out. Got us out of a huge bind. Were super kind, quick, and restore my faith that their are still good, honest, hardworking people in the world. Grateful for y’all.

Terrible company. A semi had parts fly off and hit car busting my oil pan. Called a few wrecker companies and they were able to get my car off the hwy the quickest. As soon as the driver showed I informed him my oil pan is busted and it has no oil. My wife told them when we called as well. The driver acknowledge me telling him. It was outside so guess he decided he did not want to work that hard using the chains so he gets in and starts my newer car up and drives it on the rollback. I am screaming at him to shut it off and all he says is oh you will be fine. This company should not tow your vehicle cause they do not care of the condition of your vehicle. This is a very serious matter. My car is new and now the dealership is going to have for a longer time now because he ran the motor with no oil on it. DO NOT RECOMMEND. Called the main office spoke to someone third in command I explained all this to him, he said he wrote it all down to pass to the owner and no one touches back with me. Called back today and now it is just call the office again so they do not care. I gave them days to make this right but they do not care.

Excellent customer service. We requested a tow, and in the 30 min. wait time, our car ended up starting. We called to cancel the tow at the same time they showed up. They were very polite and “glad” we didn’t need them after all. No charge or sneakiness about the now- unnecessary tow at 8:45 at night.

I used Newcomb towing when I had to tow a couple of different cars in the same day. They are amazing! They’re SUPER affordable, like surprisingly so…they were also quick, helpful, friendly and reliable. I really can’t say enough good about this company. Brandy was a pleasure to work with. I’ll use them forever and always when I’m needing something towed. Seriously, do not hesitate to call these folks, trust me you’ll be glad you did! They’re wonderful!

My man Joey came out to my house and got the job down very fast! Joey was very professional and knows exactly how to get the job down! Thanks again to Newcomb Wrecker and Recovery! I’ll recommend them to anyone!

Very quick and efficient! I was traveling from out of state in the Benton area when my car broke down. Not knowing the area very well, and having no one I knew near, Newcomb towing made it easy for me to get my car to a repair shop that would be open the following day (Saturday). Everyone I was in contact with at Newcombs was very polite and extremely helpful!

I was told that it would be only 30 minutes and $60 for the tow. Not so bad right? Well after waiting over an hour and half the tow truck finally showed up and I had to pay $69.72. Extra because I didn't have cash. Didn't care he was late.

Our Roadside Assistance was going to tow our car, but leave us stranded, after it died on the interstate. We are states away from home and have 2 young kids with us. Rodney, with Newcomb, came to our rescue, saw us on the side of the road, and brought the whole family and our car to the nearest dealership. This guy and his company will treat you like one of their own. If you’re passing through or in the area, and need help, call HIM! Thank you again Rodney (Cornbread)! We will forever be grateful for your help!

Great folks! Fair prices! Fast and caring service! I’ve used to nice people 4 times over many years and they are wonderful! When you’re a woman by herself when something happens with your vehicle and you’re sitting out in the heat or cold or rain it’s nice to know you can count on these good, kind, fair, and caring people. They treat folks like you’re supposed to, like your should treat your childhood Sunday school teacher!

I was on my way to Hot springs and blew a flat on interstate 30. I don’t know the area, and after 20 minutes of calling different places Newcomb came to the rescue. They were very patient with me as I poorly described where I was, they kept things professional and helped get me back on the road quickly. I highly recommend them!

Absolute life saver! My husband locked his keys in his car, and was calling around trying to get someone to help him out and thankfully Newcomb towing answered us. A nice gentleman answered the phone and my husband explained the situation and even though we were in Little Rock and this is a Benton company he still came out to assist and unlocked the car! Thank you so much, very fast and easy!! Great people!! If I could do more stars, I would! I would recommend them to anyone!
