Been coming here for years. Good people all around. Employees all appear to be long term so they must treat them well which is a good sign as well. Efficient unload the metal as fast as can be physically unloaded which makes the wait short no matter how many people are in line. Best prices around from my experience and even though they shoot you in and out light lightning they are all friendly which anyone that scraps consistently will tell you is very uncommon in this industry .Its the only place I will take my scrap to and I live over an hour away and pass by at least 5 other established scrap yards on the way to them. If your on the fence give them a shot you wont be dissapointed from taking the chance Ive never been. 5 out of 5 stars easy much better than the alternatives.
If you're a truck driver coming in on 77, it's easiest to take the road north of the facility right by the fence. Enter through the gate on the right. Go all the way to the South side of the building. You'll pass the docks on the right. Check in at the window. You will then scale in, go around the front of the building to the back and back in to one of the docks you passed coming in. The rest is the same as any other recycle place you go to.
went to today to take batteries there…i won’t be back there anymore , the pay was awful and drove all the way from arlington , tn wasn’t worth my time or gas june 19, 2024
Ppl are rude, I'm done surrendering my id to a bitter woman in a shack. Don't need my id to hold until they pay me. Poorly operated and managed company. Very unprofessional.
Beware of the weight of your tare. Not only did they screw us over on the weight of the copper, brass etc, but they charged us for a 30 gallon drum that had nothing in it at all that weighed 42 instead of the 5 plastic buckets that all and together might have weighed 15lbs. They weighed 42lbs of plastic bucket times 4 which made it 168lbs against our true weight which ended up costing us about $300-$400 which is half of what our pay should have been. CROOKS!!!!! Then on top of everything else you have to pay an ATM to get your money, which I've never encountered at a scrap yard before because all others pay cash money in hand.
They are great! I haveBeen going there for about 5 years when ever my boss gives me the copper or brass ect from the jobs we do they are nice and the employees are so helpful thank you!!!
It was nice. Fast friendly, except the lady at the second window. She seemed a little cranky. After driving through went inside for pay and we happened to be coming in as a prayer circle formed. My boyfriend and I didn't know what the prayer was for at that time. We both stopped and held that prayer with them. We both mentioned later that we courgette sadness in these people for this loss. We came ti the first window with that lady behind it crying. Neither of us said anything, yet I could feel her pain through the bullet proof glass. As we came around to the ATM for pay a gentle man informed us that the prayer was for a co-workers life that was lost to covid. I hope is family can feel the love ? and hurt these workers have for them and the life lost to covid today. We sure did. May the good Lord bless the family and friends of this, obviously very loved and now forever missed, gentleman and to all the family's who've experienced a tragic loss in their lives to to any reson Thank you to those in that prayer circle today. You filed my heart with joy.
I checked the hours of operation Friday night and got up early Saturday morning ,checked the website again and it said OPEN TILL 4 PM. I loaded my scrap wire and drove the 50 miles only to discover that the place was closed. If I had not had other business in the area to attend to that day I would have been really ticked off. UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE SO THAT PEOPLE DON'T WASTE THEIR TIME AND HIGH PRICED GAS ON WEEKENDS ATTEMPTING TO DO BUSINESS WITH YOU.
Tried to rip me off by offering a very low amount (15) for my factory/OEM medium sized foreign catalytic converter. I won't do business with a company that won't abide by the scrap value. They offer what they feel they cant get by with. I pulled up with the cat in a box and before I could even take the heat shield off to have it inspected for size and factory markings he was ready to offer a low amount. When I asked what he was basing his evaluation off of he started to stutter. Im not ignorant to the criteria to for assessing value. I'll find somewhere else to recycle.
Also I understand the nature of a junk yard but it would be best for the customer if they would keep the driving paths of the recycling vehicles a free of debris that causes flat tires. Ive gotten a flat tire on 1/2 visits
Good and fast recycling! If you only want to recycle and don't want the money for it just tell them and they will take it with a paper filled out so they can make sure it wasn't stolen. Good prices on the metal!
