Mormon Lake / Lake Mary is such a beautiful area to spend time at and get out of the City. I drive up to this area once a Week. The entire area up there is amazing.
Just a big meadow right now. Over the last 60 years I've seen it pretty much full as well as completely dry. It's a natural lake, so that's just the way it is. The area is beautiful.
How sad...
I went camping there once back in the mid 70's.
It was beautiful. And it had fish too. I can't believe what it's become. I guess nothing last forever.
What beautiful scenery. We drove to Northern Arizona through Payson. This time we decided to go west to Flaggstaff. I never knew this area existed. It reminded me of the Arapaho basin in Northern Colorado.
Oh man that lake used to have water in it, or at least I think it's the same as the one I remembering from my childhood in the eighties... Thanks for the views of my reviews, and I will be back
This is a beautiful tranquil place with trails, wildlife, and an old west feel. There's even a fishing pond great for kids and a public petting zoo. A true gentleman in the desert. Do yourself a favor and take a trip to Mormon Lake!
Wonderful mountain lake that is slowly turning into a mountain meadow as the lake basin fills with sediment and the annual addition of organic materials.
