Jay removed a frozen screw from a gas range burner for me. ( Not exactly in his wheelhouse) He spent a lot of time and took it as a challenge to resolve the problem. He ended up having to drill and end mill out out the screw. He then re tapped it for me. He has a great attitude and work ethic. I highly recommend him.
I would avoid Jays Auto Repair.
Made an 11am appointment to have our air conditioner serviced. We were waiting around for over 3 hours for Jay to get to it. Only thing he did was raise the hood of our car and it took 3 hours for him to do that! We asked for the car back so we could take it to Speedy Auto Repair. Speedy did the entire job in about 30 minutes.
Jay is an awesome person and an even better mechanic. Very knowledgeable and reasonably priced. No other shop can come close to his expertise for the money..
jay did a great job repairing my rear differential.....replaced 4 bearings and seals....totally reasonable on labor costs.....4runner is working great....he let me see the differential and explained the work.....he's busy , so give him time....i had to borrow a car for 10 days.....but he did a great job....he only replaced the parts that needed replacing.....other places wanted to replace the wheel bearings/hub assemblies which are $500 each...another place said they couldn't get parts ,which was BS...they just didn't want to be bothered with the job...jay really knows differentials...
Jay has a top rated shop, professional as I have ever seen, very knowledgeable in all things mechanic, he does what he says he will do for the price he says. And by the time he says. Why would anyone go elsewhere?
$60 an hour! [cash only]. Jay got me in and out quickly for much less than other shops estimated over the phone. One place wanted over four times as much!
