What clients say about Bob's Used Motorcycle Parts in Phoenix (AZ)

Bob's Motorcycles and there employees are eager to help with pulling the parts you need or answering any questions you have, Unfortunately Bob's is going out of business in just a few short weeks.

I just want to say I went down to Bob's used cycles today and they were so kind they help me get a brake line for my bike The price was really reasonable they were knowledgeable I really felt like I want to go back there again and get other things attitude is really important to me and they had a great attitude

Don’t waste your time, I just drove from the west valley arrived at 5:30 and it says they close at 6 but wouldn’t let me in the side yard to look for a part because 5:30 was too late.

My first time dealing with this company and the guys went out of their way to help me out and get me the right part and shipped it the same day so if you need a motorcycle part and can't find it i strongly suggest giving Bob's a try I'll definitely be a repeat customer

DONT EVEN BOTHER. This place was solid for almost 20 years for me. The last 4 year I hadn't been in town but continued to push all of my clients to this business because they used to take care of you. I called all day to ask if they still had side by side stuff. No one was awnsering. So I drove an hour to go see what the deal was. I get in there and it's a lounge spot. I ring their line standing I the store and not a single employee even flinched to grab the phone. Only one employee was even helping an customer. WASTE OF TIME. The guy with his hat bill bent bent back is the only worth anything there. Super knowledgeable and knows your needs before you do. Everything else is a lost cause. The establishment is 1/6th the size it used to be and it's not even 1% as hood as it used to be as a community.

Great place amazing service couldn't ask for a better place to find what you need with great prices. Service was better than what you get in most store. Highly recommend this place.

Bobs is the place for all your motorcycle, dirtbike, atv, or whatever you ride needs. I love this place because the staff is knowledgeable and go the extra mile for you. They more concerned about you getting your bike running than just selling you parts. Eric is the man. And the younger short Mexican dude there at the counter with the goat tee is totally awesome.

Best place for anything you need. They helped me keep my 86 shadow up and running. I needed a fuel pump and literally no where else in town had it and bobs came in clutch once again. They helped me with this bike and the last two I’ve had. Prices have gone up a little but so has everything. 10/10 recommend and am very satisfied with them.

If I could give zero stars I absolutely would. I work in the industry and am super disappointed that I was put on hold immediately and sat on the phone at 3:25 PM all the way to 4:05PM on Sat, FEB 10th 2024, listening to everyone talk to one another and then hang up on me without even helping me or asking me what it is I was looking for. Poor customer service. Makes me want to start my own business selling used motorcycle parts and put bobs out of business. Yall suck.

Been coming to bobs since I was a kid. Left there today with a really nice front end for a good price. Why go on eBay come here.

All I heard was good things about this place. First off it’s a junk yard in every sense of the word. Took 2.5 hours to get tires put on my bike. And the genius’s put the tire rolling the wrong direction. Bob may have had it 40 years ago. It’s long gone.

Great place to get almost any part you need at a great price. I highly recommend them but do have patience with them because they are short staffed and sometimes aren't able to pick up the phone so just call again until you reach them.

You need it? Bob's got it. Tail lights to knobby treads for whatever your older or collectible steel horse might be. I've been shopping for used parts at Bob's since 1991, and in 3 decades they have never let me down. Not once. Cannot recommend more for builders and restorers, and even the rest of us home mechanic types.

IF YOUR BIKE IS DOWN, AND U NEED TO GET BACK ON THE ROAD....U BETTER GET HERE ASAP!! these guys are legit, any lil thing you might need they will have it. They will answer questions, and are very reasonably priced for being available on hand and not some internet shipping. Ive repaired 2 bikes here now during very vital times and great prices and good service.

I was looking for a piston, valve keepers and rocker arms for a ninja 250 and they had them. Great prices too.

You can't buy anything from this place unless the owners son gives you permission to buy it and you will wait three and a half hours before talking to Eric. The place is a mess most places organized stuff by maker at least Yamaha Suzuki etc there's no rhyme or reason you're only allowed in the front yard. Your time is more valuable order online it's cheaper as well this place won't have the parts you need they'll just tell you to talk to Eric your time maybe find it

Yes it hard to find out who works there and some people our more knowledgeable than others but overall very great cool place, the owner son, went beyond and above to help me. He found everything i was looking for and even went out of his way to find nice looking set of mirror, frame, light bulbs & everything else etc. i recommend asking for him when you go there just say the “owner son you would like to talk too” because a few other worker there didn’t even bother to help. But still 5 star because of the son owner who really went above and beyond to help me be satisfied with my purchases. For that I thank him I love my bike!

Overall I had an informative and guided visit today here at Bob's Used Motorcycle Parts. I was super eager to attend after finding out that this is one of the biggest used Motorcycle yards on the West Coast! And boy was I pleased! #twobigthumbsup! For sure.

Not helpful. Never responds. Doesn't pick up the phone despite multiple calls, and when they do finally awnser they are clueless and unwilling to help. Definitely a last last LAST resort kind of place. Do not suggest in any way, shape, or form. I'm positive majority of the people giving them good reviews are their friends. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This place is busy, so be patient. If you're nice they will always go out of their way to get you what you need. If you're not... they'll still try... so be nice. It's kinda amazing, that in a place with so much stuff, they can find a carburetor set for a 25 year old motorcycle or whatever you need, be nice to your young daughter who's excited about motorcycles at a young age and also be willing to cut you a break if you have some good parts to trade. I wish I knew them well enough to know all their names and mention them. I came from out of state and left with what I needed. Be patient and you will get what you need. Bobs is the best!!! And the shop cat is cool!

There is no shortage of parts here. Huge outside areas full of bikes and lots of parts inside. If you need something, they probably have it.

Overall I'm satisfied with my visit. The place has a HUGE selection of anything I could think to ask for. It just seems the techs are a bit short with the attitude. To start I delt with a very nice gentleman at the counter, I assume this was the owner. I came looking for some tires for my newly acquired cbr 250. Again I just got back into riding after an accident. It was cheap but has it's issues as any $1000 bike will. The gentleman was very helpful and pointed me upstairs. I couldn't find the size I needed and HAD to have a tire. Asked to poke around the used tires. The gentleman picked me a fairly new front tire, went to the front and asked about the price, $70 out the door. Great. They tell me to bring the bike to the front, no problem. I put it where it's out of the way and the "tire guy" yells at me "AYE, RIGHT EAR!". Ok.... I'll push it over "air". My girlfriend and I poke around the front for a while as they change the tire. They were very quick. As the 2 tire techs return with the tire, they tell me in very broken english (I am semi bi-lingual) something about armor all. The smaller fellow translates what I couldn't understand. He said "don't put armor all on the tire, you'll go down." Ok good advice, if I had put armor all on the tire. 1; I didn't put armor all on the tire 2; I just bought the bike 3; I had no idea people cornered past the contact patch and on the the side wall. I mean I'm an ok rider, call me a chicken, but I've never passed the lip of the contact patch. I ask one of the counter fellows about some forks, mine are bent. The guy gives me the phone number to a buisness that straightens forks. He had said it would be cheaper than buying a used set. Thanks again for that. I pay and the owner has to walk away so his son steps in and he's very professional and personal. Finishes up with the number of the place I'll be having my forks straightened. On the way out the smaller fellow that translated earlier, in a very condescending and agitated tone says "your forks all are bent." And shakes his head. Again, I just got the bike and it seems like he thinks I've done all of this myself to screw up his day. I just want to put this bike together. However I don't have all the cash to do this all at once so I'm doing the things that will keep the bike off the road first, then moving to the comfort issues. Maybe someone needs to take the smaller guy out for ice cream and make him a mixtape. I do feel for the poor guy in the heat all day. I do a very similar job myself at a tow yard and understand his frustrations. Because you're having a bad day, you can't take that out on a customer. As I go to get my bike and push it from 'over ear" back to the road, a red Chevy Sonic with Sonora plates parks almost on my rear tire in the middle of the travel lane of a parking lot and leaves very little room for myself to exit. Instead of riding out like I had planed, I'm pushing my bike out. As I'm pushing the bike out I look at my white fender, 4 nice clear greasy finger prints. Not a huge deal because it is an older bike and not the nicest thing in the world, but it is MINE and I do try to take the best care of it that I can. In the end I got what I set out to get and will get the forks fixed cheaper than replacing them, so for that I'm happy. I will defiantly be back, ill just bring the guys in the back some ice cream.

John and the guys here are extremely helpful and very customer service oriented. I had several questions about a motorcycle my husband and I just purchased and they made sure every question we had was answered and in detail. I just purchased a 2002 Honda VTX 1800 for my husband today and I love it.

Visit during their slow times. I needed a large part and didn't want to pay shipping, so I did what I swore I would never do... I went back to Bob's. It was amazing. 5 stars. Helpful and priced right. So why 3 stars? 3 stars because the first time I reviewed here they got 1 star. They actually should have received less than that. It was terrible. Horrible, rude, overpriced waste of my time. So exactly the same people were there on both occasions. This last time they cared about their customers when the previous time we were bothering them. Perhaps they were having a bad day or this last time they were having a good one. Whatever. If they are great the next time I go there, I will revise this review again.

Straight Forward? This by far is one of the largest cycle salvage yards I've ever seen. Unfortunately, that's also a problem. They are way under staffed for the amount of product they have causing them to lack a little in their customer service however, once they can get to you, they know their stuff. They can be a little short with you due to how busy they get. As far as pricing, I have to agree with some of the other comments of "A Bit Pricey For Used Parts". I needed a rear turn signal light and their price used was $40. I found four local cycle shops that had the same light for $9.95 and on line for a complete light set of four for $4.00. I suggest if you really need it now or, if you need service, these guys are good. If you have time and patience and know what you're looking for, check on line. It will definitely be cheaper......
