The hours of operation end at 4:30 not 5:00 as stated in the Google Maps description. Otherwise, fine place to jettison scrap instead of giving it to city recycling for free.
Shane has taken the company to New levels of success. He runs the company with an iron fist, but talks with you on one with ease and respect. He represents what Davis Metals is about. Good service, better deals and worthy as a partner or supplier....

These guys are crooks. I bring bright and shiny copper and they pay me off with #2 clean tube copper. I should've made close to $100 today for 27lbs of bright and shiny but only made $54 for clean tube copper.
They have really good prices. They also have aluminum remnants that they sell by the pound. The new steel sales guy i talked to was very nice to me and I saved a lot of money buying an aluminum remnant.
I do know that they can be slow, so call a head and they'll have the order bundled and ready to go. Their parking is kinda terrible, but everyone works with everyone else.
I have been going there often on for years. And every time I swear I'll never go back. I don't know what you guys are doing to get these reviews but I know that they're not factual. Because every time I'm there everybody leaves p***** off because of the poor service and lowest rip off price in the western states. Basically all these reviews show you is that you can buy good publicity but you can't fake the customer service

I needed a specific size of wide angle iron to use as a threshold on my cabin. They cut it to exact specifications and loaded it in my vehicle. It's just the perfect look that I hoped for. I had quick service and got the product I wanted at a price that met my budget.
Pretty nice people. I used to get a discount or even pretty good prices there. Now for some reason they've been charging me what feels like list price.
Because they raised the prices on me for reasons are known, I'm getting most of my metal from another local place. I save about 20 to 30% over there. Sad. I like this place but it's just a bit too expensive anymore.
I've been buying from Dave since the 80s. Anytime I need something I always go see Dave. The last couple times I went July 2022 Dave was on vacation. I talked to the other guys and let them know I've always seen Dave when I need something. They made sure to handle what I needed. I got everything I needed and the job turned out great. 40 years and I keep going back. Thank you Dave and the crew at Davis for the help and service over the years. I have found everyone at Davis Metals to be very helpful with any requests I have had. If they do not have something in stock they tend to get it in quickly. If something gets missed in delivery they are able to get it back out to me the next day. Never have had any major issues. I continue to use them as my main supplier for all of my metal needs.
5/10/2022 - After today I will never go back to Davis to scrap my metals. I have been going for years now and after leaving today I felt completely disrespected (by Zane, a weigh station worker) after I inquired about the current price of steel being paid and how it was being determined. Steel prices are up and yet the prices being paid were very low. I asked for an explanation and Zane said "I don't have time for this" and walked away. I will never go to Davis again. Prior to this, all my metal went here.

Great service, competitive pricing, and great inventory selection! Not only do we use Davis for our recycling needs but we also use them for new steel orders. If they don't have it they can get it quick. We are lucky to have resources like this in the PHX area.
The scrapyard is disappointing I just came today October the 14th of 2021 to recycle some aluminum material that I normally do and the same quantity, the chubby black guy is a total rip off he paid me 25 cents and come to first d out he said it was all dirty aluminum when it was clean. He then proceeded to say that if I didn't like it I can load everything backup in my trailer and re weigh it again Dirty way of doing business I will never bring recycling there again please please take my word whoever reads this review do not go there
Been buying new metal and recycling the left overs here for 20 years, a family based business with roots in the valley that I am proud to support. From ornamental iron to wide flange beams and custom shapes they have been my go to without question. Operating a shop 40 miles from downtown has challenges and steel delivery was never one of them. Usually having next day delivery or same day if early enough I could count on them to deliver. Also being involved in a outdoor sportsmans group and receiving donations and sponsorship from a local company proves they are here for the community as well! I like this place. It took me a minute to figure it out having only been IMS in the past, but once I realized to just call ahead and put what I wanted on willcall it got much easier.
The people are nice enough and I saved a bunch of money.
I have always called ahead and gotten what I asked for. The price never changed from phone to pick up time. The guys in the yard are busy but handle my needs promptly. I appreciate they will sell new steel in small amounts to a guy like me. They have always treated me well.
My employer has been using Davis Salvage's steel scrap for years and I have to say they have really delivered great service especially compared to their competitors and considering the tough scrap metal market in 2018-19. Teresa and her team have been very responsive with service requests, quotes and getting us our weight/payment statements. She is always helpful. My employer had some recent scrap projects that prompted me to stop by Davis Salvage's Phoenix yard to meet with Shane and AJ. They had a can-do attitude and were eager to help in any way they could. I highly recommend Davis Salvage. These guys are top-notch and run a tight ship.
Quote you a fair price over the phone then when you show up they pay much less. Overpriced steel compared to the guys on Van Buren...almost 2 times more in fact! Rude customer service. The old bald guy in the office is the worst one. I won't be back

Where do I start. Great prices on new steel, if you order over a certain amount they will deliver for free. To top it off the delivery driver, I believe his name is Rich, was very professional and went above and beyond on delivery. This place is Awesome! I head up the robotics team for my high school and I went in one day and had no idea what I was looking for. The guys at the counter where great and very informative. We will be using them for our next engineering project.
Being in the automotive repair business I have clients and sometimes it is time to recycle those old vehicles. I have been referring them down to Davis Salvage for over 5 years now and have always been pleased with how they handle my customers and the fair and honest prices they give them.
It is also nice that they come and get the cars if needed since many are scrap because they do not run. These guys are great when you need a vehicle salvaged and we will keep using them in the future!
i was very exited when i called in to get a price on some metal i was in the market for, when i heard all the metal i needed to buy was going to be 84$ before tax i was jazzed when i drove all they way down to the yard to buy my order the guy at the counter told me the total was going to be 134$ half way thru my order, i was shocked. when i made it aware to this sells man he laughed and said he had no idea who told me that my order would be 84$, needless to say i drove down from west valley i was not leaving empty handed so i bought what i could, and it took the guys in the yard over a half hour to get me my order.. was not impressed
This place rips you off! I brought in 100 pounds of solid aluminum rails and they tried to pay me $20. I told them to shove it and took it to All Metal Recycling and got paid $180. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Not to mention, the guys that work there are all meth addicts with scabs all over their arms and face and they are not very friendly. I'm surprised this place is still in business.
