I only take cans here. The 3 times I have went here was very... umm.. weird.1st time, I had no clue where to go. They told me my stainless, aluminum was scrap iron, my copper was brass, after arguing a little I convinced them I knew better. The 2nd time they didn't want to take a waterheater, said "its not clean enough"(somethingabout being waterlogged). 3rd time i just took cans and it was a better experience.

They give you a good deal. The drive way needs to be filled in. Or put some drains in the mud holes are deep. But they give you a fair deal on your scrap

We have two major recycling places here in town. This is by far the best, and there is no contest. They are friendly and helpful. I felt like I was being treated as a valued customer whose business they wanted. This is the exact opposite of what the other recycler in town treats us like. I was given fair market value for the material I was taking in. They gave me the best price they could, based on what I had, and made the process so very simple. They also require a hardhat in the steel yard for safety, which I also appreciate. I will never go anywhere else again. Thankyou Liberty, you provide a valuable service to us all.

Very good customer service everyone was alert and watching there surroundings so as to not hurt anyone. This was the case on both sides of the road very professional. I read a comment where somebody said they scaled there copper or brass before they went and that timersons or liberties scales were off on the the light side. I did my own experiment on two seprate occasion and both times there scales were lil off from mine heavier than what my scales said by almost a whole pound and this was months apart so that being said love the place love the people yall are doing a fine job thank u

For copper, aluminum, and other non ferrous metals ... back up to loading dock across street. For scrap iron go across the street and use scale on the right. Must have own hard hat.

Highly suggest to visit here rather than Tuscaloosa Iron & Metal Co. I've always known this place as Termerson's, off Greensboro Ave. I went to the other place and noticed a huge difference in customer service and payment.

It is a good place but the parking to unload cans NEEDS to be better. I’ve been told by more than one person and seen for myself this place cons people. Their scales are off big time, especially on the cans and copper scales. Weigh your stuff on certified scales before you go here.
