Ruben was absolutely the best! After a bad experience with an out of town dealership, he turned things around for us and had us sold on an explorer and out the door in no time! I purchased a Ford Bronco Big Bend from Tuscaloosa Ford and I received red carpet service from the first phone to obtaining the keys. Marcus Pernell provided top notch customer service, extremely attentive, responsive, and made the car buying process run seamless and without a hitch. My husband, Charles and I have been looking for a Honda ridgeline for almost a year online. We found the perfect truck that met our requirements a 2022 HPD with only 50,000 miles on it at the Tuscaloosa Ford dealership. We called and spoke with Ruben Banks and decided to drive almost 6 hours to Tuscaloosa Alabama to purchase. Upon arrival, we met Sean who greeted us and made sure to let us know that he was available if we had any questions. We proceeded to work with Ruben Banks, he was a phenomenal Customer service /Sales rep. He was very kind, friendly and patient. He made sure all of our questions were answered before handing it off to Chase Heptinstall over in financing. Chase Went above and beyond to make sure that everything was explained in detail. He was thorough in his knowledge not only of the purchase process but extended warranties, gap, protection, etc. we left feeling not only that we received the best product at the best price, but we purchased it from the best Ford dealership in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Tuscaloosa Ford did great getting car fixed faster than they first said. They checked me in very nicely. Got the part quicker than they said it would be there. Got everything done in 1 day instead of 3-4 days they said it would take. Was very happy with them for getting things done quickly since I needed my car back ASAP. You would enjoy using Tuscaloosa Ford!

Do not get your vehicle serviced here.
I brought my truck in to get the transmission replaced due to a CDF drum failure and paid around $8000 for a new transmission. The invoice they gave me does not have prices on it, and just says they cleaned the transmission fluid tray and changed the fluid. It does not say they replaced the transmission at all, and now no one is answering my calls.
It took a month for them to even get started because it is very difficult to get in touch with the people you need to speak to.
We verbally agreed on a price, and it went up thousands of dollars once they wanted the paperwork signed. When I finally got a hold of someone to ask about it, he was very condescending and said, "don't worry about the numbers, just have it signed and returned." He proceeded to tell me that the manager and my father had agreed on a higher price, which was not true.
We eventually got the price figured out, but the completion date was pushed back several times which I was very understanding of. Eventually, I received two emails saying it was ready, so I returned my rental car and rushed over from Birmingham to get to Ford before they closed. When I got there, they told me it was actually not ready, so then I was stranded in Tuscaloosa with no car.
Two weeks later, it was ready and I picked it up. When I read the invoice, I saw that it says something about the vehicle not going into reverse - I don’t even know where that came from - and that they cleaned the fluid pan and replaced the transmission fluid. There are no charges on the invoice and nothing referencing a transmission replacement at all.
I paid for a new transmission and have been trying to get some kind of documentation to show for it.
I spoke to a service advisor 2 weeks ago to try to get the warranty paperwork for the brand new transmission and asked why the invoice does not say anything about it. He said he would look into the invoice, but it can't be changed anyway, and there is no such thing as paperwork for the warranty. How can I know there is actually a valid warranty when I have no documentation of (1) the new transmission being put in and (2) the transmission's warranty details?
I have called over and over since then, and neither the service advisor nor the service manager will answer or return my calls.
Please save yourself the money and dignity and take your vehicle anywhere else. I have tried to be patient and get in touch with them, but they really treat their customers like burdens.Oct 07, 2025 -
Beware taking your vehicle here for repairs. At one time, our family had 3 Fords, 2 purchased new from this dealership. Now my husband's 2017 Escape has been in the shop at least 2 1/2 months in 2025. The warranty is a joke, with whoever the local dealership has to call doing everything to deny the claim and taking forever to respond. We've also had to dig through the glovebox to find records that weren't transferred over when the dealership changed owners so we could prove that we had the car serviced as recommended. Since the spring, had to have transmission replaced, then had to have the alignment done, new battery, new transmission pump and now electrical issues.
Customer service is terrible. We just got the car back after them having it over 3 weeks this time, and promising it would be ready "soon" multiple times. And guess what? After having the vehicle back for about 4 hours, it died during rush hour traffic on a very busy roadway. We are lucky that we weren't in a wreck, considering we couldn't even turn on the hazards. It was a very dangerous spot to be in and they obviously didn't do their due diligence when they tested the vehicle. I called the dealership, no offer to help us, no offer of a loaner. When I demanded a loaner (we had just returned the rental car that we had been driving), no one was authorized to get us one. Then, with promises of we will do our best to get you something first thing in the morning, nothing was available and no idea when anything would be in. So back we go to rent another car.
They also returned the car back filthy. It wasn't clean when they got it, but looked like it had mud slung all over one side. You would think after having it as long as they did and knowing we were annoyed that they would do something to keep us as customers. We will be purchasing a new car soon and it will not be from this dealership.Oct 02, 2025 -

i got my first ever purchase from here a couple days ago (and walked away with a brand new truck!!) and i have to say the first time experience at ford was amazing! they had a ton of cars and trucks to look at and i was able to find the perfect one thanks to Gage and Chase. The staff was very helpful Gage was nice enough to walk me through things and explain them as we went since it was my first time buying from a dealership and i was absolutely clueless(i highly recommend asking for him if you go there looking to purchase the perfect car/truck for you!)

This Ford dealership sold us a USED F-150 Raptor as a brand new vehicle in March 2024. We came in to Honda today to trade the vehicle in, only to find out that the truck had been in a collision, with a police report filed in October 2023. No disclosure of this information, nothing. Called and spoke with their sales manager and he’s claiming they don’t have access to Experian AutoCheck, that apparently most every single dealership in this state has access to. My husband is a disabled Veteran, and they took advantage of him and sold him a WRECKED truck as if it were 100% brand new. BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP!!!

I went to Tuscaloosa ford not expecting to buy that day. I found a vehicle I love thanks to lee! He worked with me for 4 months plus and was patient with my changing mind on what exactly I wanted! The sweetest and most easy going salesman I’ve ever worked with! Our finance guy was also great! He talked to our babies and made sure everything was perfect for us, and our family! I couldn’t recommend Tuscaloosa ford enough.

Finally! An honest dealership with transparent prices, great deals, and salesmen that still have some “old school” humanity. I spent close to 8 months shopping for a truck, speaking to dozens of dealerships and salesmen across AL, GA, and TN, while doing extensive research on pricing and features.
This was the only dealer that earned my business. Frank was excellent. We negotiated over email and text for a few weeks, he got me a really good deal on a truck + allowed me to get that deal with Ford Financing @ 1.9%. After negotiating, I came in and test drove the truck. Then we did the paperwork and I was out the door in about an hour and a half. The finance manager was great too.
Most other dealers will publish false “sale” prices that are only applicable to INFLATED dealership finance rates. Stivers Ford in Birmingham, for example, charges an extra $10K if you use Ford Financing (illegal, btw, but plenty of dealerships get away with plenty of fraudulent activity). Tuscaloosa Ford gave me a great deal AND honored the Ford Financing incentives.
