Rick did a great job repairing my son's Tacoma transmisson, I brought it to the dealer and they said we needed a whole new transmisson, Rick diagnosed it the same as the dealer, He communicated through the process with professionalism and honesty on part availability and all my options. We choose to have it repaired. He finished the job on time, schedule and budget of what he quoted. I would highly recommend him if looking for transmisson work to be completed.

I had a fantastic experience with Rick's Quality Transmissions! I got there, let them know I needed my transmission fuel refilled, and within 30 minutes I was on the road again. I took my work truck to Rick's and explained that I may have a transmission fluid leak. They squeezed an appointment in for me in the morning and by the afternoon they called me back and told me there was no transmission leak, it was oil coming from higher up in the engine. I was really on a time crunch and they helped me out. They were honest and up front and did not unnecessarily perform a repair or charge me. Rick's Quality Transmissions truly earns it's name.

Some of the nicest and most respectful men in town. They stayed on the phone with me helping me diagnose my transmission problems after self-install. Then I drove the truck up there a week later and two guys came out and double checked my work giving me advice based on their experience and knowledge. Rick’s is the best. I had my car at another shop and they were trying to sell me a used transmission with 100,000 miles on it for almost $4,000 Used at that. I had several people tell me to take it to Rick’s transmission and I’m so happy I did. They treated me so well. The service was quick and they are so honest. They gave me a quote of $3500 to $4000. It came to be $3300. I would not have know any difference. They are so honest and I highly recommended them to all.

They are best in Tuscaloosa. They would get a 5th star if they weren't so busy. But they are busy because they are good and moderate but fair on prices.

Just called inquiring about the free estimate to see what’s going on with my car. My brother referred me to these people because he uses them now. Prior to calling, I read the reviews and was even more excited to give them a try. I told the person on the phone what was going on with my, he then suggested taking me taking my car to AutoZone store to get a code and see what’s going on. I told him I’ve did that several times and replaced the items AutoZone told me too. The person on the phone then tells me to take my car to a place like Henry’s Auto to see what’s was going on……THATS THE REASON I CALLED Ricks to see what’s going on. I feel like they just didn’t want my business or to service me which really sucks! It was rude! I really needed and wanted their help!
Rick and Evan were so helpful with my 2010 Chevy Impala. They worked hard to try and fix it for me and when they couldn’t, barely charged me for the work they did on it. I would recommend this place 10 times over! So trustworthy and helpful. They work with you to try and get it right.
Rick’s transmission has earned a customer for life. Evan was incredibly nice and made the whole thing a nice experience. We brought my car in at around 3:15 and it was fixed before 5 o’clock when most places would just let it sit there untouched for a day. The whole thing cost less than 100 dollars which was an absolute relief for me as a college student. Will absolutely be using them for everything i can!!

Rebuilding the Transmission in my old suburban was much less then the estimate I’d been given by the franchise transmission shop on Macfarland. The turn around time was great and the staff was nice. Would use them again!

Rick, his family, and the crew are great. They do very good work at fair prices and are great to work with. They have done a clutch replacement and a transmission replacement for me over the years and have always done great work. Spent $1600 on a used transmission for a 2003 Avalon to be replaced. The work done wasn't bad and the repair didn't take longer than a couple of weeks. One of the workers took around $50 in gold dollars, half dollars, and quarters from my center console. I feel like after spending nearly two grand on a car worth only that they would have taken enough money from me already!
I brought my F-150 in Friday morning and I got a call back a few hours later with an explanation of what was wrong and how much it would cost to fix. By Monday morning I was driving it again and my issue was resolved. I am fully satisfied with the clear and timely communication they provided and if anyone I know is having transmission problems I would feel totally confident recommending Rick's to them.
I brought my F150 to them in July of 2018 that wasn’t shifting into overdrive, they told me that it could be something simple but I insisted that if it was, to go ahead and overhaul the entire transmission because I run a small lawn service and I need my truck to be in tip top shape. They gave me a very reasonable estimate, I dropped it off on a Monday and had it back that Friday. And yes it needed to be overhauled anyway. They also added a shift kit to extend the life of me pulling a trailor all the time. The staff was very nice. They met me at the door when I first pulled up. Thanks Rick
The transmission cooler line broke on my daughter's car. Had it towed to Rick's and they turned it around in less than 24 hours and at a very reasonable price. Everyone was very nice and courteous. I would definitely do business with them again.
These really are the good guys! The expensive transmission rebuild I got In Memphis was toast 200 miles later when I broke down in Tuscaloosa. Rick and his courteous capable staff did the job RIGHT. Highly recommended.

My 2008 Altima Coupe transmission had went out! And I'm SO glad that I decided to take it to Mr. Rick! I got a good, used low-mileage transmission that comes w/ a 6 month warranty. We were traveling through on our way back to Pensacola and we had car trouble so we called Ricks transmission and they towed us and fix us up all in one day. Everyone there was very professional and took good care of us I highly recommend them to everyone. The price was very reasonable and Fair!
