Place is a ripoff. They tow cars from your residence although you have the proper pass on the car. They stalk people and tow your car. Place should be removed from a state approved towing company. I plan to file a complaint with the state towing board. Thief is the only word that comes to mind.
If I could rate any lower I would. They are not very informative about the prices and what is required to even get your car back from them even after you’ve called 2-3 times a day. Then on top of that how about they dropped my car throughout the towing process and now my front end is barely hanging on and the lights are missing! Just now finding out cause the people fixing my car got underneath the car and it was a piece just barely holding everything together. DO NOT RECOMMEND then the man hung up in my face and refuses to talk!!!
I love this company , First off they did not give me the run around and for that let me just say Dwaynes towing is very reliable , fast and my car and belongings was stored and secure. I will be calling them anytime I need towing . Don’t take my word try them for yourself
Was parked for legitimately 20 seconds with my flashers onto run next door to where my car was parked to grab something super fast and had to pay $165 to get my car let down by 3 inches. The driver had JUST hooked my car up and it took literally 20 seconds and the push of one button for him to let my car down. The driver was incredibly rude to me and would not respond to me when I spoke to him. He even carried a gun with him on his waistband and it was terrifying to me. Driver was also smoking cigarettes and smelled awful of smoke. He was camped out right next to where I was parked and pretended to drive down the street once he saw me leave and then pulled back around so he could tow me. He was incredibly rude and should be fired in my opinion. I don’t think it is legal nor should be allowed to camp out on the strip. I am considering calling the city to inquire about if this is legal.
Editing this to also say that upon further inspection of my car it appears that the tow truck driver was making such haste that the bottom of my bumper is scratched and cracked significantly. Absolutely under no circumstances should you use this company.
We had an absolutely awful experience with this towing company just now. They had just pulled up behind our vehicle when we approached and wanted $200 to not tow it away. The vehicle had been cranked remotely from a few blocks away and was already running. The tow truck driver then became completely unreasonable when we opened the door to retrieve a handicapped parking placard from the vehicle accusing us of attempting to drive away which was not even remotely the case (only one of our party of 4 even got into the car). He changed his mind and said that paying the $200 was no longer an option and that we would need to pay more to get the car from the lot which would not be open until the following day. He was made aware that we live over an hour away in Birmingham but there was no reasoning with him. We spend a good amount of time pleading with him to no avail. Interestingly, this tow truck company is listed as open 24/7 but cars cannot be picked up until Monday. When we called the number just now to double check that the information provided was accurate, the driver picked up but although he is at the office and available to continue making money by picking up cars we are still unable to pay to get the car until after 9am on Monday. This means spending close to $300 round trip for Ubers to and back from Birmingham on top of whatever the company will charge for storing the vehicle in their lot overnight. I’m still in disbelief that the steps needed to get the car back went from paying $200 to waiting a whole day and paying for costly Ubers all for retrieving possessions from the car which wasn’t even hooked up yet. The police even came and attempted to reason with the driver on our behalf but ultimately were unable to force him to do anything since it’s a civil matter. We remain hopeful the towing company will make this right. We have footage of the incident should that be helpful in considering continued employment of this tow truck driver.
Was totally camping out by the strip. Went across the street for a second to grab smth from a friends apartment, came back with them already ab to take my car. Wasnt gone but for 2 minutes. Made me pay $160 on the spot just so i could prevent it from being towed.
Called for a tow service and waited two hours in a parking lot, called back and recieved a temper tantrum from a grown man cussing me out telling me hes too busy, place is full of grown lazy men call somewhere else

Guests of tenants that are allowed to be there. While the condominium may have a parking policy. It is not one they ever enforce except for on Gameday??? In 2 years I have been visiting and staying with a friend there. Never an issue.
They tow all the vehicles asked, over 20 from this complex, while receiving 265.00 per car. They have the nerve to charge 75.00 after hours fee. After taking the cars on Saturday night. They know they will be there all day the next day??? Really after hours fee. Website says they are open 24 hours. Thank you for assisting in running a scam with this condo to take advantage of students.
Horrible business practices by both parties. They even towed the residents car.. just ridiculous.
Bad experience with this company. I would never recommend. I was in an auto accident. Insurance was paying my tow. The police called this company. I wish my Insurance tow was able to get there first. This driver/company refused to tow my car to the collision center AFTER hooking my car up. My insurance was GUARANTEED to pay them. They took it to their tow yard and incurred uncessaary fees of almost $450 because they wanted same day payment. My insurance company literally paid them THE NEXT DAY to have it released and another tow company took my car to the collision site. What type of business are they running when you refuse insurance payment? Imagine standing on the side of the road after someone hit YOUR car with your daughter to experience horrible service. I usually recommend companies to my vast network. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone in the Tuscaloosa or Birmingham area. I'll also be filing a written complaint with the state troopers office to recommend to take them OFF their list.
I was pulling a 22 foot boat on I 59. The trailer axle broke and I was stuck on the side of the interstate. Reggie came to the rescue and expertly towed this big heavy load to his yard. He towed it again the next day to a repair shop. Reggie was highly skilled, and provided excellent service. The price was very reasonable for what he had to do. Thank you Reggie...
Great tow service!!! I called and the driver (Reggie) estimated a short tow time and arrived faster than he told me. He had a great attitude and took care of my car while loading it, towing it and unloading it!! Great job!!!
I called and Reggie came in 10 minutes and was so extremely helpful. Everyone else I called was 45 minutes out and he came so fast and he was knowledgeable about the problem with my vehicle and saved me lots of money, I’m sure! I am disappointed in the way this company handle business they towed my red dodge caliber from my residence upon the site manager request without a warning notice I ask the guy that towed my vehicle can I get my belongings out my car he insisted that I can and that I should call the office the next morning I called the office and the lady that work in the front office told me no I cant not on a abandon vehicle untill I pay first that was a insult my vehicle wasn't abandon I was in the process of getting my car repaired at my residence, several months past they sent me a letter saying my vehicle will be put in a car auction on a certain date, I was like ok I know that but this is what gets me send me the letter to where my vehicle is at in the car auction is it demolished sold where is it this company doesnt take the time to work with ya and company's like you is the reason why unpaid balances go unnoticed dont think about sending a letter a year to now the outstanding balance could of been paid if you just do your job the right way.

Very nice and considerate staff. I hate I had to visit them due to the circumstances, but the people were very considerate and helpful. I had a total loss from a vehicle accident. Therefore, I had to get all of my belonging out of my vehicle.

Prompt and affordable service. I called a few and none could handle the job of moving a large shed or give me a price. Dwayne's responded quickly and we got on the schedule. He called back with a quicker opening due to a last minute reschedule and we had our shed picked up, delivered, and leveled in short order. Highly recommend.

They were very helpful and understanding and allowed us time to retrieve our vehicle right at closing and they stayed open after closing to allow the tow truck driver time to arrive for our vehicle! My son slammed his car into a pole at the yacht club of all places and Dwayne’s was nice enough to come to his rescue. They arrived quickly as requested and towed our car to their yard until insurance could take possession. We had a phenomenal experience and hope to never need their services like this again!!
Dwayne's Towing and Recovery offers prompt, friendly service. Jon responded quickly to my call and showed up quickly to jump start a dead battery within a half hour of my call. He was also a fantastic resource to recommend reliable battery replacement options close by once he had me up and running. I highly recommend using these guys and will be happy to do so again.
They over charge and they won’t answer the phone! I have been sitting outside for a long time! They only have one person working. So while one is towing cars the office is locked! I sat and waiting for him to get back! I called him so many times and no answer! Worst place to get your car towed! They charge 165 and if you want to get it the same day they charge another 100!
My husband tried working for them and they cheated him out of money , got mad because of our situation... Office lady was nice at 1st... then we left the area and they threatened charges of theft... they DO NOT PAY properly... apparently he's been around
Tuscaloosa quiet a while but like only 2 guys now seem decent.. I get vibes from people and ya know what I got some bad ones from that bunch... Use them if you want to be cheated one way or another... but I myself very highly DO NOT recommend this business...

I called them the week prior and scheduled a towing. They showed up a little later then the time I picked but it was ok. The driver was polite, respectful and professional. The office lady I talked to the week before was really kind and professional as well. Safe to say I will use them for anymore towing problems in the future. Thanks For your services!
The wrecker came and did a great job handling my car, and given the implications from the issues that I dealt with, he was... pretty good at reading the room? Not sure if I used it right, but all in all, great service, and slightly cheaper than the other five I called.
The driver Reggie can and was so professional! He set up a repair facility for me, he called the manager to begin the process. He took me a hotel so that I could be safe for the night. He truly took care of a stranger! Thank you Reggie!
If given a chose I would have never chose Dewaynes in the first place. In an accident not my fault waiting on insurance companies and was told in 5 day they would apply for abandoned title 1 day after my wreck. Not a good chose of tow yards. Very rude people with no since of kindness. Do not use these people.

This was during 4th of July weekend and even though it was the holidays, I was still able to get in touch with someone when I called in to get information regarding my vehicle. Everybody was extremely polite and professional and I would definitely recommend them to anybody I need of their services.
It sucks being stranded somewhere especially with a toddler. I called around town to a few different companies who all said we’d have to wait at least an hour, but this place sent someone immediately and even charged less. Customer service was amazing as well. If I ever find myself in another situation like this one, this place is at the top of my list of places to call!
