Well, it's a scrape yard. Most scrape yards are the same. Blue collared workers.
Which means if you dont know blue collar workers, are busy at work, not noticing social cues of customers needing help. They were matter of fact once I found the head person in charge. After that everything went smoothly. It was my first time to this yard. It was easy in and out. There was no back and forth on what metals I had. Which you can sometimes get, at other yards. I gave it a 3 because it's your average run of the mill yard. Im use to blue collar workers, I actually enjoy their matter of fact attitudes. Because im AuDHD. But if your looking for someone to hold your hand, or workers to greet you like Walmart workers, then this yard isn't for you. But if you are like me, want in and out, no time for talkie then this is your spot. I only give 4 to scrap yards that have extra "soft" customer service.
But a p.s.a , these scrap yards deal with ummm alot of not so good people. Their tolerance for BS is zero. So just go into scraping understanding, 80 percent of their customers drive them crazy and aren't in it for recycling. The othe 20 percent of us that are recycling for the right reasons, just gotta remember to be compassionate to the gsrd workers o the yard.
I have to give them a top rating even when they made a mistake with what I had they where fast and friendly about clearing it up ! And that's good business ,also my truck broke down and they done all they could to help me ! And let me leave it there until I could come back and fix it .not the first time did they complain about it being there ! Thank you guys for all your help .y'all deserve a top rating in my book and I hope people read this and see y'all good people ! These days and times that means alot more to me than anything else .
If I could give no star I would! This place is a joke! I did the math…and should have received at least $100 more than that I received. Go somewhere else!
Showed up at this place a little close to closing I'd say 2:45 and gate was open however when I got to the window I was most rudely told that the place was closed I informed the teller that my vehicle was out of gas and in her deep concerns For my misfortune she gladly slammed the window in my face and assured me it wasn't her problem I feel like even if you've never had any dealings with a customer that at a minimum you owe them some kind of courtesy for making sure your services are needed basically they're making sure you draw a check my advice stay away from the scrap yard it's just not worth it the irony is I had a whole trailer park that was in need of demolition and was just searching for a place I felt comfortable and that deserved my business like I said it's all about us the customer we're the ones who matters
My experience here has been one that is very good. The people are friendly and efficient, and I find their rates for scrap to be quite competitive. I've taken 3 cars and misc. steel and aluminum scrap in three separate visits. In and out in about 1/2 hour every time. Cash was actually more than expected.
I will return in the next couple of days, and plan a couple more before cold sets in. These are my guys, I think they are fair, and service is good, staff is friendly. Can't ask for more than that, I reckon.
I come all this way its better people are nice and if you need anything out there they got you than sylacauga recycling I like the price for your scrap too
Absolutely horrible! Took a trailer full of channels, pipes, and a bunch of metal scrapes. They offer less than $200. Never coming here again. Safe yourself, trust me there are better places willing to pay more.
There good and quick about what they do, but it honestly hurt me to see that none of there workers would help a disabled man today nor even tried to. They basically left the man on his on which was paralyzed with the left side from a stroke which ended up asking me to help him and I stayed an hour and half to help out, please if your disabled please bring help
Only takes aluminum can (drink cans). Won't take aluminum dog or cat food cans ( aluminum is aluminum isn't?). Sadly the one in Pell City is closing so you have only one chose.
By far the worst place in alabama. The lady with a stick magnet doesn't know anything about metal and the greasy little helper knows even less. It appeared to be a family run rip off scheme. Polite isn't a concern for them at all. The worst experience I have ever encountered. Scrap at your own risk with this place.
Never had an issue at this recycling facility the people are always busy but very polite they get you in and out no hassle .I love the fact that you can take your recycling materials and also buy car parts if needed. God bless and happy recycling
