So far Very very helpful I'm from Michigan and need to recycle some metal shelving and when calling around this was the first Recycling center that answered me and mind you on the second rind. On my way there I'll post back my experience..

I had an agreement with Mark Nave an account manager at SA recycling. We agreed upon a certain amount of money for a load of old sheet aluminum. However when the check arrived I was paid scrap price. When I called to get this straight I was told "we mistakenly put it in the scrap pile instead of aluminum, we simply will not take that big of a loss you will have to trust me when I say I will make it up to you on something else." I called John Erwin who said "I will look into it." 4 weeks have gone by and my phone calls are avoided and my messages are ignored. My team and I will move forward until a reasonable solution is met.

I love the professionalism of all the employees. Everyone is very nice and helpful. Best prices for your scrap metal.

They are security conscious and that is a good thing.. A great scrap yard for recycling and making a few extra dollars.. they take Brass, Copper and Aluminum at a different area and pay top dollar for the day..

I just went there so subscribe copper wait a little line for about 15-20 minutes it was just about closing I got there just by the time they were closed I said there was a line but people are all right polite come to my vehicle got the car out and then took it in there and wait and baby no problem whatsoever so they got about the best price in town for scrap anyway yeah nice place to junkyard you know how nice can it be.

I love this place. I even like the lady that drives the fork lift. Lol...everyone is really friendly. And when you're there you go in and out really fast.

Pretty good prices on scrap but if you want to drop scrap off you have to drive to the very very back making a flat tire a good possibility

Aluminum prices are up.. from what I've heard... Can anybody confirm this and tell me what they're going for?

The yard here is kept clean for a small scrap and customer service is friendly.

Employees were very helpful. Once I pulled in, I was given clear instructions on where to go to for my different metals. Prices were as good as you could hope for with the world as it is. Will absolutely be back.

I have been twice today here at SA Recycling because out of maby four or five different metal recycling scrap yards SA pays the most for there ferrous metals or scrap metal like steel, iron and tin. Although I have brought non-ferrous metal many time here I'm not sure how they compare to the other metal recycling companies in the area but I haven't complained any so they pay enough for metals like copper, brass and aluminum or non-ferrous metals. I have never had any problems there and all there employees are professional and nice. My go to scrap yard!

Thanks for having the train blocking the road for 30 minutes... I understand you guys have got to work but but so does everybody else. How about you guys be a little more considerate.

I have no clue how to get to the scale to turn in my aluminum cans?

After sharing the sharing the following,HQ stopped communications. "Thursday a friend of the family took a load of scrap metal (iron/common steel) the facility here in Decatur,Al (hwy 20). While he was in the back having the trailer unloaded one of the laborers got smart with him because he didn't get out and help them unload it,I guess they didn't see the handicap tag or decal in his truck. They also damaged the wall on my trailer while unloading the scrap,the right wall was hanging loosely off as he pulled back to the front office. Then I took some non-ferrous metals (a couple of refrigerator compressors,a couple bags of cans,and some stainless steel sheeting) there Friday. They punched the stainless steel in as tin,and when my girlfriend mentioned it to the lady in the office she flared her nose and said "They know what they are doing." We did nothing to bring this kind of attention to ourselves,nor did we react with such primitive retaliation. I know my my metals because i grew up helping my gram pa clean and sort metals,and knowing the value of a dollar I too save metals when it comes my way. I don't know why we received such treatment,but it wasn't necessary. I know that the individuals involved don't represent the main body of your company,but if they are treating others the same way we were treated then they are potentially costing the company money and loyal customers. Great place to take your recycling that the city doesn't pick up like glass, and batteries. They take most types of metals, specifically aluminum and copper. They will also pay you fairly for your contribution.
