Went for first time there is so much old thing here it's crazy. Price aren't bad either. Really neat things. Wish I had more room for things. Mr Philips was very nice to talk with and his staff
I love this place! So does my husband, he’s more of a digger so he likes the little sheds in front. The furniture is top notch and full of character. The prices are very reasonable.
I love this place. You have to experience all of the treasures hidden in multiple buildings. Pieces of history being transformed into something new. Beautiful pieces. A treasure to have in Al. Pics just a sneak peek, so much to see in person.
I have been wanting to visit this place for a few years. We were visiting Bellingrath Gardens and made this our next stop. It was even better than I had hoped! There are eight buildings of treasures to explore. I fell in love with several items specifically. We have plans to return with a trailer! I could have been there far longer than we stayed because there is so much to look at. You are sure to find a jewel to take home with you!
I’d say it doesn’t qualify as an antique store. It’s a salvage store with lots of doors, windows, shutters, corbels, etc. Also have lots of reproductions. If you’re looking for that then this is your place. Watch out for lots of broken glass. Pricing is weird, look for the letter D and numbers. If it has a D011 written on it then it’s $110, yes, it’s backwards with the D. For the amount of inventory they carry the prices were high.
Our favorite place! We are building a house and they are very helpful in helping us put together our own special style. The selection is enormous and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Pack a lunch it is an all day event and still won't see everything.
Always love going to CTPhillips Antiques! I never leave empty handed. Today, I scored 2 doors, a mirror, a cool glass jar and a cowbell (don’t ask). I suggest bringing a truck, a trailer, cash or your checkbook and a tape measure. You won’t be sorry. I’ve bought so many furniture pieces and architectural accents from Charles for my home and for our home-building business. I 5-⭐️ recommend them!
A very cool place. Lots of interesting doors and spindles and windows and old glass jars and tables and chairs and desks and tables made out of oak barrels and wine casks. Very old world feel and plenty of it. Tons of old huge doors 9 to 20' tall. I'll definitely come back and bring a truck next time :)
This is a really neat place to go. We have been here many times. Last year we bought our kitchen table as raw lumber and assembled it ourselves. They let us mix match legs and sizes. Turned out beautiful! KY. ?
What an amazing place! Make sure you have part of a day to look around because Charles Phillips has so many interesting items. We went there with some friends that referred us for wood to use on a dining room table. They have new wood items and amazing old wood treasures. If the old doors and furniture they have could talk what history they could tell. If you are not in need if anything, it's just a cool antique place to visit. The selection is overwhelming but in a good way. The staff there are extremely helpful and so nice. We have been back twice so far.
Plan to spend a few hours here! We weren't looking for anything specific; just ideas for future projects. Multiple buildings full of a wide variety of furniture, much of it from Eastern Europe. The craftspeople here can also build custom furniture combining multiple pieces of their inventory. They also have textiles, knobs, decorative bottles, planters, shutters, doors, ... the list goes on and on! Wear comfortable shoes and bring your own water!
Such an awesome experience! So much to see. We had a 4 hour drive to come to this place and it was worth it! So many beautiful doors and pieces to choose from. Will definitely be back!
Love this place and will be back. They have just about anything you are looking for and even more you didn’t realize was on your wish list. Most everyone goes out of their way to be helpful. I only wish the young lady at the check out had the same gracious personality.
Great place to find unique pieces built from reclaimed doors and shutters! All kinds of different tables for large and small dining areas. Large selection of smalls as well!
What an amazing place! I'm not sure if the house at Bellingrath Gardens is even a close second for the best place to spend a sunny afternoon looking at beautiful furniture. I have 8' ceiling but that didn't stop me dreaming of ways to use the 10'+ doors and furniture. I'll definitely return.
You won't find a place like this anywhere else. If you like real European antique furniture, old made new again. Repurposed architecturals. They don't ruin furniture, they repair it and make it useable.
