Only bc I couldn't not give a star. Third time receiving bad checks. When I finally got someone on the phone was given the run around. Went in person bc they never call back when they say they will. Advised I will take it and file a worthless check report with the Sheriff's office if they didnt have our money the next day in cash. Will find another recycling choice. This is just bad business.
Can’t ever judge a book by its cover, this company will strive they’re grinding. Hard times prove who’s weak, ain’t nobody weak around there. The address is shown right where you can leave a review if you don’t believe me Google will give you the directions right to the doorstep.
The Website claims to be open at 9am then we call to confirm then told it wont be open till 12 but when we arrived to Recycle cans And then we were informed they were not open at all ....wast of time to drive all the way with a car packed with cans just to turn around ....
Drove almost a hour as website says they close at 5 then get there they close when they want so don't go defently call first or u may waisted your time and gas ...
I called three weeks before needing a roll-off dumpster delivered for scrap metal. Information was taken and I was told I would get a call a few days prior to delivery. No call. Called them, and was told someone would call me back. The day of requested delivery, I tried calling for hours to their busy phone line. I drive over there where four adults were eating, watching TV and scrolling in their phones. They said they didn’t realize the business phone was off the hook. Couldn’t tell me when a dumpster could be delivered, maybe later in the day. I called again later in the afternoon and was actually hung up on when I asked when delivery might be. The next day I called their competition a little north of Ozark, who delivered a dumpster within an hour AND paid twice per pound what Phillips had quoted.
Don’t waste your time with this bunch.
The absolute worst experience I’ve ever had at any business. I stood waiting for 30 minutes and loaded my stuff back up. Then he decides to come to help but with a nasty attitude and kept being rude. Enough of it I said I did what I was supposed to and this is how I was treated. He threw my batteries on the ground and said if I didn’t like it go somewhere else.
Drove 25 miles up there to be given "white goods" price( $0.05 compared to $0.08 per lb)on GOOD heavy cast iron. They even brought me a separate bin to place my steel in instead of unloading it where "white goods" are and when I asked the lady behind the window I was met with a rude and hostile response leaving me with no other option other than sucking it up and drive the 25 miles back home knowing good and well I was not treated honestly or fairly.
I have done some studies on recycling and best price for the working man and use of resources I give to Phillip's

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have almost any used and like new parts you may be looking for. The parts picker is very honest too.....if he sells you a bad part he will let you bring it back and exchange it.
The reason for my three star rating is they wrote me a check, which I deposited, and it bounced causing all kinda of problems with my bank account.
They did give me cash when I went back, and they covered my losses at the bank. I can’t afford to waste my time explaining to my bank, and others that I have written a check to, that a company that has been in business for a long time, doesn’t have the accounting ability not to write rubber checks... It’s cash only, now...
