Trusted Jake’s with our vehicles for over 20 years-always found them to be fair and honest. However, we had a terrible experience with the new owner. We initially gave him the benefit of the doubt and an opportunity to correct damage that he caused, but he was argumentative and not helpful. Rather than standing behind the work to get our vehicle running properly, a different shop ended up correcting the damage and we filed a lawsuit to get our money back. We did get the money plus legal fees, but it was a headache. Go somewhere else.
Tire blew out on I-41 and a tow-truck was there within ten minutes of my call. They were able to get a replacement tire on and the whole encounter was only about an hour. Reasonably priced as well for the time constraints put on them. Highly recommend.
We have used Jake’s for years and have always been 100% happy with service and price. Now they are under new ownership. Recently we had a brake job done a very important detail was overlooked and created a problem for us while traveling out of state. We contacted Brain and he asked us to reach out again when we got back in town. In our eyes, even though this was a critical over site he made it right and their customer service was excellent. We will continue to use Jakes in the future.
We are so thankful for them… we were in a bind and live 100+miles away with nowhere else to go after blowing a break line and this was the only place close to us and they fit us in right away… they were so friendly and it was such a small town feel in what felt like a large city area

OUTSTANDING service!! Unlike most shops and dealerships, they try the easiest/cheapest fix first, which usually works. VERY nice, friendly family owned small business.
They will call to tell you the check engine light isn't on anymore, do testing, what they find (whereas most places wouldn't tell you that, simply say, "unfortunately, you're going to need to replace x,y,z and if you don't, your vehicle might blow up in the middle of nowhere!")
My boyfriend and his son are both mechanically inclined, take their own vehicles here when they can't fix, recommended to me, and I'm so super glad they did!! Any dealership or chain repair shop charges $75 for a diagnostic test you can do for free at AutoZone, places like that. (Then Google possible causes, I witnessed firsthand at a local dealership).
I will never take any vehicle I ever own anywhere besides here if I have any mechanical issues. Extremely reasonable pricing, very friendly, honest and a lot of integrity.
As new 2019 residents of the area we were looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanic to service our vehicles. Fortunately, I stumbled onto "Jake's Auto" while on a country bike ride... and am happy that I did. The work that we've had performed at Jake's has been done very well, the prices have been fair, and he has stood behind all that he's done. Was extremely disrespectful, rude, and unnecessarily aggressive. Was this way towards both me and my insurance company. I will never forget his behavior. Avoid this company at all costs.
Leaking coolant from my 99 Grand Prix. Firestone gave me an estimate for $1500 to replace the lower intake manifold. Was recommended to go to Jake's Auto and got my coolant leak fixed for $250. The leak was coming from an old rotted bypass tube. I can't imagine how many other people got ripped of by Firestone. Definitely recommend Jake's Auto any day.

Smart, quick, fair price. If I have any car troubles I know they will get it back to me better than new without breaking the bank. Other "reputable" auto places don't do as good of work and only see dollar signs when I have problems. One of the only shops where they seem to actually like fixing cars. Go to Jakes.
