These guy's right here.... LET ME TELL YOU.... They are who you need to call when things get sticky. If you ever find yourself in such a position that your vehicle is in need of towing, they will not only show up promptly but they will also go so far as to risk their lives for you. Their equipment is top notch, their skills are of the highest level, they're respectful and extremely easy going, AND they're brave. I was driving a very large truck with a load that weighed multiple tons, and was in dire need of a tow. They pulled up promptly, reassured me and got me exactly where I needed to go. T.J. and Don have skills that very few men have these days. I highly recommend them.
I’ve used Gierach's a couple times and the service is EXCELLENT! Nick was so helpful and friendly…and knowledgeable. He even helped to diagnose the problem with my car which we were able to fix on the spot! I HIGHLY recommend this service company for your next tow.
Another driver lost control and caused my husband and I to follow him into a ditch. Gierach Towing came to get him in a third of the time that AAA was coming for us, and gave us a discounted rate for pulling us out! He walked us through how to call a good towing company and how to submit our receipt to AAA. 100/10, an absolutely god send!
Very pleasant to work with. From setting up the appointment on a Saturday afternoon to the actual towing job on Sunday morning, Gierach was a nice company to work with. TJ was very friendly and did a great job, getting my car to the repair shop. The price was also very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Had a vehicle get into an accident and they showed up with a flatbed and the tow truck driver told us and the police officer that they'd have it rolled back over in no time...long story short....road got shut down for a couple hours...another tow truck came and tried lifting our truck up with just the flatbed itself...they did more damage to the vehicle then the accident itself...bent the frame from pulling on it with the chain, broke the ladder rack by using it as a lift point, put a hole in the box by sliding the truck onto the road, busted the steering stabilizer from wrapping the chain around it, Even the police officer said what a bunch of cowboys...very very very very disappointed. Tow drivers should have just told us they were under qualified and that we need a wrecker instead.
Had a misunderstanding with the brother of the owner, but got it squared away so I removed my comments and the only thing that I have to say is that these folks have been pretty lenient and have shown mercy and to God be the glory.
Gierach's got me out of a bind quickly and easily. Heading back from Michigan, my alternator burned out on the highway in Mequon, WI, during construction. They had a flatbed out in less than 30 minutes. Nick drove me all the way back home to Chicago with my kid and was personable, efficient, and polite. Cost was what I thought it would be for a 90+mile drive back, but thankfully, that's why I pay for insurance. Highly recommend!
Had a brake line break on my tahoe, and an hour from home. Called for a tow and they where able to do the service.
Asked to have FULL stainless line kit installed ($198 + 4-5 hrs labor on the last 2 vehicles I've owned). 7 hrs of labor @ $110 later I got a "repaired" vehicle that only has the front brake lines done. But don't worry, no one recalls a phone call conversation, or in person conversation when all they hear is "I'm stranded". It also takes 38 feet of brake line to replace the front lines... they replaced the front calipers because the bleeders where rusted (totally understandable) with new pads. They didn't turn the rotors so now I have a pulsing brake up front. I go back to show them a co-workers reciept for his 99 Silverado which had stainless lines done to show them cost differences. Apparently you need to remove the cab to install pre-bent lines, and a Silverado is totally different then the tahoe.
Should have just taken the $300 tow home and got it done the right way. Now it's time to replace the rotors and rear lines.
I hit a deer on the way home last night and one of the lovely guys from Gierach's Service was driving right behind me. He immediately stopped. Thank you so much!!!! The weather was terrible and I would have not known what to do next. I was on my way in less than 5 mins. He was so nice. If you ever need anything and are looking at this review know that these guys are nice people.
I have a 66 Cadillac Deville that I had Gierachs service, check the full car over and to fix all leaks on the car.
To make a LONG story short, I spent just over $7,000 with them, had to return my car 3-4 times after the initial 2 visits and the car still leaks trans fluid and oil.
I am by far not one of those people looking to give a bad review and I know several people who know the Gierach family personally, however, the lack of them actually fixing the leaks, which is what I took it in for and spent THOUSANDS, is absolutely uncalled for and HORRIBLE business.
Every time I got the car back it kept leaking and they told me it wasn't. So I took it back 3 more times and the car STILL leaks trans fluid and oil.
$7,000 and thats the kind of repair/service you get???
Take your business elsewhere. This is a 100% factual review with zero misinformation or lies.
I gave them several chances to make it right and they didn't. So now its time to give the review they deserve.

Last night I hit a deer on I-43 South, and Gierach's towing came and towed my car. Along with towing my car they gave me a ride to somewhere I could get an Uber home. The driver was a very kind gentleman, he took a look at my car and kept my hopes up which made me feel alot better about the situation. No doubt in my mind those who work with this business are very kind people, who care very much about their clients. All the best for everyone who works here and who require their services!

This is one of those places you almost hate to review, only because you want to keep it to yourself! Awesome service - they genuinely care about figuring out what's wrong with your car, more than their bottom line. They are honest and don't do shenanigans like recommending something be replaced before it's time. As a woman, I'm especially happy with how respectfully they treat me and respond to my questions - Blake takes the time to answer/explain, and never makes me feel like I don't know what I'm talking about. I've been taking my 2012 Mazda 3 there since I got it, along with its two predecessors. My dad - who's pretty knowledgeable about cars himself - has also had reliably good service and communication with them. Definitely a gem among auto repair shops in the SE Wisconsin area!
We currently have a 2004 Armada, it has 130k+ miles on it, so maintenance is now more frequent. We've had everything from brake rotors, lines & pads, batteries, headlights, rear hatch window hinges, fuel injectors, various sensors and tires replaced.
Unfortunately, we've also had to tow our vehicle before and there's never been an issue getting it done. Gierach's has always been able to checkout any problems and advise us of what they find wrong. More importantly, they were willing to let us know what required immediate repair; and what could wait because it wasn't a safety issue. (Unlike a dealer in N. Fla, that charged $195 for a new part; when the old part only needed a $0.25 metal clip.)
My father has used Gierach's for over 25yrs and always being happy with the service and the price. My husband and I have been using them since "99" and are happy with their service as well. I am sorry for anyone that had a bad experience and I can not speak to that interaction, but we're happy.
I have used Gierach's Towing for about 5 years for all of our tows and it doesn't matter what time of the day or night and how bad the weather is I have always been overly satisfied with both the promptness and the customer service. Highly recommended
I wish I could say I had a good experience here but the communication was terrible. I left feeling severely over charged for a mistake that the mechanics made ordering the wrong part for my Honda and the bill came out $300 more than they quoted. I'll never go here again.
This place customer service was horrible, and over priced!( you have been warned) the lady at the counter was not only rude but also handed me the wrong car keys! when i told her they weren't not my keys she just snatched them right out my hand and proceed to get the right ones i was only in there for about five minutes, and within such short time they were able to earn a one star vote from me.
You won't find a better local mechanic and towing service - these guys are simply the BEST at what they do! Classic cars, towing and transport, general auto and truck repair and maintenance. In a challenging and constantly changing industry where mechanics often have a negative stigma attached - Gierach's Service, Inc. maintains a higher standard! Highly recommended.
The mechanics are interested in finding out what the problem is with your car. I know that sounds crazy, but I got tired of the dealer service center just replacing a bunch of parts, not even really knowing if that would fix the problem. Instead, Gierach's does their darndest to figure out exactly what is wrong and only do the service that is required. Instead of replacing oxygen sensors left and right, they actually just clean the ones that can be cleaned and replace only the ones that are really broken. I appreciate their concern for cost, offering used parts when available. Call for an appointment in advance.
