I own a starter & alternator rebuilding business and our entire scrap bin is literally ONLY disassembled starters & alternators. They refused to pay starter/alt pricing. Will sell to out of state core buyers next time; they are happy to pay appropriate prices for this type of scrap.
I went here on Monday, 4/3/2023 to recycle a bunch of bags of cans that I had. The entire process went so smoothly and I was in and out in no time. A lady driving a fork lift brought the metal basket to collect my cans right behind my truck, which was so helpful. The man that was working the scale came right over and helped me unload the cans from the back of my truck and then was nice enough to throw away all the bags for me. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and super helpful! Would highly recommend!
The lady at the counter was so rude and unhelpful at Alter Metal it was ridiculous and then I pull up to get my metal to taken off the trailer and one of the yard guys coming to ask me if they were telling me that I'm in the wrong spot I was like what the mind you it was 6° outside with the wind chill who knows what
This place pays better than the others that's why I go there although there was one time I took a load and I'm sure I didn't get paid for one of my electric motors and it was the biggest one of course. The weights didn't add up there was to many people unloading during this time so it was confusing but that motor never went on the scale other than that one time things have always been good.
Rip off! They swindle people who aren't used to scrap pricing. We travel for work and scrap our extra copper all the time. We should've been paid a few thousand dollars more. If you like being robbed this is the place to go =(
I have been taking aluminum cans to this business for several years. I have never had a bad experience. All the employees are very helpful and I love talking to Victor when getting paid.
When you read all the reviews about them being rude, BELIEVE IT. The yard guys are great, and very helpful but the office is unbelievably rude. Prices also aren't great, but if you don't mind being talked down to, being snapped at or being ignored, by all means.
Very happy with them. Pay good, very friendly staff, and well organized. 100% better then toys. I will be taking all my loads of scrap here from now on.
Brought a van out there and gave me $70 dallars less then they were supose to I had to bring the check back and show them. And took me 1 hour and half out there.
