Helpful, friendly staff... They take a variety of metal objects (big and small), which is great... Because it takes the stuff off your hands and keeps it out of landfills and puts it back to good use! When I bring things they want to pay me for, I don't even take the cash. I let them have the money for helping do such a great job for the environment!
Will not go back. Was quoted one price on the phone given another price and told some of my items were not stainless because it was magnetic (stainless can be either) not to mention it was stamped "Stainless" No receipt either.
I just got ripped off by them so hard I'm actually a little embarrassed to even be leaving this review but to see their average review being 4.4 and knowing it should be 1.0 I had to say something. I just got done dropping off scrap metal at this place for the second time. The first time I think I dropped off like 200lbs worth of steel and only got 10 dollars. Well this time I dropped off like 10 1/3hp industrial motors and over 100 lbs of insulated wire averaging maybe 14 or 16 gauge per pound and only got $44.30.... I knew they weren't as good of a deal as they should be but I'm pretty sure I should have got over $100 for that trunk load of wire I just dropped off. Maybe even $200. It's such a large discrepancy it's hard not to see it as anything other than thievery to take advantage of someone's ignorance to such a degree. I only went here instead of alter because it was more convenient and I'm never able to get to alter during their hours of operation. I have to believe the only reason they're in business is because their hours make them much more available than alter and the hours that they're open when Alter is closed is probably when they get the majority of their business. At any rate I OBVIOUSLY will never go to this place again. I'll sooner save up my scrap for an entire year and take a day off from work just so I can go to Alter before I ever return to this place again.
This place is not good for aluminum can or scratch metals any more I fell like they have been cheat it not the right weight cause they won'tlet you see on the scale. Not recommended go there.
Only pays about 10-20% of what the other scrap places pay. Said they can't compete with there prices...then why in the world are you in business? Business is about competing, if you can't compete people won't come to you when they figure out they can get 4 times as much by going anywhere else j just got $13 for bringing in 11 pounds of clean copper and 15 lbs of clean aluminum and about 30 lbs of aluminum Breakage. Anywhere else I would have gotten at least $55-$75 anywhere else.
Aluminum is .75 cents a pound I scale out 8 pounds I get $5.10 , something does not add up. Then a cpl weeks ago I bring in 10 pounds I walk out with $5 plus change? I love this place been there multiple times but last few times things aren't calculating properly.
