Shorty’s is an excellent garage and I highly recommend them to anyone needing car service. They were able to replace a solenoid that was causing the Check Engine alarm to sound on our car . They got us into the shop quickly and provided excellent service at a reasonable price. Thank you to the staff at Shorty’s!
I took my friend there for his car. I never went inside. But, the place is very well maintained outside. All cars are in line and look clean and orderly. I didn't see any sort of trash. The mechanics I saw were polite and looked sharp and professional.

My van overheated and was towed to Shorty's garage from route 48 in the evening right before they closed. I was 40 miles from home. I spoke to their front desk and they had a packed schedule but understood my situation. They said they would check out the issue and see if they give me an idea of the situation. I stayed about two miles away at the hotel down the road.
They called me before checkout to let me know what they found out. I was either going to wait four hours or thirteen hours depending on the fix, which was the water pump exploding. Shorty was able to somehow fit my van in with already packed schedule, and fix it by that afternoon.
Once my van was fixed, Shorty picked me up from the hotel (who does that!?) which I planned to walk from. He told me what happened on the way. I paid for the repair (for an extremely reasonable price). I went to tip them for being able to help me while in desperate need, but they refused. They said that anyone could have been in this situation and that a good handshake will do.
I will remember this place and will absolutely go back to them in the future if I have the ability to.
We were from out of town and needed an oil change BAD. We were staying in the area and found Shorty's. Got us right in and were so friendly and fast too! Highly recommend!
Called for a state inspection, my vehicle is brand new , lady at the desk says they will only check my lights due to the car being new. Apon arrival I'm asked, Are the keys in it? I respond with, nobody is driving my vehicle, they respond with, legally you can't drive it into the shop or come into the shop. These people are either very stupid, or think I'm stupid! The younger guy was more than rude, personally I payed hard money for my car, and no your greasy little mechanic will not set 1 foot in it much less drive it! They flat out refuse to give me the state inspection unless I give them my keys!!??? The owner shorty helped me in the past and I hope he sees this review! I've been driving for almost 10 years. Went to many shops, not 1 EVER demanded I hand over my keys, I ALWAYS DRIVE IT INTO THE GARAGE!!! ALWAYS!!! Point being... If you don't see or talk to shorty yourself then DO NOT GO HERE! AND PLEASE NEVER EVER EVER give any shop your keys just for an inspection sticker, I drive standard. I'm sorry but nobody is driving my car... You shouldn't let them either! The service at the desk was worse than the DMV! Heed my warning!
Highly Recommend! Our fire crew was passing through and had a buggy spring a heavy oil leak. They came to the parking lot, filled us up with oil and helped us drive to the there shop and had it fixed overnight. Very pleasant to work with, very curtious and helpful.
