Emt/ambulance driver. Prudence came to pull us out of a bad driveway after the big ice storm. Prompt, careful and professional, pulled us almost 1000 ft back up an icy dirt "driveway" E350 box ambulance 2wd.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I had slid in a ditch a half mile from my home and got stuck late on a 5° night. I decided to wait til daylight to come back and pull it out. I returned at 5 am to find my truck gone and that Prudence had towed it. I eventually was able to get a hold of them at 9:30 am and was told my tow bill was $350.00 for a 16 mile tow and if I didn't make it there by 4 pm I would be charged more. I never asked to be towed but I understand it was (it was completely off the main road) but to be charged that amount is ridiculous. I knew from word of mouth not to use their services but they had me over a barrel and knew it. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. It seems Im not the only one with issues with your company according to the reviews and your rating and the only bashing that was done was to the bumper of my truck from your 100000 team of towing experts. "Do better" indeed.
Got a flat tire in the middle of nowhere on my bike and prudence towing came to the rescue. The rates were reasonable and they salvaged my trip, big kudos to these folks.
Very slow I have picked up there twice , call them an hour ahead of time and still have to wait 30 minutes for some one to show up and move there tow truck so I can load my car in towing out of there
My Winnebago Travato's rear wheel slid off on a steep Gravel Road. Prudence was prompt, friendly, professional, reasonably
priced,and did a great job. Highly recommended.
I was traveling thru Oak Hill, WV in August when my 2012 Kia Optima had engine issues and Prudence Towing got my car. Towed it to their shop and Andrew (mechanic) diagnosed the problem. After numerous calls with Andrew, he got me in touch with Friendship Kia in Beckley. Kia had an extended recall on the engines and I'm getting a new engine. YAY!!! Andrew is very knowledgeable and is such a nice, friendly person. If you're passing thru Oak Hill, WV and need car help, Prudence Towing and Andrew is the only place to call. Thanks so much Andrew.

STAY AWAY! Do not use this company under any circumstances. Price was increase $200 from time we called to when we picked it up 1.5 hours later, storage fees magically increase past what was on the signage at the front desk. Said they were open 24 hours on the phone but then charged a $50 fee for picking up the vehicle on Sunday (the same day we called.) They had us over a barrel, and they knew it.
My car died on the highway, they towed my vehicle back to their location which my insurance covered. They then refused to let me take my vehicle after giving me my keys and telling me I could take the car. After showing up w/ a tow and hitch they refused to let me take my car and said I now owe them $189?! Then told the local carrier they close at 4:30 and he would have to pay a gate charge when they close at 5p. So they charged me $289. Just for towing my car after already being paid.
I broke down less than 10 miles from my house on the side of the interstate, I was charged $169 for the driver doing less than an hrs work and traveling less than 20 miles round-trip. I would have waited for Glen's towing if I'd have known it was going to literally be highway robbery to use this tow service.
Ok so my son was driving a friend's car and got pulled the officers searched the car and called me since my son had no driver's license the car had to be towed the officers called prudence so they towed the car the next day I call to see how much it would be they told me 456.00 like are you serious they said because they had to charge a biohazard fee of 250.00 something because they found weed in the car. So since when is when a biohazard but they planted that weed there themselves becau5the police tore up the car and they didn't find anything and sai6they found it on the passenger side floor. This company is full of it and taking peop8hard earned money for their own benefit. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone
Very disappointed to be a visiting hiker in the region and come back to the trailhead to find me vehicle gone. But I could handle that disappointment. What I did not tolerate were the insults an employee leveled at me when I asked to inspect my car before providing the payment to take possession of the vehicle. (I was referred to as my boyfriend’s mistress since she didn’t know me from Adam.) Further more, my identification to prove the vehicle was mine was housed in the vehicle and when I asked to retrieve that so I could make payment, I was told I had to submit to allowing her to rifle through my personal effects to locate my identification. I’ll also add they informed me they would only take a cash payment not bank card. Overall an extremely disappointing experience all around. I encourage folks to use another service with more understanding of the importance of customer service.
Got stuck in the side of my mother in law's place back in October. I had used the top of yard to get to the side because it was raining and had no problem. It continued to rain throughout the night, so when I went to move the truck the next day, I couldn't move it as it just moved in place so I called Prudence towing. Owner came out and I told him the ground was really soft. I told him how I had moved the truck and he said ok. Owner proceeded to drive his truck right through the middle of her yard and as he moved you could see his truck sinking. He hooks the cable up to the truck and tries to pull the truck that was already stuck and in the process he starts to spin himself. Then he unhooks and tries to get out himself and leaves a double strip of wheel marks about a foot deep and about 100 feet long. He is still gets stuck before he could get back to the driveway which was gravel and solid ground. He ends up having to call his other driver to come and get him out, which the other driver had enough sense to stay on solid ground and pull him out. So they end up linking double cables and getting my truck out. Charged me 350.00 (WOW). Called owner today and spoke with secretary and told her what had happened and asked if they would come out and fix the damages and owner wouldn't return my call and had his secretary call back and tell me he wasn't responsible for anything! Guess my attorney will be taking care of this. I wouldn't use this company to tow anything. If he screws up, your responsible for his actions! There's alot better towing companies out there. If I could rate them a zero, I would. They are horrible!
