I am from skagit county, and would make the drive up to parberry to exchange copper cause they always seemed honest and paid better then the places in skagit county, however this time they really screwed me, before i even went up there to do this, i took my brand new luggage scale, that ive used a couple times and it is always on point and weighed the bag and it came out to 32.3 pounds, so -.3 for bag which then shoulda been 31 to 32 pounds, and almost all of it was hand stripped by me number 1, they went and printed out 20 pounds, for 50 bucks and copper being at its highest its ever been since recording prices of it... they really took advantage, and the old man running the mini scale was a grumpy old man and wouldnt even answer my question, so i will never go back there again, if im gonna get ripped off might as well be my home county....thanks
For the last 40 years when I took metal to parberry they gave me money. This time I had to pay for my broken fridge, fair enough they have to recycle the refrigerant. Still a good company!
You call and they tell you they are paying a certain amount. Then when you get there and AFTER You have unloaded everything they tell you a much lower amount. Thieves.
Stay away from this place!!! They are unorganized mess.. Ran by a hot head. That his own family didn't even want to work with. This is what you get when you work with them 2000$ worth of property damage and this is just one area. Paid cash for my unit over two years ago!!! They decided because of thier poor bookeeping that I didn't pay for it and just came and took it.. No notice, no paperwork, no lock out, No due process!!... So buyer beware.. The sheriff and courts will handle my problems from here..
