Absolutely beautiful place, but be ready to pay very high prices, sky rocketed prices, for anything. There is nothing really on the island in terms of stores; one grocery store. It's mostly homes and views. I stayed with my sister who lives on the island. It's gorgeous! Must take a ferry to get there and there is a cost and long wait lines to get on. The ferries cancel at the last minute if it's not full, so beware if you need to get off the island because you could get stuck on it.
Shaw Island is an extra ordinary place. Very quite. Essentially no restaurants, hotels, hostels, or other tourist support services - except for the charming general store at the ferry terminal. Google it before you go.
Great little island. Awesome views and a very laid back feel. Make sure you bring everything you need. Only one small general store and no gas on island.
Beautiful little island to visit, but unless you know someone there, you will have little to do, as there is not much there. We went to hunt, and the deer are plentiful, with little hunting pressure. They have a good diet, and seem very healthy.
Shaw island is a great place to visit if you like nature. There is not much to do here there's only two parks and I couldn't find one of them. Looks like a great Island to retire to nice and quiet. There is only one store and it's kind of expensive so bring what you need if you're Road Trippin
