This has by far been the cleanest and nicest scrap yard I have been to!!! They are very knowledgeable and so accommodating. The guys working the dock were very chill and helped explain a lot in the differences in my wire, never scrapped wire before so that was nice to be able to learn a little bit on that. Plus I love that it gives you an option to get some cash out of your total instead of it all on a check!!! The cashier lady explained the cash and check difference depending on what you bring in! If your looking for a great scrap yard I would recommend coming to Calbag Metals. Definitely will be back!!!

With a lot of free time on my hand after getting laid up from work, and after a few dumb tweakers were arrested after cutting the comm lines on my block, I spent a lot of free time peeling insulation from the comm lines that xfinity said was fair game since the lineman didn't take it with him. I ended up with a bucket of bright copper weighing 30lbs. Well, I asked my little brother to take it in for me and told him to take it to calbag cuz they're the best around. Well, when they gave him #2 prices for that copper I sent with him, he asked why. They told him that it looks a little reddish which means it came from electric motors that use coated copper. With the price difference between #1 & #2 that really lowered the value of the recycled copper.
I just called this place to offer them 2 catalytic converter and cooper pipes leftovers from my backyard. Once I said “Good morning, I have 2 catalytic converters” lady told me “We dont take catalytic converter, Good luck to you” and she hung up on me I even did not have a chance to tell her about cooper part she said “good luck” and hung up Guys, look for other places!
Lady with curly hair in office seems to be to good for her job.. had to come back after she filled out my check wrong, coworker laughed when he saw the check she had filled out was empty, what was better when she came back to re-do it and had an attitude and starting arguing as if I had did something wrong, just grabbed my check and left at that point, will not be returning
Great team here at Calbag. We got our car stuck on the weight ramp because we took a wrong turn, and immediately we had 7 guys on the spot trying to help us out. Only took them 5 minutes to come up with a solution and slowly use a forklift to lift the tire back up.

VJ the old dock master was an amazing guy and if you weren't in a hurry he made yur wait worth it and I went over there from TMI and he told me if I would bring my stuff to him he would make it worth my time so I did and he did also great man of his word
These guys are the best! I have scrapped at a few of these yards, and calbag is the best price on copper, the best and fastest service I have seen, and the staff is super friendly! Sammy is one hell of a forklift driver haha!
They are a absolute necessity for getting rid of scrap material. They offer great prices for the value of the material you give. Although make sure you come prepared bring plenty of stuff. All item you scrap you should clean wether it be oil or something clean it off. Also the people are very nice and friendly and the establishment is very well maintained. I work for a dealership and they are my go to spot to recycle our scrap in the fife tacoma area.
They were very helpful and friendly. I hadn't been there before, so I was unfamiliar with how their system works - they were patient and helpful. I have almost no voice right now (after surgery) and with all the background noise they had a hard time hearing & understanding me, but they listened very well and even shut down a forklift to hear me. After repeating my questions a couple of times they answered them and made me feel welcome. That's good business, and seems to be rare these days.
Best price around for bright and shiny copper. They were very fair with negotiating pricing, girls at front desk were very nice as well. Nice big and clean, organized area for parking and dumping. Definitely worth the drive if having to travel.
You cant find a better place to take your scrap metal.The gentlemen that work there are very helpful in seeing that you get the best amount for your scrap and are very helpful in helping you sort and learn which metals are what and how to tell the difference .so igf.you got any questions about scap metals ask JT at calbag metatls and watch out for that crazy guy.on the forklift hes liable to make you laugh but is very helpful and knowledgeable of the metals i believe his name is victor so a big thankyou goes out to you 2 thanks
I have always had a good experience there. I have been going to Calbag Metals and using their services for over 25 years. I drive down from Snohomish just to go to them. I made the mistake of trying other places beforehand. I will continue to give my business for life.
I never expected there to be good customer service at a metal recycling place so I was pretty blown away when I did get that from Sammy and the office manager guy (which I forgot his name). They helped out a great deal, went out of their way (I think) and their prices are competitive. 10/10 would recommend, even if you’re a first-timer.
Had a pretty big load of scrap metal that’s been collecting around the lot and knew it was time to do something with it before it got out of hand. I’ve recycled trailer loads of scrap metal a couples times before and just didn’t feel like the previous business was being honest and fair on pricing. So I decided this next time to do a little research and get quotes. I have to be honest, I was quite surprised how fast and professional Shawn W. was responding back to my email. He told me what to process in order to get a higher price on certain metals. I had a lot of questions for him and he always went above and beyond to answer them and even reached out to give me a call! When arriving there to unload I still was not sure what to expect due to past experiences, but that quickly changed when the weigh master greeted me at the scale pull up window. This place can be very intimidating with the sure size and fork lifts driving all around especially for someone new like me, but you will see it’s a well oiled machine and they know what they are doing. The weigh master instructed me what to do and where to go and even had time to throw in a few jokes and laughs about my fanny pack! lol I got everything unloaded and was greeted by a couple more workers who helped sort, weigh and go over pricing on the remaining scrap metal. Everyone from the first contact until the last was friendly, professional and honest and I couldn’t be any happier with the service they provided! Will definitely be returning on the next load of metal!! Thanks you Calbag Metals crew!! You went Above and beyond with the service you provided!
So I decided to give Calbag Metals a try since they take both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. I experienced possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever. It took like 5 minutes for an employee to come to the loading dock so I could unload. Then they classified all the high grade 100% aluminum screen as “irony sheet” at $0.10 per pound. When I’ve gone to Tacoma Metals this same material gets classified as aluminum sheet. The real kick in the teeth came when I went to the cashier to get paid. They said “check or cash” and gave me what I thought was $15 for my $14.97 order. When I counted it out though, there was only $14 there and I asked and the cashier said they do not give out coins and that it was too late to switch to check. This is total BS because I never heard her say “no coins”. She should have been courteous and should have said, “Are you sure you want cash? If we pay you in cash, you will lose 97 cents because we don’t give out coins.” Having been treated in such a disrespectful way, I will never come back here and Tacoma Metals will get all my future business.

I looked at my receipt and nowhere does it say "no coins with cash payment". If this information is posted near the cashier window it must be in small print because I did not see it. I felt I was intentionally left in the dark about Calbag's "no coins with cash payment" policy and that is the main reason for my negative review.
Love the employees here! Always a good experience. The market dictates the prices, so it goes up and down, but they seem to be very fair and competitive.
Been here twice now this week and in and out pretty quick. Got decent/typical prices for what I dropped off. Staff was easy to deal with and pretty nice. Clean areas too. Will probably keep coming back.
Calbag is pretty competitive, as prices go they pay top dollar, always a spot open to dump your scrap metal in to a bin, fork lift operators are quick never leave you waiting, the man that runs the scale he is very helpful and curtious, all employees that work there are more then ready to help u, check out the office are very helpful as well
Love, Love, LOVE Calbag! I have been to a few other places and will not go anywhere else... and I am in Poulsbo. As with Roberto Rosales' review below, the dude on the forklift is awesome!! He is very helpful, very respectful. I am a woman and my first few trips to other locations were not pleasant. The gentleman on the forklift is always smiling and helpful and the rest of the staff is professional. To top it off, their rates are competitive and I usually get more from Calbag. I own a non-profit so the wire/metal etc. is donated to us and we turn it in for funding. Thank you for your hard work and customer loyalty!
This place is a rip off they have you & your metals into totes and buckets that weight maybe 2 or 3 pounds then they will deduct 7 pounds or more from your weight, not including the weight they take off from copper wires that still have the rubber casing in them. Not one have I been even a little satisfied from this place. I also think the have their scale purposely off. Don't do business with these guys
