I actually had a great experience here, but IIRC it was pauls son in law fixing my heater core on short notice over the weekend.
We brought my dads 04 f150 here and payed for them to install a brand new reman 5.4l with the fixed phasers and timing chain, and it was there for MONTHS. Almost a year.
Paul constantly had excuses, blamed the guy who fixed my truck or the young people that he hired, and had to tow it back to his shop more than once. Then he couldn't find employees.
They failed to find a simple issue with the actuator for the variable intake and removed the transmission pan and range selector for some reason. They had damaged the wiring harness at the back of the engine doing the swap, and it struggled to rev past 3 grand, and as soon as they touched the transmission pan it blew a reverse band and was parked again.
The code for the intake runner was stored in the ECU the whole time and I found it with a $15 scanner. Run condition was IMRC solenoid and linkage, or the harness, but they never figured it out at all.
I reposted this because I realize the review was removed for some reason and it shouldn't be. My dad was so sick about this being in the shop for a year he didn't even want to deal with the vehicle anymore. It's unforgettable for me, so I'll just save and repost the review if you flag it again. People need to know.
These guys are absolute legends. They got me home after a breakdown 60 miles from home. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, and I cannot thank them enough. God bless you for everything you do.
If you want to wait forever to get your car looked at and then have them forget half of what you asked them to fix and call you a liar saying you didn't mention them plus half the time the work is not very good took 5 tries to fix my ac and an entire summer. And my truck I needed for moving they wait until day before move after having it for weeks to get to it then forget I mentioned antifreeze leak get it up on lift then oh by.the way you got a leak we can't fix until monday.... and it's Friday evening everything is about to close so good luck! How about try listening to customer and maybe have a paper they fill out listing issues so you don't forget just saying maybe you won't forget so much.

Paul did quite a bit of work on my F-150. The price was more Tham fair for the amount of work he did. My truck runs great and gets the best gas mileage I've seen since owning it. Great job Paul!
Yeah this guy Paul had my truck towed, he told the police that it an abandoned vehicle. My truck had been there more than a year. But, he couldn’t call me to pick up my truck. He doesn’t guarantee his work. Also, If you’re a person of color I’d avoid that shop.
I had a concern with my 1988 Toyota truck. I had driven 2 hours from home and well, the truck leaked a little radiator fluid. I was able to drop off in the morning and hoped for the guys to have time that night or next day to look at it . Surprisingly, I called up later that day and he was able to take a look at it and to boot he didn't charge me. I've been to many mechanics all over the country. I was a mechanic for a while. It's unheard of to get that kind of service. I would definitely bring my truck there next time I need some work.
My partner and I had some car trouble on a road trip, thankfully we were able to stop in at Paul's Automotive. We weren't sure what was going on with the car, Paul is a very sweet and smart guy and gave the car a look at, turns out it was just a cosmetic problem that made an awful sound when we made sharp turns or used the brakes. Paul is very kind and knowledgeable and I recommend you stop in for any car issues!
Always pleased with their work. Really appreciate that they tell you what really "needs" to be done, NOT what would make them the most money! Their integrity is MUCH appreciated! No place to 'wait' while work is being done, but it's worth working around that. Office is small and full, filled with years of character, and sometimes you even get to see the adorable grandkids! These guys are great!
If your searching for an HONEST mechanic, then you can end your search right here. Not only can you trust this man, but Paul, I believe, truly cares about his customers and their vehicles. He LISTENS to what you might think is wrong, no matter what is wrong, he listens to you.

I do know that this is a good guy though, and works his ass off to try to make people happy. It's hard in these small towns to thrive as a business, so my hats off to anyone that can.
The owner of this establishment has chosen to squander his right to free speech by flying a Confederate flag from his adjacent home. That he chose to do this after Charlottesville is even more revolting. As a local resident and business owner, it deeply bothers me that this town is so hostile to PoC that it allows this to go unchecked. Taking my business elsewhere is the least I can do.
WELL TWICE I HAVE TAKEN OUR CARS THERE AFTER A DEALERSHIP HAS SAID "NEEDS A NEW ENGINE" . I HAVE THEN TAKEN THEM TO PAUL'S FOR A 2ND OPINION AND HE HAS LOOKED DEEPER INTO THE PROBLEM AND FOUND THAT THIS IS NOT TRUE.... MY IN-LAWS HAVE BEEN TAKING THEIR CARS THERE FOR YEARS!! I WILL NEVER EVER TRUST ANOTHER DEALERSHIP....
Horrible experience they are cheap cause they do cheap ass work. I had a surpertine belt replaced and they installed incorrectly and will not admitt error. Their answer was well this part is bad... Guess what that part was fine and an ASE MECHANIC and NAPA MANGER both say belt was forced on incorrectly and thats why there are rip marks on a 4 month old belt.
