At the dump just one block away, they are happy to charge YOU to take scrap appliances when you could simply go here, to Sutter Metals right next door and put a few dollars in your pocket for that same scrap metal. No-brainer.

I've been going to thus location for over twenty years now. Once in awhile something comes up. This time it was my fault. Policy change that I was unaware of, no pulling parts after vehicle is on Sutter property. I always get my rims and tires back. Not thus time. I ranted and raved and was told no the only way is if it comes in on a trailer and wheels are already off. Hell no I thought, those are of my personal vehicle. I got in touch with a gentleman in Tacoma offices and he was helpful. He arranged for a one time swap of wheels and tires so I got mine back. I like it when a company's goes the extra mile for the customer. I will continue to bring my scrap here. Thank you.

It was quick.easy and the folks were very friendly. Being a first timer there my experience was great!

I just had a great experience with both reception and service. It is always nice to see people who enjoy their work and customer service.

Busy place. Took a while to get recognized. Kinda tired of not being paid full value of aluminum.

I would give 0 stars these people are rip offs Marvin and Eric sat and full argument with me about what they weren't taking for scrap today when dropping off a 8ft truck bed of mixed metal and then proceeded to only give me 400lbs in scrap payment for nearly 1,000lbs of metal not to mention how rude these thieves are I mean come on if your going to steal scrap from your clients at least smile, these guys are beeping horns and yelling at everyone. I would blame there caveman like behavior on the heat today but this is not the first offense as they pull this with me every time I come here. My recommendation would be for the company to let these guys go and fix the scale so customers aren't getting ripped off...if your doing this for money don't come to this yard! Don't just take my word for it be sure to read the other reviews left on Google by there customers I'm apparently not the only one dealing with these thieves, and as far as digital scales go my truck has a dry weight of less then 6800 lbs I had a scale weight around 7,900 coming in and 7,400 leaving so y'all trying to claim that a freezeban hose and 40lbs of peer footers weighs 600lbs only proves my point all the same. I run a business that often brings you scrap I save all my receipts for taxes on every receipt the scale weight leaving is the same which is funny because I've had both empty and full cab during different visits and yet same weight leaving every time 7400lbs explain that. 1 star will update when y'all get honest about how you do business.

We need a new recycling center. These people are dishonest and ridiculous. They should have a scale that the customer can see as it's weighed. It makes you not want to bother with recycling and take it all to the dump. The least they should do is weigh stuff properly, not just weigh stuff partially. If I do decide to keep on recycling I will take it to Longview, at least they are fairly honest.

Callie, Matt and Brody who are staff members at Centralia Sutter metals, treated me very good and paid me what my metal was worth. I'm very impressed with this staff at Centralia location.

My name is Don, and I have been taking my metal to this Sutter metal scrap yard for a very long time and all staff members have treated me with respect and kindness. Also, they pay fair prices for my metal. I am grateful for the Centralia staff members. They are very organized and respectful to me and my family every time.

Everyone there is very helpful. Never had a bad experience. The lady in the office always is kind and smiling.

Don't go to this place. The people that work there are rude and just want to rip you off any way they can. Extremely disappointed with my last visit to the place. I definitely will drive the extra miles to go to a different place. Only good thing was they weren't busy at all but now I see why.

Very nice people. I am 76 years old and getting rid of 45 years of old farm junk. The staff always comes out to help me unload. Lewis county is lucky to have this business in the area.

The operator that weighs and pays is an excellent asset to your company ,she's fast, knowledgeable and courteous ,and always greeted with a smile...

Had 4500 lbs in a dump trailer...200 at most was aluminum. Had lots of semi parts drums fifth wheel parts and they gave it to me at tin/light price. Thought I would try local this time will not be going back there when I should have gone south.

Hauled some scrap out of the yard and brought it in. Employees told me where to dump and the best way to manuever out. Wasn't looking to get $$$ , just wanted the scrap gone... Have another load ready to take in.

This scrap yard is a joke!! I own multiple car lots, have brought metal here for awhile. Then brought it else where and realized they have been ripping me off this whole time. Not sure how they are even still in business let alone have multiple locations. Will never return.

Update 12/10/21: Went in on 12/8/21 to get rid of cardboard. Very nice person now in shack, talked with new manager very informative with me. Whole new crew on sight working and looking busy. Have not been here since August 2021. Good to see old crew gone. Re doing stars from ⭐⭐ to ⭐⭐⭐⭐. Good to see you are listening to your customers.

Nice yard employee's but since Richard has left the yard as gone to hell. There is nowhere to turn a 53' trailer around that doesn't have an item in your way. If it wasn't for the company I drive for I wouldn't go back.

Had been there before and had great service and fair price. Went on 8/6 to drop off scrap and the service was horrible it was 4 and they closed at 430 didn’t want to weigh me they just wanted my free scrap so they rushed every one in and made us unload our metals. Some people in front of me just left they were so mad. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy there.

Went there yesterday just before close and they shorted me 36 pounds of aluminum only gave me 104 lbs of my 140 lbs I know the cause we went throw the scale and seen the weighed and also rang up my all aluminum radiator as a dirty radiator. I even told him it was all aluminum

It was great,took about an HR to load a bunch of stuff I didn't want anymore,and about an hr to stap it down,drive it and dump it . Left with cash in my pocket for cleaning my own yard.

Randy the tow truck driver was awesome! Our space for him to get two cars out was very limited and he did it with no issue. It took a few times to get it in the right position and hooking it different ways to get the cars out. He kept calm and cool during the whole thing. The office staff is also very friendly and they were pleasant to talk too. Highly recommend

They close earlier than times listed, u can drive from hour away and they close gate 30 minutes early, gate closed 20 minutes early u walk around talk to them they don't care that this be your third time driving long distance and them standing there before supposable closing time but won't help you, oh and mind you I freakin called before hand to make sure they not closing before time told me on phone and even talked to same person on phone and what a surprise she tells me different time. Horrible customer service since changed from Hand n Hand. Was happy customer then. I work seven days a week I'm 29 years old, you people have no excuse for your bad business and I know many of other people who use this place time to time and I will make sure they go else where. That was me being overly nice for how pissed off I am!!

The girl writing out the checks was rude couldn’t even hand my ID back to me she slid it right next to her on the table as well as when she needed to get around me she pointed and said “over there” more less telling me to move instead of excuse me or I need that side... Also with it being our first encounter of receiving a check we had to pay to have our check cashed so a $51 dollar check turned into a $42 dollar check which was never told to us nor explained that there could be a fee. Worst I’ve encountered in Washington so far..

They have the corner on the local market and they know it! One of the lowest paying yards I've seen. Don't sell them aluminum, they like to say its dirty and pay you 10 cents a pound. The staff there is marginal, the only one worth dealing with is Richard.

I called seven different scrapyards between Lacey and Centralia; Sutter Metals offered the best price for my car. The staff were friendly and helpful. Hours are flexible; I appreciate them being open on Saturday.
