I wouldn't go to this business after my experience across the street from Gary's place. My wife and I were enjoying a drink on the patio of the pub across the street when we hear chaos erupting from Gary's shop. It turns out someone had parked in his lot, and instead of respectfully talking to the car owner or simply calling a tow truck, he decides do block him in, prevent him from moving, and get into a shouting match for about 15 minutes, waving his arms around like a mad man, disrupting the quiet neighborhood. Take this story however you will, but I can safely say I won't be doing business with a man like this in the future.
We call him the Wizard! He's awesome with Volvos, is willing to charge less for cash payments (instead of credit). The only downside is I'd call him semi-retired, so sometimes he's out on vacation, but usually his voicemail message will let you know when he expects to be back.
Unlike dealer service center...no WiFi (maybe not), no cookies, no coffee. But my folks entrust their Volvo here. Gary’s easy going & run a legit shop. Recommended.
Was visiting my girlfriend when I happened to spit this garage. I’ve been looking for a Volvo specialist for a while, as there are none in my area. Had Gary give my car (1986 Volvo 240) an inspection, and couldn’t be more pleased. He got me in the morning after I called, addressed every issue I provided and either how or where to fix them, and even found a couple I had not considered. To top it all off, he charged me less than any other garages I’ve gone to for inspections in the past. Highly recommended for Volvo work and I’ll be returning for any repairs he is able to accommodate!
Gary, while being a volvo specialist, is also a specialist in being rude, not flexible, and acting like a big man child. I have a volvo, as do my mother and grandparents who do not work on their own cars, i wont reccomend them to go to this shop, or anyone for that matter unless you enjoy dealing with a salty character. The owner does a disservice to the volvo community which is mostly filled with warm friendly people, unlike himself.
Been a while since I got my repair done but my door panel was damaged and not put back together correctly after my repair. In addtion I was not happy with the way I was treated in regards to the work I needed done.
Gary knows everything Volvos. We have taken 3 generations of Volvos over and over again. He knows what he is doing and prices very fairly. I wouldnt trust another mechanic with volvos as much as I trust Gary!
Great turnaround, great work, great explanation of pricing. Gary showed me all the old parts he had replaced and why they needed to be changed. I plan on taking my Volvo back there next time I have any problems. Would definitely recommend.
