Bryan and Sarah have always been very helpful. We been taking our fleet vehicles for inspection and oil change for the past two years,and we never had any issues. All our vehicles were serviced in a timely matter manner. Thanks guys
Went in for an alignment and two tires. Ended up needing a full set of tires. Stephen gave me a good deal on a set in stock and had it finished before the close of business that day. Despite their bays being full! 10/10 would recommend.
We had a very impressive experience with this Pep Boys location. Our vehicle was in a bad spot. Bryan and TJ were awesome! They went beyond the normal when addressing our vehicle. Bottom line, we will be using this location for all 4 of our vehicles’ needs! Thanks Very Much!

The Pep Boys Hutton Dr location is hit or miss. They seem to have a time management problem lots of days, it could take you 3 hours to get a simple tire patch or tire change. This is usually not an issue if a place is busy, but the problem is they don’t communicate this well from the beginning. They will tell you 30 minutes, then as you sit there for 2 hours , unless you go to the counter, they will not update you on delays. Customer service is nice, facilities are clean.
Service was unacceptable due to an estimates that were double, I was doing comparison to get the price for a Mercedes and they over estimated the price of service to including 4 new tires and 4 rotters, 4 brake pads 4 brake sensor which were not needed for the car, it only needed the backs not all around. This deception, and they tried to get a Former Car Sales Executive who sold New and used for a major car dealership in VA for over 7 yrs. Its just what these shops do so everyone beware.
Outstanding experience. Drove from Cape Charles. Used Tireget.com to order and pick my new set of tires and install them. Brian P. At the front desk was awesome. He really knows his business, great people skills with me and all the other customers on the phone while I waited. Also got an annual state inspection done. Best of all Brian has a a Toyota Tundra and he showed me all the aftermarket upgrades he did to his truck. Amazing employee!!!
I came to pep Boys, auto service and tires in Virginia Beach offer of virginia beach boulevard Mr. bryan helped me with my 2020 Tucson. Customer service is excellent and he gave a friendly and warm smile. I could recommend friends and family.
I booked an appointment specifying my exact type of vehicle for tire rotation and waited for an hour and 15 min to be told that my vehicle is too heavy for their lift. 2 hrs of complete wasted time.
BEWARE! These guys are scammers!!! Got a state inspection - They failed me for front brakes (pads, rotors AND calipers) and tire tread. I personally replaced the brake pads less than 6 months ago (there are absolutely no issues) and the tires have 5/32 of tread. On top of that they also said my alignment was off after they just performed an alignment 15 minutes prior to the state inspection!!! NO ETHICS!
My husband was in the hospital & my tire kept running dangerously low so thought to just schedule through website for Hutton Pep Boys location nearest me. Then made call to confirm they could replace my tires that if needed since only car and husband in hospital. However when I walked in the guy just barely acknowledged me and then acted like no appointment expected. Explained all above regarding husband & I called. He acted put out and said if tires needed replaced to schedule for next day due to “availability to place them”. Is that code for not enough staff?” I’m thankful the tire was fixed so no need for new tires!! Here’s the interesting observation I noticed quite a few staff just standing around sitting and n groups talking. Unbelievable. When done they didn’t point out where my car was parked which finally realized was far away from where I initially parked near Pep Boys entrance. My hunch is I was a woman. What else could it be? Highly unprofessional! My husband considering we don’t return there.
Pep Boys has never steered me wrong or tried to fabricate problems that didn’t exist! Thank you Guys! Time after time they prove themselves to be honest and make recommendations not fabrications for recommended repairs!
Just adding to my last review… Went to a local parts store to get my alternator tested and they said it needed to be replaced. Meanwhile, after going to Pep Boys, it was identified there was nothing wrong with my alternator, which I knew all along. You guys are awesome thank you!
I Brought my vehicle in to get one tire replaced. When I arrived I was told it would be 1 hour to get one tire replaced. One hour into my wait I was told the tire tech was going to lunch.... I'd understand if it was 10-15 minutes into my wait if I was informed this, that way I can plan to get picked up to get other errands done. My wait time to get one tire change ended up being almost 3 hours.... Lack of communication from the tire tech and the lack of respect for my time isn't ok.
I get people need to take a lunch break. However they need to Communicate that with the customer ahead of time. Not after they've already waited an hour.
Receptionist and service manager were prompt, tire technician not so much.
I had gone to 2 other places to get help but thirds time the charm right! A huge drill bit punctured my tire and they weren’t sure if a patch could do it. They did try and then had some complications with getting the wheel back on due to my after market rims. However they did find a work around for me so I could at least drive home and then get it installed correctly by the place that originally did it. They were very nice and were great at communicating things. The waiting area was also very clean and comfortable seating and offered coffee, tv, and magazines while you waiting.
Ive been going here since i moved to the area, as I've always taken my vehicles to a pep boys if the dealership i purchased it from isn't close. I normally had no issues up until recently in November-ish and was told my tires were worn and needed new ones (i hadn't even had the car for a year) so got new ones bc they were a smidgen louder/rough for my liking anyways. I went in yesterday (July 2 25) for my usual oil change and 15000 mile alignment. When i went in and said i had an appointment, they asked me "are you sure you want to get an alignment?" and if the vehicle is pulling to one side or the other. I told them i was sure. I didn't catch the dudes name but I've had the same guy the past couple of times and he just talks to me like I'm kinda stupid, like i don't know whats going on. I understand i look/am young and that equals naivety in today's society, and i hate to say it but i do have a clue. ANYWAYS, i left with the services completed (i hope), and as I'm driving home notice that my dash cam is unplugged (I'm religious about checking because these virginia drivers are..phenomenal), and even when getting parts maintenance done at a kia dealership they've never unplugged my cam. Went through my paperwork and noticed the alignment check print out (before and after results) were not with my paperwork, go back the next day to see if i could get a print out as its never been in issue and turns out the printer for it doesn't work and hasn't worked "since I've worked here" per the same clerk i had the day before. Safe to say i probably wont come back because if I'm getting asked if I'm "sure i want an alignment" twice, not getting a diagnostic pre/post alignment print off, and then finding my dash cam is unplugged after service is suspicious to little 23 y/o me. Used to heavily recommend, not anymore.
They replaced the rear wheel bearings and installed 4 new tires on my Subaru Forester. The service was friendly and professional, and the work was completed on time and at a competitive price. I would definitely use their services again if the need arises.
I got four Cooper tires, great service. I go here often and I know they take a great care of my car every time. I was leaving on a trip and needed new tires, they not only put the tires on, but made sure my vehicle was safe for the trip. If you’re looking for a honest mechanic, this is the place to go.
Brought the car in for a nail in my tire. Added on a state inspection. 25 hours later it was ready for pickup. Drove away and the tire pressure alert went off for the same tire. Stopped and verified the nail that I had marked location with a marker was still in the tire. Returned to have the Clerk try to tell there were 2 nails but this one was missed. When Christopher brought me back showing me he pulled the nail told me he forgot to do the repair the day before. I was charged and drove away with a dangerous issue.. no accountability no apology. Unreliable business, absolutely unacceptable to charge for work not done and risk people’s lives!
Pep Boys at 321 Hutton Lane, in Virginia Beach is a great little auto maintenance and auto service/repair shop. I've been coming here for years, and after getting my oil changed today decided it's about time I gave them a great review. Steve and Sarah have helped my wife and I with our cars and those of our kids and grandkids seems like forever. I like them because they're honest and straightforward with reasonable prices. I had an outstanding experience at the Pep Boys Automotive Shop on Hutton Lane in Virginia Beach, thanks to Brian and Stephen! From start to finish, their service was fast, efficient, and professional. They got my car back on the road in no time, which I really appreciated. The team was knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of. Plus, I was able to use my military discount, which was an added bonus. I highly recommend this location for anyone in need of quality car care. 10/10 all the way!
Sarah and Chris were such a blessing to me during my first experience utilizing Pep Boys services. Sarah helped me navigate the process of scheduling my service and ensuring the parts were available, and to my surprise, she also applied a $50 off coupon! Chris happened to come in during his day off, just to check if anyone needed an inspection, which is exactly what I needed! Not only were they able to replace my break shoes and a new tire, they were also able to inspect my car. Their customer service was exceptional and I am truly grateful!
They were friendly and efficient. The waiting room was very stylish. I should have took a picture. Most places where you wait for your car to be inspected looks like a garage. This was the most beautiful place I have seen as a waiting room.
I’ve been coming here for years but my recent state inspection is what made me write a review. Bryan at the front desk has the best customer service and he was accommodating with my time request. Chris, the inspector, was very knowledgeable and was able to tell me everything I needed to know. The entirety of the visit was amazing and it only took couple of hours until I got everything got done. Thank you for the services guys!
I highly recommend this location. I had a flat tire on the interstate and had to wait approximately 2 hours for a tow truck. I called PepBoys after contacting my insurance company for a tow, to make sure they had a tire in stock. They quoted me a price on the phone and when I got there they had the tire waiting for me. I was only there maybe 30 minutes from start to finish.
Steve and the team at Pep boys on Hutton in VB deliver!! Super cool and will help work with you to get you car or truck back on the road!! Clean and efficient shop too! Just got new tires on my Canyon Denali!
About as unfriendly service advisor as I’ve ever encountered. Spent more time arguing with me than resolving a problem. I could get a much better price online than what she quoted, then got mad because I found it on the PepBoys website. At least they were quick.
